Former EastEnders star Arinze Kene is to appear in Hollyoaks for a short guest stint next month, taking on the role of troublesome newcomer Rocco.
The actor, best known for playing Walford's Connor Stanley, arrives on the soap in early May for a new storyline which will see Riley Costello face further personal problems.
When villain Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) introduces Riley to Rocco at Chez Chez, the naive footballer is quickly drawn into some betting with his new acquaintance.
At first, Riley (Rob Norbury) has a run of good luck but his winning streak soon runs out as the stakes get higher, leaving him with a debt to pay Rocco.
Warren later warns Riley that Rocco is not a man to be messed with, and is soon proved right when Rocco starts to threaten the sportsman's girlfriend Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe), leaving fans to wonder how he will get out of his latest mess.
Kene's EastEnders stint saw him introduced as a friend of Billie Jackson's in early 2010. He had a more prominent role later in the year after Billie's death, when Connor was involved in a love triangle storyline with Whitney Dean and Carol Jackson.
Connor was last seen on EastEnders in March as fans watched Carol pay him a visit hoping for answers when Whitney had disappeared.
