They probably had some sort of union celebration. Not sure how it will cover transexuals in january when same sex unions are made legal. Maybe that'll be a story line they could introduce and make Roy and Hayley actually married legally. As she's still a man on her NI number you would think that in a civil ceromeny they would be able to marry. Can understand how the church wouldn't do it as i'm not sure what their views are on transexuals but as far as the law goes she's still a man with things like NI and tax so they ought to be able to get a civil wedding.
