Coronation Street's Izzy Armstrong lies unconscious after becoming the victim of a mugging.

When Gary wades into a row between the fiercely independent factory worker and Sally Webster, the couple end up rowing. Lying that she is spending the night with sister Katy, Izzy plans a night out with Sean and Julie.

However, when targeted by a thief, Izzy falls from her wheelchair. As she lies unconscious, a panicked Sean and Julie rush to their friends aid.

How will Gary react when he discovers what has happened?

18th July

As Peter admits that he needs to think before trying for another baby, Leanne is devastated. All over the place, she insists their marriage isn't going to work and orders Peter out. Later, it's Stella who's there to pick up the pieces for Leanne, while back on the street, Peter turns to Carla.

Feeling awful about the things he said to Leanne, Peter questions what sort of man he is. Insisting she still loves him, Carla goes to kiss Peter. Will he respond?

Meanwhile, hearing that Jerry's dropped the price of the house then accepted an offer, Anna prepares to tell Faye they're moving. But as she struggles to find the words, Owen arrives and floors her with some news of his own.

Elsewhere, Sean feels marginalised over the photoshoot, while Kevin reveals that the police have found Rob and Janet - will James be exposed?

As Peter comes to his senses and pulls away from Carla, he feels awful about what he's done. Carla accepts it was bad timing but assures Peter she's there for him when he's ready.

Later, a shellshocked Peter's alone at the flat when Ken confronts him about the rift in his marriage. As he urges him not to give up, Peter's uncertainty sets alarm bells off for Ken, who asks if there's another woman. Without preaching, Ken advises his son to think carefully. Deep in thought, Peter arrives at Underworld before heading to the hospital with news for Carla and Leanne.

Meanwhile, when Kevin confronts James, telling him the police have caught up with Rob and Janet, he's rattled. Back at the Barlows', he reveals he's leaving in the morning as it's clear Tracy doesn't want him there, but will Ken accept this?

Elsewhere, Anna is thrilled over the revelation that Owen is her new landlord; Gary tells Izzy he has a surprise for her; while the photographer refuses to replace Marcus with Sean.

21st July

Playing the martyr in front of Tracy, James is keen to get away, but Ken insists on a family breakfast first. Covering his anxiety, James obliges but when Sophie and Sian arrive to talk about the arrests, Ken's intrigued, having been told nothing about this.

As he questions his grandson, Ken becomes uneasy and when James goes to call a cab, he searches his bag. Finding a letter approving a £50,000 loan against the house, Ken confronts James. Cornered, how will James react and will he makes his escape?

Meanwhile, Izzy's gobsmacked as Gary reveals his surprise - he's got a job at the factory so they can spend more time together. Feeling suffocated, how will Izzy react?

Elsewhere, Peter hopes he's made the right decision, while Tracy starts to move in on Steve.

22nd July

When Izzy and Sally bicker at work, Gary wades in. Fiercely independent, Izzy is furious and having had enough of Gary, she arranges a night out with Julie and Sean, before concocting a story for Gary about spending the night with Katy.

However, when Izzy falls victim to a bag snatch, the consequences of her lie suddenly become more serious.

Meanwhile, as Ken nurses his injuries, it becomes clear he's deeply humiliated after standing by James. Unsure of how Kevin will react, Ken prepares to break the news himself.

Elsewhere, Gail unwittingly remarks that it's great to see Audrey dating a man who doesn't have secrets, while Steve fields some flirtatious banter from Tracy after doing himself an injury in the fathers' sack race at Amy's sports day.

Having found Izzy isn't at Katy's, Gary's panic is rising. When he gets a call from Sean explaining she's in hospital, he reaches fever pitch. Izzy's okay and apologises to Gary for lying.

Agitated, Gary's keen to get home - claiming he's never going to let her come into danger again. Izzy's touched, but as Gary storms to the pub and thumps Sean, it's clear he's a man on the edge.

Meanwhile, Ken is shamefaced as he admits to the Websters that James was part of the charity scam after all. Appalled, how will Kevin react when faced with the truth?

Elsewhere, Stella spots a spark between Steve and Tracy, while Marc offers to give up Marcia for Audrey.

Coronation Street star William Roache had to fight with his real life son James in upcoming scenes for the soap.

The actor, who plays Ken Barlow, was offered a stuntman for the scenes, but declined on the basis that he wanted the scenes to be as realistic as possible. Stunt coordinator Richard Hammatt supervised the fight.

The altercation occurs on Thursday, when Ken discovers that grandson James - played by James - has taken out loans against his home. As he tries to call the police, James hits him, leaving Ken semi-conscious on the floor.

"If you are going to do a fight you've got to go for it," he told The People. "And if James is pulling me back it makes it better if I fight back properly - you get a much more *realistic scene.

"And so he really did grapple with me. In fact I actually told him to go in harder and be a bit rougher with me. I can't bear fight scenes where *people hold back.

"I may be 79, but what's an age? It's how you feel that counts. I'm still fit. The stunt coordinator made it very safe. There was padding in the area where I was going to be thrown and I was falling onto boxes covered in rubber *matting, so I had no worries about *throwing myself into it completely."

James added: "I was shocked when I first heard about the storyline. The fact that you are being very *antagonistic to your own father does make you feel a bit uncomfortable."
