EASTENDERS favourite Spencer Moon is close to rejoining big brother Alfie in Albert Square.
Spencer, played by Chris Parker, 27, was last seen in the BBC1 soap when he left for Australia in 2005.
But producers are in talks for him to return after the autumn comeback of Alfie (Shane Richie) and wife Kat (Jessie Wallace) proved a hit with viewers.
A source said: “Bosses have always considered bringing back Spencer further down the line.
“He and Alfie were a great double act bouncing off each other. They were more like father and son than brothers and they can’t wait to get them back on screen together.”
Chris’s exit from the soap came after a suicide *attempt in which he slashed his wrists in a London *hotel. He had previously wowed fans on the first series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2004.
The source added: “Chris has had a tricky time but he has come a long way since and can’t wait to be back in Walford.”
