Has Jimmy lost his memory maybe?

Coming up in Emmerdale, former Bill actor Dominic Power is about to make his debut on the soap - playing new arrival Cameron Murray.

Cameron has history with Debbie Dingle from her recent time in Jersey and the blonde is stunned when she discovers that he has turned up in the village to see her.

There's a further surprise in store for Debbie when Cameron announces that he's left his wife and kids for her - adding that he hasn't been able to stop thinking about her since she left Jersey.

An unimpressed Debbie quickly retorts that she isn't interested in being a marriage wrecker and tells her former flame to get lost. But when Cameron continues to hang around in the village, can she carry on resisting temptation?

28th Feb

In the pub, Cain steals Nikhil's keys and later that night lets himself into Holdgate Farm. Charity awakes with a start to find Cain looming over her. She demands to know what he is doing and there is sexual tension between the pair until Jai bursts in.

As Charity explains her former partner's unexpected visit, Cain is amused to see a flicker of doubt cross Jai's face and observes that he doesn't seem to trust Charity. Before leaving, Cain assures Charity that he will see her soon.

Meanwhile, coming out of the pub laughing with Flynn, Aaron is thrown to see Jackson. Seeing Aaron is quiet, Flynn reminds him he is a good listener, and Aaron is grateful for the offer. Flynn then casually suggests going back to his place, but aware he wants to take things further, Aaron makes his excuses and it's clear that he's becoming increasingly torn.

Elsewhere, Zak admits to Debbie that he is not sure how to be there for Lisa, and Alicia goes on a date with Andy.

1st March

It's the day of Noah's party and there's tension as Jai and Charity witness Cain arrive with a big present. Later, in the pub, Charity tells Cain that she is over him and if he wants her to prove it, she will. She then heads back over to Jai and kisses him.

Shooting Cain a defiant look, Charity and Jai leave together. Outside the pub, Jai questions what is going on and Charity advises him not to ask too many questions - all he has to do is take her home and make the most of it.

Meanwhile, Nicola is struggling with the fact that it's Jimmy's birthday. When there's a knock at the door, she clearly hopes that he has returned to spend it with his family. However, her hopes are dashed when Rodney enters the room with a police officer. Nicola's heart sinks as the officer confirms the blood they found in the van was Jimmy's…

Elsewhere, Jackson picks up a new wheelchair and Hazel optimistically hopes that it will give him a new level of independence and a fresh start. Later, Jackson tells Gerry the truth about the situation between him and Aaron - and it's clear this has done nothing to endear Aaron to Gerry.

2nd March

While on a date with Flynn, Aaron opens up and admits to him that he can't stop thinking about Jackson and is struggling to make sense of his feelings. Flynn tells Aaron that he is disappointed but pleased he has finally been honest with him.

Later, Aaron arrives at Jackson's and asks him to be honest with him. Although Jackson begs him not to do this, Aaron says that he can't just turn his feelings off and he never stops thinking about him. He asserts that he has always told him to tell the truth and will do so now. He then says: "I love you."

Meanwhile, the police arrive and tell Nicola and Carl that a man meeting Jimmy's description is being treated in a hospital in Nottingham. Not being able to give them anymore information, the police request that they visit the hospital as soon as possible. In a state of confusion, Nicola can't shake her sense of foreboding - but Carl has renewed faith.

Elsewhere, Adam's fed up when John refuses to give him more responsibility, while Rhona, Paddy and Marlon go for a heart scan of the baby.

3rd March 7-00pm

Nicola and Carl are overcome with relief at the hospital when they're assured that Jimmy is going to live. However, they're both stunned to discover he has acute amnesia as a result of a head injury and he remembers nothing about who he is or what happened to him.

Despite the diagnosis, Nicola is privately confident that she can trigger his memory. However, Nicola is crushed when she's finally reunited with her husband and he has no clue about who she is and flinches at her touch. She tries to get though to him and explains how much she loves him, but she's left bereft when Jimmy insists she's a stranger to him…

Meanwhile, Debbie is angry with her mum over her latest fling and insists that Cain is keen to make amends and wants her back. Charity later confronts Cain and makes it clear he stands no chance of winning her back. She adds that next time he decides to break into Holdgate, he should know she'll be in Jai's room. Cain is left simmering as his dangerous jealousy builds.

Elsewhere, Jackson is thrown that Aaron has finally said the three words he's waited so long to hear. Aaron assures him that he's not going anywhere this time - they're going to get through this together and he isn't doing it out of sympathy. Arriving at the pub, Aaron and Jackson tell everyone they're back on for good, but Paddy and Chas are worried.

Also today, Debbie rejects Cameron when he arrives in the village and says that he's left his wife and kids for her, while Marlon, Paddy and Rhona are relieved when the scan proves the baby's heart is okay.


3rd march 8-00pm

Faye winds Cain up further when she moans about having to see Jai and Charity all over each other constantly.

Later, Cain confronts Charity outside Holdgate and tells her this is the worst decision of her life - she'll never be happy because he won't let her be. As he leaves, Charity's defiance slips as she realises Cain means every word.

Meanwhile, Nicola is heartbroken when Jimmy doesn't recognise a photo of Angelica and seems terrified when she tells him they're taking him home. They agree to wait another day, but Nicola is crushed and finally crumbles in the hospital corridor - crying that she's lost him again.

Elsewhere, Aaron assures Paddy and Chas that his reunion with Jackson is what he really wants and he finally knows what love is; Debbie is forced to fight temptation when Cameron invites her for dinner; John is fuming when Adam clocks off early to help Declan out at Home Farm; and Val and Amy bulldoze David and Leyla into giving Amy a job in the shop.

4th March

Charity is in bed with Jai when she receives a text from Cain and realises he is outside. Looking out of the window, she reveals she's wearing something skimpy and gets back into bed. Later, Cain warns her that as long as she's with Jai, he'll be everywhere she looks and questions whether it's worth it.

That evening, Cain leaves Jai thrown when he paints a dark picture of Charity's seedy past as a prostitute, filling him in on how low she'll go for cash.

Meanwhile, as Jimmy arrives home, everyone is saddened to realise the Jimmy they knew has gone - he doesn't recognise any of them and he doesn't have the same sense of humour. After giving him a guided tour of his house, Nicola is gutted when Jimmy doesn't feel comfortable sleeping in the same bed as her and goes upstairs alone. Frightened and confused, Jimmy feels so alone.

Elsewhere, Alicia and Andy are both pleased that their second attempt at dinner went well; Faye and Jai continue to argue and when he calls her jealous and desperate, she slaps him and he fires her on the spot; Paddy, Marlon and Rhona are positive about the challenges that lie ahead as they plan to attend a support group tomorrow; Amy is hopeful that Val will be able to keep her in the village when she reveals the foster care hearing is next week; and Nikhil worries that Faye has grounds for unfair dismissal.

Emmerdale star Nicola Wheeler has discussed the soap's forthcoming amnesia storyline, admitting that her character Nicola King takes the wrong approach with husband Jimmy when he loses his memory.

The actress's feisty alter ego is currently deeply worried on screen as Jimmy has disappeared without explanation. However, there is relief all around in next week's episodes when police reveal that Jimmy (Nick Miles) has been found alive and is being treated at a hospital in Nottingham.

Later, when Nicola arrives at the hospital, she receives the unexpected news that Jimmy has lost his memory due to a head injury - leaving her devastated.

Speaking to Inside Soap, Wheeler explained: "It seems that he's basically forgotten everything that happened up to and including the accident.

"Nicola hopes that seeing her will trigger something in his brain. But things simply don't register at all. It's the same when they finally get back to the village - Jimmy can't recall ever having lived there."

Admitting that Nicola's pushy attitude does not help matters, the star added: "She's inadvertently putting too much pressure on him. Jimmy can see himself in family photos but doesn't feel like a part of it all. He's just uncomfortable."

Jimmy's amnesia is expected to put his marriage under severe strain in the weeks ahead, leaving fans to wonder whether he and Nicola can ever get back on track.
