Coming up on Hollyoaks, fan favourite Jacqui has an eventful few days in store later this month after her loved ones discover that she has returned to Chester secretly.

While volunteering at the hospital, Carmel bumps into Jacqui and when the pair go home together, Myra is annoyed to hear that her daughter didn't tell the family she was back.

Jacqui soon shares some surprising news with everyone as she reveals that she's agreed to be a kidney donor for Billy's daughter Emily, giving into her father's request at last. The next day, Jacqui and Emily share a tense wait for news from the hospital - will Jacqui be a match?

As well as the drama with her real dad and Emily, Jacqui must also make a decision about her future with Rhys.

Following heart-to-hearts with Tony and Myra, Jacqui makes her choice - heading round to Rhys's flat and asking him to marry her! What will Rhys say?

3081: Jacqui's return causes a stir

Myra is annoyed with Jacqui for not telling the family she was back. Jacqui further shocks her family when she reveals that she's going to be a kidney donor to Billy's daughter Emily.

At the same time, Rhys is left devastated after a run-in with Jacqui and decides to cry on Darren's shoulder.

Meanwhile, it's Bart's 16th birthday and Sinead treats him to an expensive watch. He's reluctant to take his girlfriend home and tries to play it cool, but at the McQueens', Sinead dumps him when she overhears him telling Carmel that she's not the one.

Elsewhere, Dodger childishly tries to help Will score a second date with Theresa, much to their embarrassment.

3082: Jacqui waits for news from the hospital
Airs on Tuesday, May 17 2011 18:30 BST on Channel 4

Jacqui turns to old flame Tony for advice. He convinces her not to give up on Rhys, while he makes a bold decision of his own after he receives a 'Dear John' letter from Gabby. Later, Jacqui and Emily form a sisterly bond while waiting for news from the hospital to see if Jacqui is a match.

Meanwhile, Rhys and Darren awake from their drunken slumber to the realisation that they may have gone too far last night. As Rhys's memory comes flooding back, it's clear that he may have declared his love for Jacqui a little too much!

Elsewhere, Liberty's plan backfires when she uses Dodger to try and set Will and Theresa up. His flirting only infuriates Will, so it's back to the drawing board for the cupid-playing Savages!

Also today, Jason, Bart and Ricky team up to save money for a scooter.


3083: Jacqui proposes to Rhys

Myra's deep and meaningful advice influences Jacqui's decision about Rhys. Determined, she heads round to his and shocks him with a marriage proposal.

Meanwhile, after Gabby's letter, Tony decides to go travelling. Before he leaves, he decides to pay Mandy a visit. He openly admits his feelings for her and outright asks her if there's anything worth returning for. What will Mandy say?

Elsewhere, in a bid to get their scooter, Bart and Ricky decide to gamble their cash away on the pub fruit machine. However, they lose everything. Soon afterwards, Myra strikes lucky as the fruit machine starts dishing out the cash and the boys look on horrified.

Also today, Liberty and Dodger step up their matchmaking game and send an unknowing Theresa and Will on a coach to a concert.

3084: Will gets violent with Ethan
Airs on Thursday, May 19 2011 18:30 BST on Channel 4

Will and Theresa turn up at the hotel to find they're sharing a room. Their awkwardness turns to friendly banter as Will offers to get them some food. Theresa realises she may have feelings for the bashful geek and is excited when there's a knock at the door. However, she's shocked to find Ethan at the door with a bunch of flowers.

Confusion ensues as Will returns with the wrong idea. Ethan thought Liberty had come to the concert, but Will thinks he's come to see Theresa. Will refuses to listen and swiftly punches Ethan in the face!

Meanwhile, Jacqui starts to panic when Myra and Carmel get all giddy about the impromptu wedding. She rushes out for a last-minute chat with Rhys. Will he convince her they're doing the right thing, or will they fail to turn up to their own wedding?

Elsewhere, Bart and the lads get their hands on a scooter only to find out they can't drive it yet. Later, Jason's annoyed when Bart's ploy to get Sinead back succeeds.


3085: Brendan causes more trouble
Airs on Friday, May 20 2011 18:30 BST on Channel 4

Ste and Noah make plans for the evening, but Brendan scuppers them when he calls Ste into work.

Bored of Brendan's demands, Ste stands up to him - but will he live to regret the confrontation when Brendan pays a visit to Noah at Cinergy the next morning?

Meanwhile, Jacqui realises she has a long way to go after the trial, but will she let Rhys stand by her?

Elsewhere, Theresa battles her feelings for Ethan and Will. Who will she choose?

Also today, Tony leaves to go travelling.

Hollyoaks guest star Elizabeth Henstridge has revealed that she is keen to reprise her role as Emily Alexander on the soap.

Last week, fans saw Emily depart the village after discovering that half-sister Jacqui McQueen (Claire Cooper) could not provide her with a kidney transplant because she was not a match. Jacqui, meanwhile, was left devastated as she realised that her sibling wanted nothing more to do with her.

In an interview with The Star, Henstridge confirmed that she would like show bosses to revisit the character of Emily in the future.

She commented: "What's good is they seemed quite positive about the role and I'd love to go back, so I'm hoping the character worked and maybe they'll want me again.

"It was so much fun on set. I was a little intimidated because you're looking at some of the older characters and thinking, 'I used to watch you when I was at school. You've been in my living room and not even known it', but everyone's so friendly, they put you at ease straight away."

The actress confirmed that she has not yet been recognised by Hollyoaks fans on the street, adding: "But then if I was, that would be quite insulting. I was playing someone who was really ill and pale so I'm not sure being recognised would be a compliment!"

Viewers saw Jacqui tie the knot with boyfriend Rhys Ashworth (Andrew Moss) following the departure of Emily and dad Billy.
