EASTENDERS star Patsy Palmer wants her wannabe-actor son Charley to bag a role in Albert Square - to keep him in line.
The ex-cokehead, 38, who claims addiction is in her genes, says the work ethic would help keep Charley, 19, on the straight and narrow. Flame-haired Patsy - the Square's Bianca Jackson - said: "I'd be really happy for him to be in EastEnders.
"It's quite old-fashioned and they are strict. They really look after young actors.
"I hate to think what would have happened to me if I hadn't got that break as Bianca. EastEnders saved my life."
Charley is studying acting and, says Patsy, is "very bright". The mum of four said: "I'm very happy for him to follow in my footsteps, just so long as he wants to act and doesn't have a notion of just wanting to be famous. It's very dangerous when kids say, 'I just want to be famous'."
Patsy - just named an ambassador for chocolate giant Thorntons - is still deciding whether to return to the BBC1 soap after having her fourth child, Bertie.
