It will be Frank's parents that will arrive and empty the factory, but then maybe her brother comes to help her

Coronation Street's Carla Connor suffers another setback later this month when she hears that evil Frank Foster is to become a free man again.

On the day that Frank is in court trying to overturn the refusal of bail, Carla is still struggling to come to terms with her ordeal - leaving Maria worried because the factory's in trouble without any leadership.

When Peter pays a visit to Carla, she admits that she's having a tough day as she knows that Frank might be released. However, it's clear that having Peter's support is some consolation to her.

Later, just as Peter is leaving, DC Malone turns up to speak to Carla - breaking the bad news that Frank has won his appeal for bail.

As Carla reels, Frank celebrates with his solicitor and vows to turn his attention to the factory once again by reasserting his control. Could Carla's nightmare be only just beginning

I do hope Frank gets his comeuppance. Or else the women who rang the helpline will think it's not worth ringing!

Good to see Peter is still supporting Carla though.

Monday

Maria is worried as the factory's in trouble without any leadership and despite counselling, Carla's not rallying. When Peter agrees to speak to Carla, she admits that today's a tough day - Frank's in court attempting to overturn the refusal of bail, but having Peter there is some tonic.

As Peter leaves and explains that he's going on holiday later, they share a warm moment, but it's broken by the arrival of DC Malone who has news on Frank's appeal…

Meanwhile, Stella arrives back from holiday and is shocked to see Tracy behind the bar. Resuming control, Stella's soon had enough of Tracy, and Steve has to quell a full-scale row. Who will Steve side with?

Elsewhere, Eileen's confidence is knocked following a run-in with Gail and she cancels her date, while Chris is deeply conflicted after lying about his illness.

Carla reels as DC Malone reveals that Frank won his appeal for bail. Back at home, Frank celebrates with his solicitor, insisting that his priority will now be his business as he refuses to let Carla ruin him. Later, Carla's jolted by a knock at the door but it's Stella asking how she's coping. At first Carla's hostile, but when Stella admits that she knows what Carla's going through as she was raped herself, she opens up.

After their chat, Carla finds the strength to get her face on and return to work, but when she finds Anne - Frank's mother - in the office she's horrified. What is Anne up to?

Meanwhile, Steve's awkward as he endures a family meal at the Bistro with the Barlows. As they quiz him about his intentions to Tracy, he confirms that they are together but it's clear he's still uncomfortable with the arrangement.

Elsewhere, Eileen's dreams come true when Paul calls at her house and their date goes ahead after all, while Chris spies an opportunity to ruin Lloyd and Cheryl's holiday plans by speaking to Brian about his fears that Russ's education will suffer.

Thursday

Carla's horrified to hear that Frank is within his rights to appoint Anne as his proxy in Underworld. She makes it clear that she won't co-operate but Anne makes no apologies, refusing to accept the allegations that Carla has made against her son.

Carla's a woman on the edge, though, and when a client gets a little flirty she freaks out, leaving Anne asking questions of Frank. Will he be able to convince Anne that it's all part of a conspiracy to ruin him?

Meanwhile, Eileen can't wipe the smile off her face as she agrees to meet Paul in the pub for a second date. She's mortified when the factory girls turn up, but Paul soon wins them over and Eileen's proud to call him her fella. However, as they relax at Number 11, Paul receives a call and is forced to rush off. He tells Eileen that he's needed at work, but is there more to it?

Elsewhere, Becky bottles up her hurt over Steve; Owen's keen to tell Faye that he and Anna are now an item; while Sylvia finds one of Mary's discarded competition entries and submits it in her name.

Friday

Carla's struggling to hold it together at work, and when Anne questions her about losing a big order, her brittle facade is shattered and she screams at her to get out. Reporting back to Frank, Anne affirms that Carla's clearly cracking up. While Frank's satisfied that she's playing into his hands, he admits that they need to do something to stop Carla from ruining his business.

Alone in the factory, Carla's gone into meltdown. Hearing this, Stella heads over and offers some wise words. But just as Carla finds some strength, Anne walks in to deliver Frank's latest blow…

Meanwhile, when Eileen discovers Paul has left his wallet, she sees it as a great excuse to call at his house. However, it quickly becomes clear that a shocked Paul doesn't want her there as he practically shuts the door in her face. Eileen's convinced he's gone off her, but could there be another explanation?

Elsewhere, Tyrone tells Kirsty the whole truth about his past; Sian announces that she's going on holiday with her mum and Sophie's desperate to come up with enough cash to join them; while Tina's annoyed as the locals warm to Kirsty.
Carla's astounded as Anne's removal men take 49% of the materials and machines from the factory. Calling her solicitor, Carla realises that she's powerless to stop them. Insisting that she can't take this lying down, Carla reveals she's going to confront Frank. Refusing to let her go alone, Maria's forced to drive her to his house.

Carla's intent but once inside, she becomes emotional on seeing Frank. As she screams abuse, Maria's forced to pull her away. Back at the flat, Carla's drained but the day has a final sting in its tail when DC Malone arrives with shocking news…

Meanwhile, Eileen's surprised to find Paul on her doorstep after his brush-off earlier. Apologising, he tells Eileen that there's something she needs to know - his brother recently split with his wife and is stopping at his house. Eileen's won over and as they enjoy another date, Paul admits that he was once married himself. But is he being entirely honest with her?

Matt takes Tommy to one side over his pursuit of Tina, while Amber promises Sophie that they can have fun together when she fails to come up with the cash to go on holiday with Sian.
