Kimberley Walsh has spoken of the "good news" regarding her younger sister's upcoming role in Hollyoaks Later.
Amy Walsh, the younger sister of the Girls Aloud star, will appear in the soap as Jennifique, a cousin of the McQueen sisters.
The singer wrote in her OK magazine column: "Some good news! My sister Amy has landed a part in Hollyoaks - she's coming in as the cousin of Mercedes Fisher, played by Jennifer Metcalfe.
"It sounds like a great part and her first scenes air in September so watch out for her!"
Walsh will first appear in the E4 spinoff series in the autumn, but it is currently unknown if she will make the switch to the main soap on Channel 4.
