Becky could do better than Nick
Coronation Street, ladies' man Tommy Duckworth believes that it's his lucky day when he hears that Tina McIntyre will be living under his roof.
When Dev decides that he wants Amber to move into the flat above the shop, he shows little regard for Tina and throws her out of her home.
With nowhere else to go, Tina finds herself accepting a room at Tyrone's and the pair share the news with Tommy. Thrilled by the development, Tommy believes that his best chance of wooing Tina has finally arrived.
However, when Tommy agrees to let Tina cook for him but cheekily agrees to a meal with Amber behind her back, it looks like he's playing with fire. Will Tommy blow his chances with Tina by trying to charm two women?
1st August
When Kylie's cagey about an official-sounding call, a suspicious Gail dials 1471. Discovering it was social services, she tells David there's something going on that Kylie doesn't want him to know about.
Calling social services himself, David is stunned to hear they've been trying to contact her about plans to put Max up for adoption, which will be decided at a hearing tomorrow. An angry David then confronts Kylie…
Meanwhile, Amber's been out all night clubbing with Tommy, which doesn't go unnoticed by Sunita. Amber urges her not to tell Dev and she agrees. However, when Amber shows up late for her shift at the shop, will Sunita still keep quiet?
Elsewhere, Audrey invites Marc to move in temporarily after a burst main causes a flood at his house; Nick offers a despondent Becky an interview for a job at the Bistro; while Steve desperately tries to track down Tracy.
David can't believe Kylie's so heartless as to not want her own child. But seeing through her front, Gail pushes for the truth and an emotional Kylie admits she loves Max but she's only ever let him down.
Finding herself comforting Kylie, Gail argues that her circumstances have changed - she has a home and a husband to support her. Will Kylie change her mind about giving Max up?
Meanwhile, Amber's keen for her dad to know she didn't sleep with Tommy and just stayed out late, so she drags him back to the Alahans' to explain. Dev's still unimpressed and imposes a curfew, claiming that if she doesn't like it she can go back to university. However, petulant Amber stuns Dev with some news of her own.
Elsewhere, Nick offers a flirtatious but professional Becky a waitressing job at the Bistro, while Chris is awkward as Maria and Cheryl grow friendlier.
4th August
As David and Kylie head to the hearing, Becky starts work at the Bistro. She thanks Nick, who is sure she'll vindicate his decision. But when David and Kylie arrive to celebrate, claiming they've got a good chance of getting custody of Max, Becky reels. Pushed to the limit by Kylie, will Becky keep her cool?
Later, Nick's supportive of Becky and as they share a night cap, they compare notes on their lost loves, realising they're like peas in a pod. Nick then moves in for a kiss…
Meanwhile, when Dev hits on the idea of moving Amber into the shop flat, he's unscrupulous as he forces Tina out. With nowhere to go, Tina finds herself accepting a room at Tyrone's. Arriving home as she moves in, Tommy can't believe his luck!
Elsewhere, Audrey debates handing more control of the salon over to Kylie and David so she can enjoy time with Marc; there's tension between Leanne and Stella at Cheryl's housewarming party; while Maria rows with Chris at the celebration after he gets bolshy and starts behaving strangely.
5th August
Becky causes a stir when she comes down for breakfast at the Platts', having spent the night with Nick. Gail can't believe he's interested in a girl like Becky, but Nick insists they're two lost souls who've made a connection.
Steve's also gobsmacked but insists he too is seeing someone new. Desperate to prove two can play at this game, he dusts off his old contacts book and arranges a date with old flame Beth. Will Beth prove to be everything that Steve is looking for?
Meanwhile, when Chris takes the morning off work without permission to spend time with Russ, Owen is furious. Maria's noted he's behaving strangely but can't put her finger on what's wrong. Is Chris hiding something?
Elsewhere, Tommy agrees to a meal with Amber but also agrees to let Tina cook for him; while Audrey prepares to hand more of the running of the salon to David, but will he agree to go on a management training course?
As Becky and Steve row over Beth, Nick's had enough and orders them out. Alone with Becky, he insists he can't have her blowing up at customers and tells her to go and cool down. Will Becky be able to convince him he is who she wants, or is their relationship doomed from the start?
Meanwhile, when Chris forgets to pick Liam up from nursery, Maria's furious. She accuses him of having second thoughts about their relationship, but is there more to it?
Elsewhere, keen to get Audrey on side, Kylie advises David not to tell her about some of their more creative visions yet while they first present her with what they know will impress her. Will Audrey approve of David's business plan?
Also, as Tommy turns on the charm, Tina's warming to him. But just as they're about to kiss, Amber bursts in. How will Tommy talk his way out of this one?

Actress Lisa George will turn up in Coronation Street on Friday 5th August as Steve McDonald's nightmare date, Beth.
Eagle-eyed Corrie fans might recognise Lisa's face as it's not the first time she's been acting on the cobbles. It's her fourth stint on the soap as a different character.
In 2007 she played a character called Jacqui, in 2005 she played WPC Stonall/Family Liaison Officer for 5 episodes, and in 1997 she played Nurse Brampton.
