However, Gaz overhears Carl tell Seth that he's got some business to attend to, meaning that he'll be late to meet his wife. Later, Heidi is shocked when Gaz turns up, but rather than spend time waiting for Carl, they head to the bedroom.

However, Carl's meeting is cut short so he heads to the hotel to surprise Heidi. Upstairs, Heidi panics when Carl calls and reveals he's arrived. Post-coital, Heidi and Gaz rush to get the room in order as Carl knocks on the door. Will they get caught doing the dirty?

Meanwhile, unimpressed by the results of her crash diet, Cheryl asks Lynsey to get her some diet pills. Soon afterwards, Lynsey meets Nurse Jennings about going back to work, but Silas plants a seed in Cheryl that perhaps the young nurse isn't ready to return to the hospital. Rhys makes a bet with Cheryl that she can't stick to healthy eating and the diet pills. However, defiant Cheryl is trying her hardest, despite her fast food cravings.

Later, alone in the club, Cheryl's craving takes hold and when she notices Rhys's chocolate biscuits hidden on a high shelf, she makes haste. As she climbs to reach the biscuits, Cheryl becomes drowsy and her vision blurs. She loses her balance and crashes to the floor.

Cheryl lies unconscious and alone in Chez Chez. Is this the result of not eating or Silas's pill swap?

Elsewhere, Duncan regretfully leaves Ricky in charge of Mobs; and Liberty turns the lads' pad into a pink palace, much to Noah and Doug's annoyance.

At Chez Chez, Rhys turns on the charm when an attractive female comes in asking for management. It's not long before Rhys is telling the stranger all about Danny Houston and Cheryl Brady.

Later, Rhys leaves the club but is hastily bundled into the back of a white van. Who is behind Rhys's kidnapping? Could it be his new friend?

Meanwhile, Silas visits Cheryl in hospital and continues to feign his concern for Lynsey, even hinting at Lynsey self-medicating and maybe mixing up her pills with Cheryl's. Later, Cheryl and Lynsey bump into Silas in Relish. While Lynsey orders, Cheryl wants to talk to Silas about his theory that Lynsey could have mixed the pills up. However, he shuts her down, claiming that he can't get involved. Silas then cheerily enquires after Lynsey and goes on his way, leaving Lynsey wondering what he's up to and Cheryl with doubts over her friend.

Elsewhere, the McQueens return home early from Tenerife, only to find that the locks have been changed on the house. The Savages declare squatters' rights and all hell breaks loose between the two families. The atmosphere soon lightens, however, when Myra and Liberty's father Dirk get on like a house on fire. She quickly decides that the Savages can stay for a while - that is until Myra discovers the celebratory BBQ is serving up Lamb Chop.

Hollyoaks star Karen Hassan has confirmed that vengeful Silas Blissett will soon have Cheryl Brady in his sinister sights as his dark storyline continues.

Earlier this month, Lynsey discovered Silas's true colours when he broke into her flat and attacked her. She later spread the word about his behaviour around the village, but few people believed her story.

In a new interview with All About Soap, Hassan revealed that Silas (Jeff Rawle) soon seizes an opportunity to get even with Lynsey when he spots her handing over diet pills to Cheryl Brady (Bronagh Waugh).

She explained: "Lynsey buys the pills for Cheryl off the internet, which is completely innocent. But Silas spots Lynsey giving the pills to Cheryl and sees an opportunity to get his own back. His evil instincts kick in once again and he slyly swaps Cheryl's diet pills for his own medication.

"Poor Cheryl takes the wrong pills and ends up collapsing in Chez Chez. Lynsey and Rhys find her slumped unconscious in the club. It's a terrifying moment for Lynsey, who's overcome with guilt for putting her best friend in hospital."

Discussing the aftermath of the incident, the actress continued: "The doctors tell her that a high level of sedative has been found in Cheryl's blood, but Lynsey is completely flummoxed by how it could have got there. It doesn't cross her mind at this stage that Silas would have wanted to hurt Cheryl. However, I think the penny will eventually drop for her."

Hassan added that Silas is trying to "blacken" Lynsey's name with the scheme.

Hollyoaks star Jeff Rawle has explained that the soap's team are keen to keep educating viewers about stranger danger on the internet.

The actor's sinister character Silas Blissett murdered student India Longford last Christmas after making contact with her online and arranging a meeting.

Silas returns to his old tricks in next week's episodes of the Channel 4 show when he starts using the same methods on newcomer Jenny, played by Daisy Turner.

Speaking to Inside Soap, Rawle commented: "It's an ongoing message we're trying to put out that the internet can be a dangerous place. Silas could be grooming up to 200 girls, waiting for just one to let down their guard - and that's where Jenny comes in."

As previously revealed, Jenny is hoping to con Silas but her scheming goes horribly wrong when she discovers his dangerous intentions as they have a picnic in the woods, leaving her in serious danger from which she may not escape.

Speaking of Jenny's ill-fated plan, Rawle added: "She'd have to be very audacious to outsmart someone who has been a killer for quite some time now. Silas is beginning to believe that he's invincible, but eventually he'll have to be brought to justice. The big question is: when?"

As well as killing India, Silas has previously come close to bumping off Nancy Hayton, Texas Longford and Lynsey Nolan.
