I agree. I hate it when they make a lot of fuss over storylines but they aren't half as good as they say because the acting/script isn't up to scratch... The actors/actresses involved in this storyline are some of the best in Corrie IMO, so I have high hopes that it will be decent

Coronation Street's Carla Connor finally comes clean with fiancé Frank Foster later this month, telling him that she can't marry him.

Deciding that she definitely doesn't want to go through with the wedding, Carla has consultations with her solicitor and is advised to make the split as amicable as possible because Frank could make life very difficult when it comes to the business.

On the eve of the wedding, Carla finally goes through with her plan - blaming herself for the sorry mess but making it clear to Frank that the ceremony is off.

When Carla adds that a clean break would be for the best because she can't return his love, how will Frank react?

Carla's confession marks the beginning of a long journey ahead for the businesswoman as her tragic rape storyline with Frank begins.

Monday

It's the eve of the wedding and Carla now knows she has to get out of this. Meeting with her solicitor, Carla hears how Frank could make life very difficult for her and is advised to make the split as amicable as possible.

Full of anxious determination, Carla heads off to speak to Frank. Putting the blame firmly on herself, she reveals her doubts. As Carla tells Frank she can't marry him, how will he react?

Meanwhile, Steve's stressed as the two women in his life fight to bleed him dry - Becky through the divorce and Tracy with her demands for a flat. But when Lloyd accuses Tracy of being no better than Becky, will she soften?

As Frank struggles to get his head round what Carla is saying, she insists that a clean break is best as she can't return his love. It's a slap in the face for Frank, who storms out of the factory. Witnessing his anger, Peter heads inside where a bitter Carla reveals that she's called the wedding off because of him.

Back at the flat, Frank's waiting for Carla, having worked out why she's been seeing her solicitor. With his blood boiling, Frank refuses to walk away. Needing to get through to him, Carla admits her feelings for Peter. Losing it, Frank grabs her.

When we next see Carla, she's lying on the floor traumatised. Fighting her tears, she calls Maria, who races round. As she breaks down, Carla reveals the horrible truth about Frank…

Meanwhile, Tracy tells Steve that she's decided to stay at Number 1. Pretending it's a selfless decision, she claims that she doesn't want to put him under any more pressure. Will Steve be won over by her act?

Elsewhere, Sean tells Marcus that he's ending their relationship because they're too different, while Tina is shocked to realise that the girl she's been feuding with is Tyrone's new girlfriend.

Wednesday

With Maria by her side, Carla calls the police and accuses Frank of rape. A trained officer arrives to support Carla as she gives an initial account of the assault. However, as Carla's being guided through the process, a cheery Frank walks back into the flat and is seemingly bewildered by the police presence.

As Frank asks what's going on, Frank is stunned to be arrested on suspicion of rape. At the station, he continues to protest his innocence. As an emotionally drained Carla undergoes forensic tests, will Frank be held by the police?

Meanwhile, Peter arrives at the flat to check on Carla and is stunned to take in the scene. Reeling, he informs the police that he saw Frank earlier in an agitated state.

Back at home, a clearly distressed Peter tells Leanne what's happened. She's initially concerned but as she quizzes Peter on how he became involved, her suspicions about Peter and Carla return. Will he be able to allay her fears?

Thursday
As word spreads that the wedding is off and a shaky Carla returns to her flat, the police start their enquiries on the street. First it's the turn of the Alahans, who report that they served a cheery Frank last night. Next it's Peter, who's forced to deny Frank's allegations that he was having an affair with Carla. His anger building, Peter confronts Frank but as a furious fight spills out onto the street, it's Peter who ends up getting arrested.

At the same time, Leanne calls on Carla, where she can't help but question just how Peter's involved in this. Breaking down, Carla promises that Peter has done nothing wrong, but will it quell Leanne's suspicions?

Meanwhile, when Tyrone begs Tina to forget her feud with Kirsty, she's forced to agree. But when Rita finds a massive scratch down the side of her car, will Tina stick to her part of the deal?

Elsewhere, Gary tries to play matchmaker for Owen and Anna, while Dev's not happy when Sunita insists that he cancels his pricey golf membership.

Friday

The factory staff are stunned when Frank walks in claiming that false allegations have been made against him. Frank says that as far as he's concerned, it's business as usual. Heading out to see a client, he sends the girls on lunch. Unaware that Frank's back, Carla decides to return to work. But as she looks around the empty factory trying to hold it together, Frank walks in…

At the same time, Peter's spent the night in the cells and while he's released on bail, he's warned not to take the law into his own hands again. Peter is relieved to be home, but Leanne wants answers. Was it his feelings for Carla that made him attack Frank?

Meanwhile, Tina's gobsmacked when Kirsty starts asking questions about a smashed headlight on her car before laying her police badge on the table. Tina goes on the defensive, insisting that she never damaged the car, but a furious Tyrone urges Tina to apologise to Kirsty. Will Tina back down? And how will Tyrone react to the news that his new girlfriend is a PC?

Elsewhere, as a flustered Owen struggles under Anna's sink the stop c0ck breaks and the pair are covered in water, while Dev's stunned to discover that Aadi has an amazing natural flair for golf.

A terrified Carla is rooted to the spot as Frank tells her that this can all go away if she does the right thing and withdraws her accusation of rape. At the same time, Leanne is far from convinced by Peter's assurances about him and Carla. When Leanne asks whether there's anything he hasn't told her, he fails to admit his knowledge that Carla was driving the car that hit Stella.

Later, when Frank's re-arrested and calls out that this has all been cooked up by Carla and Peter who've been sleeping together for months, how will Leanne react?

Meanwhile, Owen's finally fixed the leak and Anna sends him up for a shower. But when he re-appears wearing only a bathrobe, the chemistry fizzles. Will Owen and Anna give in to their feelings?

Elsewhere, Tina feels forced to apologise to Kirsty, while Sunita's annoyed as Dev raves about Aadi the child prodigy!
