Anita Dobson pops up as Lynne Hunter in The Bill next month to sort out her wayward son, Phil.

The actress who bowed out as the boozy landlady in 1988 has to sort out a row between Phil and his brother Steve.

It turns out that Phil has fathered a lovechild during a fling with a ####-addict called Kate, but has now turned his back. Steve wants to knock some sense into him, but it takes a meeting with his mum to sort it out.

Out Sun Hill snout revealed: "In a rare moment of emotion, Phil races to be with Kate during her scan and somehow finds himself proposing to her."

i dont think shell accept his proposal just say she ants him there for the child! then i bet him and sam have a deep conversation shel tell him that he doesnt lovekate so they shouldnt get married and he say no i love you though! well this is what i hope happens lol
