IT may look like a dummy run, but these pictures show crash scenes being filmed yesterday for EastEnders' Easter weekend.
Life-sized mannequins were used to show Max Branning and daughter Abi trapped in his car after they hit a lorry on the way to the wedding of Abi's mum Tanya.
The scenes were shot from several angles, so film crew had to move the dummies into different positions.
Max and Abi are both hurt in the smash, which happens after the pair, played by Jake Wood and Lorna Fitzgerald, went to pick up her bridesmaid's dress.

Will anyone notice the difference between the dummies and the actors even when they speak

I think I do have to take issue with my old mate, Alan, here as I think the tag line is a bit unjustified.
In my humble opinion Jake Wood is one of the best actors ever to appear on Eastenders, so, yes, I would notice the difference between him and a dummy.
I am with you parkerman... I think Jake woods is a excellent actor too

Fair enough but it took you all a couple of days to spot the difference. :D
I have altered the captions accordingly :)

In defence of everyone - especially Jake Wood - I would like to reiterate what I said before. I think Jake Wood is a class act. His acting is superb. He is one of the best ever to appear in Eastenders. Unlike most, he can actually run the full gamut of emotions and has done so often in the past.

In my defence Jake Wood freaks me out. Ever since I had a nightmare about him being in my house wearing a balaclava. Even now he's gives me the "Heebee Geebee's"

EastEnders' executive producer Bryan Kirkwood has confirmed that Max Branning's forthcoming car crash will have a long-lasting impact on life in Albert Square.
Next month, fans will see Max (Jake Wood) face peril as he crashes his car into a lorry on the day of his ex-wife Tanya's wedding. His daughter Abi is also in the vehicle at the time of the collision.
Reports have suggested that a horrified Tanya (Jo Joyner) will flee from the church after she hears about the accident, just moments after she has tied the knot with partner Greg Jessop, played by Stefan Booth.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Kirkwood explained that the dramatic scenes pave the way for changes in the lives of Tanya, Greg, Max and the businessman's new partner Vanessa Gold.
Kirkwood commented: "Max and Vanessa and Tanya and Greg are heading in a particular direction, but that changes after Max's car crash on Tanya's wedding day. The accident has a real impact on Max and Tanya for a long time, and turns their lives around."
Of Tanya and Max's appeal as a couple, he added: "I think they're like Den and Angie Watts - it's fun to have them together and fun to have them apart. All I can say is that I really enjoy them together."

It sounds like Max and Tanya are getting back together.
