If you're sure the time is right - go for it.

My son is six and my little girl is 4 years old now. The time has just flew by, they're little horrors though if I had the choice I would never have had 2 so close together again but I didn't decide on having them in the first place, it just sort of happened. I knew I wanted children preferrably 2 a boy and a girl which is what most people would have in an ideal world but I didn't want to start until I was in my thirties. I was advised that children would be too much of a struggle in my twenties by my mum.
She just wanted me to live a little first I suppose.

if you are on the pill and you are looking to fall pregant in the next year then i suggest you come off the pill now as it does take a while to come out of your system but bear in mind you might fall pregnant straight away also.you dont have to consult your doctor unless you feel any real need to.
my first son is 5 (6 in aug) and my other son is 15 months,i regret leaving such a big gap between them so im having this next one pretty quick lol. it took me a year to fall pregnant with my second son as i had been on the pill for all that time after having my first but with this one i wasnt back on the pill long enough to work its way into my ststem properly and i fell pregnant straight away.
good luck :)

Hi Brenda, I'm pregnant with third - I was on the pill when I conceived first, finished the pill a week before I fell with 2nd and this time took 6 months. Just try to stay relaxed about it all (which is easier said than done). Keep positive and relaxed, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I wasn't on the pill, and fell pregnant the first month all 3 times I got pregnant. The first time I miscarried at 13 weeks, but I have 2 healthy boys now of 11 and 13.

Remember to take folic acid suppliements from as soon as you are thinking about trying for a baby until you are 13/14 weeks gone. Also, stop drinking and smoking as soon as you start trying. Other than that eat healthily, and like Jo says keep positive and relaxed.

I've never been on the pill.

I've never been on the pill. I don't want to go back on it after this one makes its appearance. Been on the pill since I was 15 - a long time to mess with my hormones, and I honestly think its what makes me grumpy. When we were trying for this one I was happy as larry, though that could be cause I'd finally convinced hubby to go for it. :rotfl:
