Oh no - not Aaron! My hubby and I talked about this when we watched the episode and we thought both Aaron and Hazel would be charged at the very least but I was hoping Hazel would protect Aaron and take the blame herself (then hopefully top herself too) :(

Hazel is the one who is leaving, not Aaron.

It looks as if Aaron is charged with murder as he did help Jackson with the drink. If it's filmed on the laptop he's toast. If they change there story and Hazel takes the rap for giving Jackson the drink that could lead to Hazel leaving the show as her character has to be found guilty of murder.

Coming up on Emmerdale, Mia starts to suspect that her mother is having an affair and hints at her gut feeling in a candid discussion with Declan, warning that Ella will find someone else if he doesn't start paying her more attention. Mia's words have a big effect on Declan and it's not long before he's also convinced that Ella has another man.

Unaware that her partner is edging closer to the truth, Ella books a hotel room for herself and Adam, before telling Declan that she's off out for a meeting with her salon manager.

Becoming more suspicious by the minute, Declan secretly scrolls through Ella's phone and is shocked to discover that the last number she phoned was for a hotel.

Later, when Ella arrives at the hotel ready for another afternoon of passion with Adam, she's stunned to see that Declan is waiting for her there. Covering quickly, Ella claims that the hotel bar is where she's having her business meeting.

As Declan and Ella are in mid-row, Adam turns up and is forced to hide when he spots that his secret lover isn't alone. Will he make an escape without Declan spotting him?

20th

Adam's tempted when Ella tells him that she's booked them a hotel room. Soon afterwards, Ella's pleased when Declan flirts with her, but tells him that she's heading out to meet her salon manager. When she goes to get her coat, Declan scrolls through her phone to find the last number she dialled.
Later, Ella arrives at the hotel bar and is alarmed to find Declan waiting for her. Covering that she's meeting the salon manager to reprimand him, she's anxious when Declan offers to wait with her.

Adam arrives as Ella and Declan are mid-row and manages to avoid being seen by ducking behind a wall. As Adam makes his escape, Declan's uncertain over what to believe when Ella promises him there isn't anyone else.

Meanwhile, after Paddy spent the night in the spare room, Rhona realises that he's left for work early to avoid her. Later, Rhona's irked when she hears that Paddy and Chas have had another heart-to-heart. Bumping into Paddy, Rhona encourages him to open up to her if he needs to. However, their conversation soon descends into another argument. Marlon reminds Paddy what he risked to be with Rhona, pointing out that he doesn't deserve her if he's going to give up at the first hurdle.

Elsewhere, Amy is annoyed when Leyla gives Hannah her old job at the shop, while Alicia tells Andy that she feels like she's in the way at Farrers.

21st

Mia's concerned when another argument breaks out over breakfast between Declan and Ella. Later, in the pub, Adam tells Ella that he's not interested in seeing her again, but she furiously insists that he's not allowed to tell her what to do. Declan is about to invite Ella to lunch, but their conversation descends into another fight when she reveals that she has made plans with the salon manager.

As the day continues, Ella meets Adam by the side of the road and he reminds her how much they both have to lose if they continue their affair. Ella finally agrees to end it, but warns him to dump Mia too - she doesn't want her daughter to be in a relationship with a cheat…

Meanwhile, Hazel tells Aaron that the police are releasing Jackson's body and Aaron suggests they arrange the funeral for Friday. Later, Ashley visits Hazel with a list of vicars for the service. Aaron suggests Hazel finds an apt photo of Jackson while he rings around the vicars.

Elsewhere, Rhona and Paddy's relationship goes from bad to worse when Paddy decides to spend time with Aaron rather than her; Laurel sees that Marlon's been doing Rhona's washing and warns him that he's setting himself up to get hurt; and Debbie is anxious as Cameron's children are about to pay a visit.

22nd

Paddy brings Rhona a cup of tea in bed and isn't happy to find a fully clothed Marlon sleeping with his arm over Rhona. Sensing the tension, Marlon makes an excuse to leave. Paddy refuses Rhona's offer of breakfast, annoyed that she's giving him a hard time about wanting to spend time with Aaron. Soon afterwards, Chas confronts Rhona in the café, telling her to get over herself and pointing out that Paddy's only trying to keep everyone happy.

Later, Marlon's worried that Rhona's going to do something rash when she tells him that things have to change. He then urges Paddy to set things right with Rhona after she tells them that she's going to her mother's for a while. Rhona packs up her car and gives Paddy a goodbye kiss on the cheek, avoiding his question about how long she's going to be away.

Meanwhile, dissatisfied with Hazel's choice of photo of Jackson for the funeral, Aaron tells her that he'll find a better one. As he goes through photos with Adam, he pretends that he hasn't thought about having to go to the police station tomorrow. Aaron shows Hazel his chosen photo, hiding his fear about tomorrow.

Elsewhere, Mia's stunned when Adam breaks up with her, and Chas chooses to spend time with Aaron rather than Nikhil.

23rd

After meeting with the vicar to talk over the funeral arrangements, Hazel assures Aaron that he doesn't have to attend the funeral if he thinks it'll be too hard. However, Aaron irritably assures her that he'll be there.

At the station, Hazel's led into an interview room and braces herself for questioning. Paddy and Chas are optimistic for Aaron when Hazel's released without a charge. However, Aaron's stunned when he's charged with murder…

Meanwhile, Debbie's making breakfast when she gets sharp stomach pains and realises she's bleeding. Charity spots Debbie limping to her car and insists on driving her to the doctors', assuring her that everything will be okay. Returning from the hospital, Debbie tries to hide her true devastation about losing the baby from Charity.

Later, Debbie tries to be strong, thinking about Cameron heading over with Dylan and Harry. When he arrives with his sons, who immediately start acting up, Debbie gets choked and is unable to tell Cameron about losing the baby.

Elsewhere, Pollard secretly makes an offer on the barn, while Laurel visits Marlon in the pub and comforts him about missing Leo.

Cameron's uneasy when Charity pointedly tells Debbie to call her if she needs anything and he doesn't believe her when she asserts nothing's wrong. In the pub, Cain asks Charity what was going on earlier between her and Debbie, and he's devastated when she reveals that Debbie had a miscarriage.

In Tug Ghyll, Debbie panics when Cameron's about to tell the boys that she's pregnant and gets him to send them to bed. She breaks the news to Cameron, but they both cover their true feelings by saying that perhaps it might be for the best.

Meanwhile, Aaron's solicitor takes him through what to expect at the bail hearing, but he's distracted and can only think about the fact he's going to miss the funeral. At the same time, Chas turns on Hazel when she learns Aaron's been charged and demands that she leave, insisting she'll be the one to stay with her son.

Back at Victoria, Paddy comforts Chas ,who fears this may all be too much for Aaron. Hazel's devastated by Aaron's charge, while Aaron cries tears of grief and fear in his cell overnight.

Elsewhere, Jai agrees on a price for the barn with Pollard, who is still keeping his decision a secret from Val; Edna decorates the church for the funeral; Laurel grows concerned for Ashley; and Marlon turns down an invite to visit Rhona and the baby.

24th

As Aaron waits to be called into the hearing, he phones Chas and Paddy and tells them that he wants them to attend the funeral rather than see him in court. Chas tells Paddy that she's going to do exactly what Aaron asks of her this time. Later, as the congregation starts to gather outside the church, Hazel is upset that Aaron can't be there and asks Joe to take his place as a pallbearer. Jerry arrives with the hearse, furious with Hazel and glad that Aaron is unable to come.

The reverend plays Jackson's message to the congregation, exonerating Hazel and Aaron and asking people to understand that they helped him out of love. Hazel's grief overwhelms her as the coffin is lowered, while Jerry walks away.

In the pub afterwards, Hazel defends herself to Jerry, Steve and Annie, while Chas tells Paddy that Aaron's been released on bail. Later, Chas is relieved to find Aaron sat beside Jackson's grave with a beer, but despairs when he tells her that he wants to be alone.

Meanwhile, Debbie assures Cain that she's okay following the miscarriage. She's grateful when he tells her that he'll arrange to go away for a couple of weeks to give her and Cameron some time alone. Trying to make peace over dinner, Cameron's at a loss over how to behave with Debbie, unsure of what she wants.

Elsewhere, Pollard's amused when Val and Amy insist on doing his dinner preparation for him in an attempt to persuade him to buy the barn.

Emmerdale star Dominic Power has spoken of the baby tragedy which hits Cameron and Debbie in next week's episodes, revealing that his character is "devastated" by the traumatic turn of events.

Next week's Thursday night double bill of the soap sees Debbie suffer a miscarriage before later breaking the sad news to Cameron.

The couple's heartbreaking time comes just as Cameron has brought his sons to stay in the village for a few days.

"Cameron is about to tell the boys that Debbie's pregnant, so she feels she has to stop him. She sends the boys to bed and tells him the truth," Power told Inside Soap. "Inside, Cameron is devastated but he tries to be as sensitive as possible for Debbie's sake. He doesn't want her to feel any worse than she already does."

He continued: "They both cover up their true feelings, despite being incredibly upset. Cameron is very aware of how difficult Debbie is finding this, so he wants to help her to feel better. Meanwhile, Debbie is trying to do the same for him."

Power also predicted that the couple will eventually be able to move on from their loss and stay strong.

"It's going to be a strain, of course it is - and Debbie and Cameron have quite a volatile relationship most of the time. They face a tough future until everything blows over," he said. "But it's down to Cameron to keep himself in check and try to be more sensitive."

Debbie's troubles are expected to be far from over as Emmerdale bosses have tipped her for a big storyline which will run "for this year and through into next".

I like Rhona. I thing her complaing is due to Paddys lack of interest and a severe case of PND

Hello alan45
I must disagree, but then everyone is entitled to a point of view.
I didn't like her before the baby storyline.
She has one of the most irritating voices ever.
The sooner it is Bye Bye Rhona "THE MOANER" the better.

Emmerdale's grief-stricken mum Hazel Rhodes receives good news as she hears that she won't face charges over Jackson's death in Thursday night's double bill of the soap.

At the police station, Hazel is informed that there would be no public interest in taking her case to court, leaving her free to concentrate on Jackson's funeral and rebuilding her life.

When Hazel shares the news with Chas and Paddy, they're optimistic that Aaron will be shown the same leniency.

Meanwhile, heading into an interview room, Aaron is about to hear his own fate…

Emmerdale airs these scenes tomorrow night at 7pm on ITV1.

I bet Hazel says that it was her that gave her son the posion and not Aaron.
He has been through enough and she cannot let him rot in prison.
THEN.......
The CPS decide that it is not in the public interest to prosecute, given the recent cases surounding "The Right to Die",
The CPS cannot be certain of a conviction in front of a Jury, and taxpayers money would not be best spent prosecuting
when "The Right to Die" is being debated and could be made Legal in the near future.
So Hazel is released with a Police Caution
The End

Emmerdale's troubled Aaron Livesy faces his worst nightmare as he is charged with murder in tonight's double bill of the soap.

As Aaron and Hazel attend the police station to hear their fates, there's relief all round as Hazel is released without charge because the authorities believe there would be no public interest in bringing her case to court.

However, it soon becomes clear that the Crown Prosecution Service thinks very differently about Aaron as he was the one who helped Jackson to drink the lethal concoction of drugs.

As Aaron is told that he's being charged, Chas and Paddy are left stunned and furious over the development.

Later, as he's being held in his cell overnight, Aaron is terrified and grief-stricken - knowing he'll miss Jackson's funeral as his bail hearing is tomorrow...

Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm and 8pm on ITV1.

THE villagers bid an emotional farewell to Jackson Walsh tonight.

His assisted suicide rocked Emmerdale but the locals put their opinions aside as they step out for his funeral.

But the lad (Marc Silcock, 22) has the last laugh when he appears via a video message.

He says: “Surprise! Bet you didn’t expect to see me today.

“People wonder what it’s like to be at your own funeral. I have no idea because I’m not there. I’m in that box over there.”

Emmerdale airs an emotional episode this evening as the day of Jackson's funeral arrives.

With Aaron caught up at his bail hearing, Hazel and the rest of Jackson's loved ones go ahead with the service in his absence - and Jerry can't hide his grim satisfaction that the mechanic isn't attending.

As the ceremony gets under way, a recorded video message from Jackson is played to the congregation, during which he explains why he wanted to end his life and urges everyone to understand Hazel and Aaron's decision to help him.

Watching Jackson's message proves too much for Hazel and she breaks down as her grief overwhelms her. But will Jackson's words have the desired impact on the villagers?
