While each Housemate revealed their secret nominations to Big Brother, those unlucky enough to still be sitting on the sofas were treated to a one-woman comedy show from Makosi.

Despite getting no encouragement from her tough crowd, she ploughed on through non-existent punch lines and familiar 'jokes'.

As she began with a story about a coach load of passengers leaving Victoria, Maxwell interrupted. "Don't. It's the worst thing in the world. No. It's rubbish."

But Makosi had piqued Kemal's interest, so carried on to the story's disappointing end.

Perhaps as revenge, Maxwell asked Kemal to pick a number, and then got him to add, multiply and divide for no good reason at all. "God, I did the proper maths and everything," said Kemal, disappointed to find Maxwell was making it up as he went along.

"This one's guaranteed to make you laugh," said Makosi with alarming confidence. "This duck went into a pub and asked for some worms..."

"You've told us this four times," moaned Maxwell, with support from Roberto.

Undeterred, she asked the Housemates how you put a giraffe in the fridge. "I have no idea," said Derek, who could not have appeared less interested.

"You open the door and put in the giraffe. How do you put an elephant in the fridge?" Laugh? They nearly did. Especially when they heard that you took the giraffe out of the fridge to put the elephant in.

Comedy is hard. It's life that's easy.
