Monday episode 5376 - 05/09/11
Newly pregnant Leah is taking on extra shifts at the Diner to cover Irene’s sudden disappearance to the city. Leah becomes suspicious after April asks to cover her shifts, and when Leah presses, it becomes clear that April is hiding something. When Irene returns home and Leah is fishing around for answers, Irene decides to finally reveal her cancer diagnosis to Leah. Irene battles with the decision of which surgery to have, so she takes Leah’s advice and approaches Marilyn to discuss her own experience with breast cancer.
Xavier is home attempting to study and simultaneously care for John, who is couch-ridden following his ankle injury from the Surf Club brawl. After John learns a severe storm front is approaching Summer Bay he gives Xavier his mobile and instructs him to close the beach. However, when John wakes from a nap, it appears he has been ignoring all the wrong warning signs when he collapses on the floor in severe pain.
The Walkers are trying hard to break the ice with Sasha by planning a quiet family night in with DVDs. When Sid, Indi and Dex go out to prepare the property for the storm, Sasha receives a phone call and sneaks off. Ignoring Xavier’s attempt to close the beach, Sasha continues on to find her half-brother Felix, who has run-away from home. When Sasha learns Felix is being bullied by his half-brothers, she promises to get a job and save for a house so they can be reunited.
Tension is high between Romeo and Indi, after Romeo confesses that he and Alf sunk Harvey’s mooring as payback for loosing theirs to the Council. Romeo is offered the chance of a lifetime when Roo organises for him to take Dennis Harling and two investors out to look at the Resort site. But Alf puts an end to Romeo’s second chance at getting the Marina contract when the impending storm sees him stop Romeo from using the Blaxland.
Tuesday episode 5377 - 06/09/11
Following Romeo decision to knock back Dennis’ charter job, Harvey Ryan steps in to take over. When a severe weather warning comes in over the radio, Romeo is forced to tell Alf that Harvey took the charter and Roo along with him. When Harvey’s boat sinks in the storm, it’s Romeo and Alf to the rescue as they navigate treacherous conditions to save Roo, Harvey, Dennis and the investors. Alf and Romeo manage to locate every except Harvey, so it’s Romeo who remains behind to search for him.
Sid fears for Sasha who has disappeared, so he and Dex head to the Diner to look for her. When Sid is called to the Hospital, Dex and April continue their search and head to the Surf Club where Xavier informs them that he last saw Sasha heading down to the beach.
John’s condition is worsening as he reaches for the phone to call for help, only to learn the power has been cut in the storm. Sasha and Felix battle through the storm and take refuge in Gina’s House, only to find John collapsed on the floor. Sasha calls Sid who sends an ambulance to John’s rescue, then falls foul of Xavier, who finds her attempting to loot the house.
Wednesday episode 5378 - 07/09/11
The school becomes an evacuation centre and when it collapses under the weight of the storm, Heath and Bianca find themselves trapped in the rubble… too close for comfort.
Leah is stuck in the Diner, battening down the hatches for the storm. On learning that VJ has disappeared from the school, she panics but Elijah offers to help her locate him. Leah’s pregnancy is at risk when she suffers some bleeding.
Romeo locates Harvey who is in a bad way, but he manages to get him in the car, only to be stopped short by a fallen tree. Matters only get worse when their car gets bogged dangerously close to a cliff face, we wonder if these two will ever make it out alive. But Romeo and Harvey ultimately return safe and sound with Romeo being touted as a hero.
Thursday episode 5379 - 08/09/11
Following the school’s roof collapse, Alf heads over to assist the SES with the rescue. Bianca and Heath are missing under the rubble and so too is Colleen. Marilyn hears the news and heads to the school and to everyone’s relief, Colleen is found after being trapped in the toilet – much to her embarrassment.
Liam anxiously awaits news on Bianca, but his relief at her rescue is short-lived when he sees Heath at her side, providing comfort. Back at the Beach House Liam confronts Bianca about being found with Heath. Bianca is quick to deny his allegations and shuts down Liam’s hopes of them possibly reuniting.
Elijah and VJ make it to the school in time to find Miles to inform him of Leah’s situation. Miles meets Leah at the Hospital, both fearing they are loosing the baby. Following an examination at the Hospital, their nightmare is over when they learn the baby is safe and sound.
Charlie is called out to attend a car accident only to find the victim is Tegan and that young Darcy has gone missing from the car. As Charlie waits for rescue to arrive, Tegan attempts to bridge a gap with Charlie over their mutual love for Brax. Meanwhile, Brax spots Darcy all alone in the bush and soon after finds the accident site as a grave Tegan is being put in an ambulance. Tegan is rushed to surgery and tragically dies but not before telling Brax she has revealed his relationship with Charlie to their mortal enemy, Hammer.
Friday episode 5380 - 09/09/11
In the wake of Tegan’s death, Charlie tries to provide comfort to Brax who in turns tries to support a grieving and shell shocked Heath. Charlie takes a walk with Bianca and whilst discussing Tegan’s final moments, she finally admits to her ongoing affair with Brax.
Liam, Roo and Elijah are helping clean up the Diner since Colleen claims she is too fragile post her near death experience the night before. When a woman enters the Diner in search of Irene, a pleasantly surprised Liam points her in the right direction. Irene prepares to leave for the Hospital and is thrown by the surprise arrival of Gypsy and Lily who have showed up to support her through her treatment. When Bianca arrives home to meet their house guests, she is shocked to learn Irene has been keeping her cancer diagnosis from her.
Liam runs into April at the Diner, who gives him a lecture about berating Bianca about Heath after the storm accident. April suggests that Liam does everyone a favour by giving Bianca the space she has asked for. Liam leaves a letter for Bianca with Gypsy, who delivers it to Bianca at the Hospital.
Hammer turns up at the Hospital and gives Brax a stern warning that the next time he sees him, both he and Charlie will be dead. When Brax spots Hammer’s car speeding through Summer Bay, he instantly takes off in search of Charlie. But Brax is too late, as a shot fired from Hammer’s car hits Charlie as she’s jogging, knocking her to the ground.
Hammer turns up at the Hospital and gives Brax a stern warning that the next time he sees him, both he and Charlie will be dead. When Brax spots Hammer’s car speeding through Summer Bay, he instantly takes off in search of Charlie. But Brax is too late, as a shot fired from Hammer’s car hits Charlie as she’s jogging, knocking her to the ground.
Brax is too late but Brax actually does knock charlie to the ground, well thats what it looks like in the episode, theres not even a second in it when the gunfires and brax knocks charlie to the ground, I think because brax knocks charlie to the ground is why she only gets shot in the arm
