View Full Version : New romance for Miles
Home And Away's Miles Copeland is set for a "surprising" new romance, his alter ego has revealed.
The lovable Summer Bay resident has not had the best luck in the love department and a recent fling with hippy newcomer Shandi was short-lived.
But actor Josh Quong Tart said things could be looking up for his character's love life.
He said: "You know what? It's coming. He finds someone. I don't know how long it lasts. It could be another Shandi and last a couple of weeks, but he's more surprised than anyone that it happens."
Asked if the lucky lady is someone who lives in Summer Bay, he said: "It may be. I found it very intriguing. When I found out, I said 'Oh my God! OK, sure. Let's do this.' This particular person I'm working with - I really enjoy working with as an actor. There's a real ease to what happens when we act that I really enjoy."

Home and Away character Miles Copeland will reportedly confess his love to Leah Patterson-Baker in upcoming scenes.
According to the Daily Star Sunday, Miles - played by Josh Quong Tart - will shock Leah (Ada Nicodemou) when he confesses that he wants to be more than just good friends.
"Miles and Leah have both been unlucky in love so if they could find happiness together it would be pretty special," a source told the paper.
"Leah is shocked but once the confession starts to sink in she wonders whether they could work as a couple.
"She begins to consider making a go of it with him. But, like a lot of relationships in Summer Bay, the path of true love never runs smooth."
The scenes will air on Channel 5 this summer.
Earlier this year, Tart revealed that his character will find love again.

They seem better as friends
Home and Away star Josh Quong Tart has spoken of how his character Miles Copeland proposes to girlfriend Leah Patterson-Baker in a forthcoming storyline.
In scenes which air in Australia next week, Miles reaches his decision to pop the question - keen to solidify his relationship following the news that Leah is expecting his baby.
"They've dated for a while and they know each other so well, and I think it's just one of those things that makes sense," Quong Tart told TV Week.
Viewers will see Miles confide in Summer Bay stalwart Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher) over his decision as he makes plans for the perfect proposal.
"Alf is very excited and thinks it's a great idea," Quong Tart continued. "It kind of does make sense, and it's good to see considering all the turmoil going on with the other Summer Bay couples."
Meanwhile, Ada Nicodemou - who plays Leah - confirmed that her character is surprised when Miles pops the question at the pier, leaving her with a decision to make over their future.
She said: "It does come as a shock to Leah! She's not thinking about marriage at all at this stage."

I like them as a couple. Much better suited that Leah and Elijah for sure
Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou has revealed that there are big obstacles ahead in her character Leah's relationship with Miles Copeland.
Viewers in Australia have recently seen Leah left devastated as she suffered another miscarriage, just a few weeks after her discovery that she was pregnant.
The chef also feels guilty over her loss as she had initially been apprehensive about the pregnancy, having previously suffered another miscarriage during her relationship with Dan.
Nicodemou has now told TV Week that Leah starts to push Miles (Josh Quong Tart) away in the aftermath of the tragedy, telling him that he should be with another woman as she will not be trying to get pregnant again.
"Leah doesn't know if Miles should stay in the relationship," Nicodemou explained. "She's pushing him away and doesn't want him to miss out on something he wants so badly - to be a father again.
"Leah gives Miles an ultimatum that's a total shock to him. He can't believe what he is hearing. Leah is looking for an easy option to push Miles away, rather than dealing with her guilt and grief."
The actress added: "She's blaming Miles, and if she keeps pushing him away, it could lead to heartbreak for them both."
