Coronation Street's Steve McDonald drops a bombshell on Tracy Barlow later this month as he declares that he wants nothing to do with their baby.

When Tracy finally returns home to Weatherfield following her time away in London, she tries to tell Steve that she's pregnant. However, he's too busy ranting at her for taking Amy away from him - making it clear that he hates her for what she did.

As Tracy realises that there's no hope for her and Steve, she tells Ken and Deirdre that she's going to have an abortion. However, Deirdre feels compelled to step into the situation - informing Steve that Tracy is expecting his child.

Steve initially suspects that Tracy has merely come up with another twisted lie, but when he realises that she's telling the truth, he vows that he won't let her use another child to manipulate him and refuses to be a father to this baby.

Angry, Tracy reveals that she's already planning an abortion and shows Steve a letter which proves it. Will Steve agree that a termination is the best way forward, or will he change his mind about the baby?

Monday 12 September 7.30pm

As Steve chats to Becky, it's clear that he's still harbouring feelings for her, but he's thrown when he spots Deirdre with Amy. Finding Tracy, he lays into her for stealing his daughter. Tracy tries to calm him by saying there's something he needs to know, but Steve refuses to listen - declaring that he hates her. Tracy's broken and with all hopes for her and Steve gone, she tells the Barlows she's going to have an abortion.

Tracy swears Deirdre to secrecy, but convinced it's a knee-jerk reaction to Steve's anger, Deirdre heads to the pub. Steve's upbeat having made plans with Becky to offer her a good settlement at the mediation meeting tomorrow, but when Deirdre drops the bombshell that Tracy's pregnant, how will he react?

Meanwhile, following the upset of leaving Dylan, Sean's looking forward to letting his hair down on his birthday. But when Marcus reveals that he's arranged for them to go to an adoption meeting, Sean's unimpressed. Despite his reservations, he agrees but as he enjoys a few birthday drinks in The Rovers, will Sean forget his promise?

Elsewhere, Frank heads to court while a hostile Karl insists they should throw away the key, while Kylie struggles to get her mobile nail business off the ground.

Monday 12 September 8.30 pm

As Steve reels, Deirdre pleads with him to speak to Tracy before it's too late. At first Steve refuses to believe it, accusing Tracy of lying. As she breaks down, though, her vulnerability finally convinces him that she's telling the truth.

However, this changes nothing for Steve - he won't let Tracy use another child to manipulate him and refuses to be a father to this baby. Thrusting her referral to the abortion clinic into his hands, she spits back that it's nothing more than she expected from him. Will Steve agree that an abortion is the way forward?

Meanwhile, Frank surprises Carla when he takes her back to the posh Cheshire home they lost out on a few weeks ago. The buyer has dropped out, so their offer has now been accepted. Frank's ecstatic, but is it what Carla really wants?

Elsewhere, a drunken Sean races off to the adoption meeting after losing track of time, while Kylie's more upbeat as her nail business starts to boom.

Thursday, 15 September 8.30pm

As Tracy heads to the abortion clinic, Deirdre is desperate to stop her. Feeling powerless, she turns to Steve - urging him to see that while Amy wasn't planned she's the best thing in his life. He was desperate for another child and now he's making Tracy get rid of one.

While Steve falters, Becky waits at the mediation meeting, heartened by how amicable her relationship with Steve has become. But as time ticks on, it looks like Steve isn't going to show. Steve's at the abortion clinic, but is he too late?

Meanwhile, as Frank's solicitor arrives with the mortgage forms, an anxious Carla comments that it feels very fast. Frank counters that time is of the essence - they'll be married this time next week. Is Carla starting to get cold feet?

Elsewhere, Sean promises to attend another adoption meeting but secretly tells Eileen that he's not sure it's what he really wants; Tina's thrilled when she passes her driving test and Rita offers her the use of her car; while Tommy considers whether to come clean about the bribe as Tyrone plans his date with Kirsty.

Friday, 16 September, 7.30pm

Becky's confused by Steve's no-show yesterday. Feeling sorry for Becky, Lloyd urges her to put Steve behind her and stand on her own two feet, offering her the flat above Streetcars as a starting point.

At the same time, with the baby now his priority, Steve tells Tracy that she needs a place of her own. But arriving at the cab office flat, he's stunned to find Becky inside. As a row breaks out between the women, Steve's caught in the middle. Who will he side with?

Meanwhile, as Frank asks the factory girls to plan a surprise hen do for Carla, she's making plans of her own. With her solicitor, Carla explains that she's in an awkward situation - if she splits up with fiancé and partner Frank, could he bring her business down? But before her solicitor can advise, Frank arrives home demanding to know what's going on…

Elsewhere, Sean hurts Eileen as he covers his true feelings; Tommy finally tells Tyrone that he paid Kirsty to chat him up; while an unknowing Tina boxes someone in with Rita's car.

Friday 16 September, 8.30pm

Becky reels, unable to understand why Steve is siding with Tracy. Biting the bullet, Steve reveals it's because she's carrying his child. As Steve tries to explain why he wants the baby, Becky's crushed and orders him out.

Later, after a chat with Hayley, Becky's steel returns. Storming round to the flat, she throws Tracy out - claiming that while she's still married to Steve it's her flat and she's going to bleed him dry. Arriving at the scene, will Steve be able to talk her round?

Meanwhile, Carla feels wretched as she's forced to play along with the surprise hen do, which includes a male stripper. Finally escaping, she's unnerved to find Frank still up with another surprise for her - luxury honeymoon tickets. Her panic rising, will Carla tell Frank that she can't go through with the wedding?

Elsewhere, Sean fears life as an adoptive dad, while Tyrone's date with Kirsty goes swimmingly and ends in a kiss.
