Kat and Alfie reach a turning point in EastEnders later this month as they celebrate Tommy's christening with their friends and family around them.

At the church, the residents of Walford can see that Kat is ecstatic to finally have her family back together, while Ian and Jean stand proud as godparents.

Later, as the ceremony is drawing to a close, Jack walks in and Alfie asks the vicar if he can take the time to acknowledge another little boy who couldn't be there, saying: "God bless, James."

Jack appreciates Alfie's kind gesture, but the emotion of the service soon becomes too much for him and he decides to leave the church.

Speaking of the christening, a Walford insider commented: "Kat and Alfie can't believe how lucky they are to have Tommy back. They are overjoyed that they are able to celebrate with all their friends and family around them.

"Kat is pleased when she sees Jack arrive at the christening and tells him that she hopes they can now start to rebuild their lives."

Ronnie returns on Tommy's christening day
Airs on Monday, May 16 2011 20:00 BST on BBC One

It's the day of baby Tommy's christening and Roxy is hiding a secret as she knows that Ronnie will be released on bail today. Roxy informs Phil of the news but asks him to keep it quiet. As they get ready at The Vic, Alfie suggests to Kat that they could ask Jack to be godfather and she agrees following some persuasion. However, when Alfie visits Jack's flat to speak to him about it, Jack says that he can't accept the role. Soon after Alfie arrives back at The Vic, a police officer arrives and reveals the news about Ronnie's bail. Alfie is shocked, but Kat manages to remain calm over the situation. Later, the newly-released Ronnie chats with Roxy at Joanna's café and agrees to come home.

At the same time, with the ceremony under way at the church, Jack comes in and sits next to Michael, who has also been invited. Alfie then tells the vicar that he wants to acknowledge another little boy who couldn't be here - James. Once the service is over, Kat catches up with Jack and Michael outside and says that she's glad they can all start to get on with their lives again. Later, with the celebrations continuing back at The Vic, a cab pulls up on the Square - Ronnie has returned…

Meanwhile, Jane and Ian have another argument at the chip shop, but they fail to notice Bobby slip out of the door as they row. The pettiness between the pair continues as Jane declares that Ian should stop thinking about his wallet so much, before throwing his wallet into the vat of batter. Phil then enters with an upset Bobby and Jane is shocked to realise that she hadn't even noticed he was gone. As Jane laments over how difficult the divorce is, Phil explains that he might be able to help her out.

Elsewhere, Abi confronts Phil over the way he treated Ben before his departure. Phil claims that Abi let Ben down, but Abi defends herself and questions Phil's abilities as a father.

Also today, Mercy comes clean to Lauren, explaining that Fatboy is only marrying her so that she doesn't get deported. As Mercy states that she and Fatboy don't really love each other, Lauren isn't so sure that this is the case.

Ian makes a shock announcement at The Vic
Airs on Tuesday, May 17 2011 19:30 BST on BBC One

It's the day of the Beales' divorce hearing and Phil informs Ian that Jane will be using his lawyer Jimmie for the proceedings. When Jane arrives at court, Jimmie informs her that Ian claims to be running his businesses at a loss and has no money, but Jane is adamant that this isn't true. Immediately confronting her estranged husband, Jane accuses him of lying about his accounts, but he manages to convince her that he's telling the truth. Later, Jimmie phones Phil and tells him how things are going. Phil is shocked over Ian's claims and heads over to the Beales' house to take matters into his own hands.

Just as Ian and Jane are about to reach a settlement, Phil sends a picture message to Jimmie, showing a secret stash of money that he's found at Ian's house. When Jane sees the text, she warns Ian that his lies have been rumbled and announces that she wants the café. Later, Ian sits stewing at The Vic following his bad day in court, while Jane is also at the pub. As Zainab and Masood arrive at the bar, they're in an upbeat mood as they've just offered to give Tamwar and Afia the Argee Bhajee - a gesture which has thrilled the young couple but left Yusef unimpressed. However, trouble for the Masoods looms as Yusef starts to wind Ian up at the pub, goading him into revealing more about Jane and Masood. Eventually, Yusef's words have an impact on Ian and he walks over to tell Zainab that Jane is a cheat - just like Masood…

Meanwhile, Michael is shocked when Kat and Alfie inform him that Ronnie is back on the Square. Angry that Roxy didn't tell him about it, he ignores her when she tries to talk to him. Instead, he heads over to Roxy's flat to confront Ronnie and lets himself in with his key. Michael issues a warning to Ronnie, telling her that she isn't safe here. When Roxy walks in, Michael declares that he wants Ronnie gone. Later, Jack pays a visit to the flat and he's stunned to come face-to-face with Ronnie. He immediately storms out, telling his wife that she has no right to be there.

After confronting Kat at The Vic for not telling him that Ronnie was back, Jack has a heart-to-heart with Dot. Dot has some words of wisdom for him, explaining that he can't just wash his hands of his wife. Later, he pays a second visit to Roxy's flat, where Ronnie is sleeping. He goes over and strokes Ronnie's face before leaving again, and Ronnie's eyes open as she watches him depart.

Kat has an angry confrontation with Ronnie
Airs on Thursday, May 19 2011 19:30 BST on BBC One

Roxy prepares to go out and orders Ronnie not to answer the door or the phone while she's away from the flat. However, Ronnie later ignores her sister's warning, picking up the phone when it rings as she thinks it could be Roxy. Nobody speaks on the other end of the phone but when the door buzzer goes, Ronnie presses it - still assuming that it's Roxy. Starting to feel uneasy, Ronnie leaves the flat and heads out of the main door, looking for Roxy on the Square. However, Roxy is nowhere to be seen and when she bumps into Tanya, Ronnie panics and runs back inside.

Back inside the flat, Ronnie tries to calm herself but she's further startled when she sees Kat standing in the middle of the room. As the pair stand face-to-face, Kat doesn't hold back and has a lot to say as she confronts Ronnie about the baby swap…

Meanwhile, everyone is in shock at The Vic following Ian's announcement about Jane and Masood, but Zainab laughs off his claims and tells him that he's gone insane. Jane leaves the pub and heads home, where she starts packing her bags. When Ian arrives back at the house with Bobby, he and Jane start to argue yet again, while Bobby listens to the altercation from the bottom of the stairs. As things become even more heated, Bobby approaches the pair and wraps his arms around them. This makes Jane and Ian finally realise what's really important and they promise him that there'll be no more arguments.

Jane tells Ian that it's best for her to move out and leave Bobby with him. Ian begs her to stay, apologising and telling her that he still loves her. However, Jane stands firm and asks Bobby to look after his daddy. As she leaves for good, Ian is left heartbroken.

Elsewhere, Masood tells Zainab that he hasn't cheated, but will she believe him?

Jack makes a big decision over Ronnie
Airs on Friday, May 20 2011 20:00 BST on BBC One

Ronnie agrees to look after Amy while Roxy goes to the club. While Ronnie is looking after her, Amy hears the sound of an ice cream van, leaves the room and runs out of the flat, managing to get out through the front door as it was accidentally left open by a delivery man earlier in the day. Ronnie panics when she realises that Amy is missing and rushes out on to the Square to find her. However, Jack witnesses the incident, picks up Amy and drags Ronnie to his flat. While there, Ronnie tries to apologise for everything but Jack says that he can never forgive her for not letting him say a proper goodbye to James.

Later, however, Jack pays a visit to Roxy's flat and asks Ronnie one more time for an explanation of why she did what she did. After Ronnie tries to explain herself and expresses her love for Jack, he tells her that he wants her to come home.

Meanwhile, Christian is devastated when Tanya informs him that Jane has left, so he heads over to confront Ian. Later, Christian and Syed prepare for their meeting with the social worker about the adoption. Syed tells Christian that they should keep quiet over Jane's adoption of Bobby and her decision to leave, but Christian gets angry - saying that if anyone needs to keep quiet about their family, it's Syed. When the social worker arrives, the interview goes well despite the previous tension. However, the social worker warns that every aspect of the couple's lives will be looked into. Later, a pessimistic Syed tells Christian that they should just give up now, but Christian reassures him, pointing out that the social worker described them as promising candidates.

Elsewhere, Tanya wants Ian to give her the keys for the café so she can give them to Jane, but he refuses to hand them over. Later, Ian starts to destroy the café, throwing plates onto the floor. However, he's stopped in his tracks when Tanya enters and says that his mother would be sad to see the café in this state. When Tanya gives him a bin bag and tells him to pack his things, Ian agrees and declares that the café is closed.

Also today, Dot cancels afternoon tea with Edward when she hears that Jim is coming home.

I read that bit, but why Ian. I just saw him being Alfies pal when he tried to patch things between jane and Ian.
But since when did he become Alfies best friend?
