This just in from the official ITV Corrie website.
Frank Foster's parents - Anne and Johnny Foster - are set to arrive in Coronation Street. Their first appearance is on the 5th September when they arrive for Frank and Carla's engagement party at the Bistro.
Anne will be played by Gwen Taylor, fondly remembered from appearing in the classic ITV comedy Duty Free, and more recently as dishonest Peggy Armstrong in Heartbeat. Joining her as Johnny is Paul Clayton - who previously appeared in Corrie as Mal Quillan in 2005. Paul is well known for a number of television roles and, as Mr Bartle, met a nasty end at the hands of the Ood in Doctor Who.

FONT="Garamond"]This is really good casting, Paul Clayton does look like an older version of Frank, and Gwen Taylor is a lovely actress, I hope they portray her as a good sort, genuine mother who loves her family, could be a very interesting new addition![/FONT]
Yes, they are new arrivals :)
CARLA Connor's life will be left in ruins after her twisted ex-fiancé Frank Foster sends in his MUM to sabotage her business.
Frank cooks up the plan in revenge after factory boss Carla reveals to cops that he raped her.
He is banned from going near his victim - so he appoints mother Anne to act on his behalf at the workplace he co-owns.
Anne then sets about weasling her way into unsuspecting Carla's heart - as Frank pulls the strings to bring her down.
Eventually one morning Anne turns up with heavies who set about stripping the factory of half of everything - including sewing machines and stock.
Workers try to stop the men while frantic Carla rings a lawyer. But she is told that Frank is within his rights to remove goods representing his share of the business.
Distraught Carla has no option but to send staff home, leaving big orders unfinished and her facing financial ruin. As TV Biz reported this month, Anne - who joins the ITV1 soap next month - is to be played by Gwen Taylor, 72.
Gwen has starred in dramas including Heartbeat, Midsomer Murders and Inspector Morse but is probably best known as Amy Pearce in 1980s cult series Duty Free.
A Corrie insider said: "Despite raping Carla, Frank believes he has done nothing wrong and is determined to get his revenge on her for reporting him.
"He wants to put pressure on her to drop the charges and will offer to return the machinery in exchange for doing so.
"Anne is the sort of mother that will protect her son no matter what - and viewers will absolutely hate her."

NEW Corrie star Gwen Taylor films her first scenes as evil rapist Frank Foster's mum Ann yesterday.
The actress, famous as Aunty Peggy in Heartbeat, will make her screen debut at the end of next month.
She will arrive to look after Frank's interests in the knicker factory after Carla reports him for rape.
Coronation Street star Andrew Lancel has predicted that it will be "interesting" for viewers to see Frank Foster's relationship with mum Anne explored in more depth in the coming days.
The actor's evil character manages to win his appeal for bail in tonight's double bill of the soap, before focusing his attention on reasserting his control at the Underworld factory.
Determined to put pressure on ex-fiancée Carla Connor (Alison King) so that she withdraws her accusation of rape, Frank recruits Anne (Gwen Taylor) to act on his behalf at the business and make Carla's life a misery.
Lancel told Hot TV of the latest storyline twists: "Frank has told Anne that he didn't [rape Carla] and she believes him. She has to - she is his mother.
"It will be interesting to watch his relationship with his mother to see if it gives any clues as to what has made him the man he is today."
Discussing Frank's motivations, he continued: "It isn't so much revenge as clearing his name. He knows that if he sticks to his story about being framed by Carla, it is going to look more feasible if he keeps his business interests going and has his mum around keeping an eye on things and being seen to support him.
"He does still love Carla but it is a weird kind of love. He is very controlling and is in total denial about what he has done. He even thinks she made him do it and if she dropped the charges he would think he was forgiving her if he had her back."
Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.
