Several Coronation Street characters will apparently find love over the summer.
Eileen (Sue Cleaver) will fall for a firefighter called Paul, who is yet to be cast. Son Jason (Ryan Thomas) will reportedly be embarrassed by the romance, and "flippant" Paul won't get along with everyone, The People reports.
Audrey (Sue Nicholls) will finally get together with cross-dressing friend Marc Selby (Andrew Hall) after the pair become tipsy at her 71st birthday party.
Meanwhile, Rita (Barbara Knox) will start a relationship with the recently returned Dennis Tanner (Phillip Lowrie), and the pair plan to marry. Roy's mum Sylvia Goodwin (Stephanie Cole) will compete for Dennis's affections.
Newcomer Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) - Michelle Collins's on-screen daughter - flirts with Steve McDonald and Gary Windass before getting involved with new boss Nick (Ben Price).
Finally, Dev's daughter Amber (Nikki Patel) will get with Tommy Duckworth (Chris Fountain) after being expelled from university. However, Tommy is using Amber for Dev's money.
"Everyone loves a good romance. Producers saw the popularity of the royal wedding so are giving the public what they want on the street as well," a source said.
"We are expecting at least 14 characters to find love over the summer; some with disastrous consequences and others with happier endings."

Dev's daughter , what happened to the story that she was getting together with Sophie when Sian leaves ? was also rumoured that the bar managers daughter was supposed to be gay too.

I hope she gets back with David sorry I know not everyone's favourite couple but I think they worked so well together and had great chemistry and I cant stand Kylie
Coronation Street's Tyrone Dobbs will get a new love interest in the coming weeks, it has been announced.
Show producer Phil Collinson told This Morning today that Tyrone (Alan Halsall) is to fall for a new character named Kirsty, who will arrive on screen later in the summer.
Tyrone was left heartbroken late last year when he discovered that wife Molly had cheated on him and that baby Jack was not his. After Molly died in the tram crash disaster, Tyrone learned that best friend Kevin Webster had been her secret lover.
However, Collinson said today: "A big storyline across the summer and into the autumn is Tyrone meeting somebody who's hopefully going to help him move on from Molly and everything that happened.
"A brand new character is going to come in - she's called Kirsty. I have to say, it's not all going to be a smooth ride for Tyrone - he's got a lot of baggage and he's got a lot that he's got to get over. It's a big story for him over the summer."
Collinson also confirmed that there is love on the horizon for Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver), as first revealed last weekend.
"Eileen's going to have a nice big romance with a fireman," he said. "But he's got a bit of a secret - it's the best tradition of soap! It's not going to be easy."
Coronation Street has been tipped to air a 'Summer of Love' over the coming weeks as a number of characters feature in romantic storylines.

Coronation Street bosses have decided to bring back former Hollyoaks star Tony Hirst as Weatherfield firefighter Paul, it has been confirmed today.
Inside Soap reports that the actor, best known for playing Chester's Mike Barnes, will be the fireman who Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) falls for as part of the Street's "summer of love".
Hirst previously appeared in Coronation Street's 50th anniversary episodes late last year as Paul was among the rescue team who dealt with the tram crash disaster on the cobbles.
Ryan Thomas, who plays Eileen's son Jason, told the magazine: "I'm guessing Jason's not going to like this guy, as he never likes any of the men his mum dates!
"We've really been missing the older male figure in the Grimshaw family set-up, so I'm over the moon that Tony's going to be joining the show. He was amazing in the live episode and he's a top guy."
During a recent interview on This Morning, Coronation Street's producer Phil Collinson confirmed that it won't be plain sailing for Eileen and her new man.
Collinson said at the time: "Eileen's going to have a nice big romance with a fireman. But he's got a bit of a secret - it's the best tradition of soap! It's not going to be easy."

Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver has admitted that her character Eileen Grimshaw will fear having her heart broken when her new romance storyline begins.
Eileen is about to start dating Weatherfield firefighter Paul, who was last seen on the cobbles in last year's tram crash episodes. Paul rescues the factory worker when she gets her head stuck in some railings on the roof of Underworld.
Paul, played by former Hollyoaks actor Tony Hirst, quickly takes a shine to Eileen and starts pursuing her, leading to a date at the Bistro.
Cleaver told Soaplife: "Eileen's over the moon. She's excited and hoping it will work. She sees it as her last-ditch attempt at having a lovely relationship."
However, asked whether Eileen also fears Paul is too good to be true, the actress replied: "I think so. She's always waiting for something to go wrong and he seems like everything she could possibly want, so she thinks there's a catch.
"But she's never known anybody quite so caring, so she is falling for him. She's taking a chance and really going for it."
