It doesn't matter if they know who she is does it? surely it would be just like having a new character show up for them except they might hear people who do know who she is talking about her where as with someone really new no one knows anything so can only talk about what has been seen in that episode

good lord. NO. WHY!?
another person to fit into Pat's Tardis.
From Digital Spy:
Former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer is returning to the BBC soap after eight years - despite stating in 2005 that she would "never go back".
The 35-year-old – who played Bianca Jackson between 1993 and 2002 – is to walk back into Walford as a single mother with a hoard of children in tow, each with a different father.
Speaking of her return, the actress said: "I'm really excited about rejoining the cast and working with old friends again. I can't wait to explore what Bianca has been doing with her life and seeing what she is going to get up to next."
Executive Producer Diederick Santer added: "I'm delighted to welcome Patsy Palmer home to EastEnders. Bianca is one of the most popular characters the show has ever had. Millions grew up with her."
Patsy begins filming at Borehamwood's Elstree Studios - home of Albert Square - in January and is due to make her screen re-appearance in the spring.
Back in 2005, however, she revealed on This Morning that she would "never go back" as well as branding the show "rubbish" at the time.
A spokeswoman for the Walford soap has denied any plans for Sid Owen - Patsy's former on-screen husband, Ricky Butcher - to return.

I heard something on similar from Tina Baker on LK Today/GMTV. Like you say, why now ? why Pat ? Unless it is something to do with the amended storylines re Jim and Dot following the actor's stroke.

Former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer said she would never return to EastEnders.
Asked on ITV1's This Morning today if she ever watched the soap she replied: "I don't watch it now - it's a bit rubbish."
She added: "I can say that now because I'm a viewer."
Palmer said that if she was ever asked to return to EastEnders she would decline.

Bianca's screaming and shouting can get a bit much. They should tone her down a bit I think.
Don't you find that they all tend to shout - in all soaps? Granted, Bianca and Ricky appear to be the worst offenders but Carla and Liam and Maria and Liam, Michelle and Steve in Corrie can't hold a normal conversation when they got emotional, it is just shouting and shouting and more shouting.

Next week sees the culmination of one of 2008's most hard-hitting EastEnders storylines when Tony's (Chris Coghill) true intentions towards his step-daughter Whitney (Shona McGarty) are revealed. As her 16th birthday dawns, Whitney prepares to start her much-anticipated new life with Bianca's (Patsy Palmer) fiancé Tony, completely unaware of his true motives. Frustrated, Whitney comes clean with her step-mum Bianca. Here, DS chats to Patsy Palmer about the sensitive storyline and a potential trial for Tony.
What's been the most upsetting thing about this storyline for you?
"I think it's the fact that you can't open the papers anymore without seeing situations like Whitney's been going through. Everything's so harrowing and there are so many reports of these kind of incidents. I think the other upsetting thing is that women like Bianca are so vulnerable - the fact that men like Tony can go into a family a groom a child. I then start to think about the story we didn't see. It's just really sad that women like Bianca find themselves in such a vulnerable position as to be manipulated so quickly without knowing it."
Which scenes were the most difficult to portray?
"The confusion Bianca feels during the reveal episodes had to be the most difficult. For me, I almost didn't want to play the confusion. I just wanted Bianca to get a knife, go into protective parent mode and go straight for Tony's throat!"
In a nutshell, how does the revelation come about?
"It's Whitney's birthday and she thinks she's going away with Tony to Spain. She's getting ready for their trip, but there are all these obstacles for her to overcome, like her present from Bianca and the children. Whitney feels a huge loyalty to her family. Because Bianca's a mum who's always out working, Whitney's at home almost bringing them up as her own. As an audience, we know that Tony's going nowhere with Whitney and it's at that point she decides she's had enough and tells Bianca. At first, I think she tells Bianca to spite Tony. She doesn't realise the enormity of the situation. When Bianca goes downstairs and looks at the picture of a younger Whitney - I really didn't like that. Bianca then hears them in the bedroom talking about what's been going on. It's lucky really because they could have fallen back into his trap again."
How does Tony react?
"He tries to do the thing that these kind of people do and manipulate Bianca and say that the whole situation with Whitney's a lie."
Does Bianca blame herself for everything?
"Yeah, she does really. Because of everything that's happened, she thinks she was never a good mum in the first place."
How did you portray the 'torn' emotion that Bianca was feeling?
"That's the thing about playing the mum - nobody really thinks about the mum in these kind of situations. They think about the child, quite rightly, but there is a family around the child that's going through it all and it must be so difficult."
Does it upset Bianca when Whitney starts trying to track down her real mum?
"Yeah, it's brilliant that they've brought this part of the storyline in straight away, that Whitney's trying to find her real mum. Obviously she's so confused about who she is and what's been going on. Selfishly, Bianca feels a bit betrayed, though."
Would you like to see this storyline come to a head by going to trial?
"Yeah, it'd be really good. Surely it's got to? I haven't even thought about that, to be honest. It'd be great to see it play out in the court, how Whitney deals with the court process and how it affects the whole family."
Is it hard to believe that children and unassuming parents find themselves in these kind of situations?
"Yeah, I'm fortunate that I've never experienced anything like this in my life or in my family and I think I'm a very fortunate person in this day and age because unfortunately, when you look at the statistics from the NSPCC, too much of it goes on - and they're only the incidents we know about. What about all the undetected cases?"
Last night, I attended EastEnders' Christmas screening and this year, there's a mix of emotion, high-drama and comedy, including the Mitchell/Slater paternity revelation, Jim's return, Suzy causing havoc in The Vic, little Tiffany singing Christmas carols, Heather needing a good ol' Xmas dinner and Bianca struggling to come to terms with her situation in the wake of Tony's betrayal.
Over the coming weeks, I'll have 'Enders interviews with Larry Lamb (Archie), Charlie Brooks (Janine), John Altman (Nick Cotton) and Rob Kazinsky (Sean). For now, though, here are some additional quotes from my recent interview with Patsy Palmer.
Here, Patsy talks Shona McGarty, Chris Coghill, Ricky and Bianca and what's to come (sort of) in 2009.
What's it been like working with Shona and Chris?
"Chris is fantastic. He came in and felt like he was doing a service to people in this situation. He's such a great actor. I feel very blessed that I've been able to work with him on this storyline. And Shona - I love her to bits. We have a really good bond with each other. I'm quite protective over her as an actress, too. She plays the role brilliantly, you really see the little girl in the character."
Do you think Bianca and Ricky are destined to be together now?
"They'll always be destined to be together. The longer they keep them apart, though, the better. It shouldn't always be Bianca being horrible to Ricky, though. He really loves her! A few little twists along the way would be good. Bianca gets jealous really easily. He's the love of her life."
What can we expect from Bianca in 2009?
"Well, I'm not allowed to tell you this really, but Brad Pitt's coming into the show and she's going to have an affair with his character! No, in all seriousness, the storyliners really do bring in some fantastic twists when you least expect them. Just when you think it's all over… "
To be honest when Bianca came back into the soap i thought oh no its gunna be crap but i must admit this storyline is one of the best of this year and in all honesty i hope that the storyline takes Tony to court. I know in one of the other threads it says that he is supposed to get murdered but i hope that the soap will do it properly and show that you cant get away with it. Why does he need to be murdered? In a way its kind of the easy way out.
He gets arrested and I don't think that Tony would be released on bail with this charge against him and therefore I don't think he will be murdered. Would like to see the court case against him, that would be educational to see what happens, if they keep it very real.
I agree. I hope that they take him to court and show the pain a family must go through when doing this. To show what Whitney feels. You have to remember that she loves Tony and doesnt think hes done anything wrong. How will she react having to come face to face with him and give evidence against him. How will Bianca and the rest of the family cope.
Will the rest of the family be affected? When things like this happen it is usually the case that the other children in the family can be tormented/bullied at school or somewhere about the situation. Will this happen? How will the rest of the family react when they realise that social services come in to investigate whether he has done this with little Tiffany and has been grooming Lauren.
How will the rest of the square react? Will they blame Bianca for not realising. Will Max blame Bianca cos something could have happened to his daughter?
Will Tony ever admit what he has done?
These are all different things that EE's should show and portray when doing the scenes. I hope they do this storyline justice with a great ending.
The rest of the square is going to gang up on Lucas, questioning him allowing Tony to work at the youth centre, so the storyline is not going to stop until a possible court case. I am sure that they will use this opportunity to bring a lot of characters to life.
I can understand why they would be annoyed at Lucas for employing Tony but on the other hand if Lucas had done a search on Tony's background he would have not found his paedophile ways... I think that is a bit un-fair.. everyone was taken in by Tony so Lucas shouldn't have to face this on his own
I am not sure though whether Lucas waited for the CRB check on Tony to come back. It might not have shown any paedophile issues but the fact he beat up a youngster should have and then Lucas should not and might not have employed Tony.
Lucas knew he was in jail for beating up a youngster.. Tony told him that he was protecting Whitney.
Then it will be understandable that the residents of the square will question his judgement.

I am glad this story line is coming to an end,, Lauren seems to be a smart cookie and avoided Tony..even tho Tony tried to manipulate her and get her close to him,
Bianca is going to have to GROW UP and be a MOM now,, and accept the fact that the guy she was "in love" with was not the guy she knew...ex-cons are such slime !!!!!!!!!!!! And I am also suprised the prison released him to a family of underage children, Tiffaney could have been next in line,,
But he arrived rather late at Bianca's when he was released. He might have told the authorities he would go to a different address. I don't believe a word that guy is saying.
BIANCA Jackson squeals with delight when she discovers she is getting a stripper to entertain her during her hen night.
But she is shocked when the hunky fella turns out to be her Square neighbour, Leon (Sam Attwater, 24). He is quick to show her what he’s made of.
And despite being disappointed that he is not a real stripper, Bianca (Patsy Palmer, 37) enjoys his performance.

I know Patsy left to have her baby
I think it is just for a while to begin with but looking at spoilers 2nd week in Jan, it seems like she makes some decision.. So reckon this might be the lead up to her departure.. it would explain why she would leave the kids.. Maybe she does own up to taking the jewelry for Whitney and gets 9 months to a year in prison...
Meanwhile, this next picture shows the moment that EastEnders favourite Bianca Jackson puts her perfect family Christmas in jeopardy by accidentally hitting a police officer.
On Christmas Eve, the devoted mum decides to open a present from the kids early and is surprised when it turns out to be an expensive perfume. She then thanks Ricky for giving them the money to pay for it - but it soon transpires that they must have stolen the gift.
The fragrance isn't the only stolen item being kept at the household in the festive period as Whitney is still looking after a stash of jewellery for Connor. When two police officers arrive at the house wanting to search the place, Bianca panics as it seems that her family could be in hot water.
In the resulting commotion, one of the officers tries to calm down a nervous Bianca - but she accidentally whacks him across the face and ends up being driven away in a police car. Will Bianca make it back home in time for Christmas?

Patsy Palmer quits EastEnders over cot death storyline
PATSY Palmer has quit *EastEnders amid the furore surrounding the *controversial baby swap storyline.
The actress, currently on maternity leave, said the plot affected her daughter Emilia, nine, so much she pleaded with her to leave the soap.
Patsy, who has played Bianca since 1993, said the plotline, involving Ronnie Branning switching her dead baby for Kat Moon’s newborn son, made Emilia cry.
Speaking about the scenes, Patsy, 38, told Hello!: “Emilia adores her new baby brother Bertie and she couldn’t believe *something like that could happen. She was sobbing and kept saying, ‘Please don’t go back there, Mummy’.
“I had to calm her down and explain that it wasn’t for real and that it was all pretend. But being only nine it was difficult for her to understand.
“It affected me too, especially after having Bertie, so I can imagine how other mums must have felt.”
The mother of four, married to cabbie Richard Merkell, added: “I’ve just finished my contract with EastEnders and I’ve decided I don’t want to be tied to anything.
“I just want to spend as much time as I can with Bertie and enjoy every minute with him.
I hope she leaves with her kids and Ricky this time around

Sorry Lizann, looks like she's not going anywhere:-
Palmer: 'I have not quit EastEnders'
EastEnders star Patsy Palmer has denied reports that she has quit the soap, confirming that she has "every intention" of returning to Walford.
The actress - who plays Albert Square favourite Bianca Jackson - is currently on maternity leave after welcoming the arrival of her fourth child Bertie last month.
In a new interview with Hello magazine published today, Palmer revealed that her EastEnders contract recently expired and that she wishes to "enjoy every minute" with her newborn son for the time being.
The star's comments have since led to suggestions that she has decided to leave her role on the programme due to the controversial baby swap storyline currently airing on screen.
However, in a statement released this morning, Palmer insisted: "I have not quit EastEnders over the current storyline as reports suggest. My contract came to an end soon after I gave birth to Bertie and as I have already said, I just want to spend every minute with him.
"I love EastEnders and have every intention of returning when the time is right for me and the show."
Bianca's departure storyline airs this week as she ends up in prison for attacking Connor Stanley (Arinze Kene), the secret lover of her mum Carol.

Palmer exit sparks 'Enders scene changes
EastEnders bosses were forced to think of an "inventive" way to continue Bianca Jackson's current storyline after Patsy Palmer gave birth early, Digital Spy can reveal.
Producers at the BBC soap faced a problem in December after Palmer welcomed the arrival of her fourth child Bertie almost a month before he was due.
Bertie's early arrival came as Palmer was about to film explosive scenes focusing on a showdown between Bianca and her loved ones, sparked by the revelation of her mum Carol's secret relationship with Connor Stanley.
Speaking in a new interview with Hello magazine, Palmer admitted: "I wasn't planning to go on leave for another three weeks so they will have to explain my sudden absence - maybe aliens will abduct Bianca! But they were very supportive and told me their only concern was for me and my baby's health."
A Walford source told DS today: "Everyone was thrilled for Patsy when she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, but his early arrival did create a big challenge because some key scenes showing Bianca becoming involved in the Carol and Connor storyline had yet to be filmed.
"We had all the build-up shot as well as the aftermath, but there were some important scenes in the middle that hadn't been done. In the end, we had to be quite inventive in the way that we proceeded with the storyline.
"As a result, one of the affected scenes from the storyline will play out in a special way, showing events unfold through the eyes of Bianca's daughter Tiffany. It worked out quite well as we had already been showing how Carol's secret was having a big effect on Tiffany and causing her to behave strangely. But the viewers will have to wait and see exactly how it all happens when the episodes air."
The scenes in question - which lead to Bianca's temporary departure from the Square - will be screened this week. Show bosses also brought back Natalie Cassidy's character Sonia Fowler for a one-off episode to help with the conclusion of the storyline.

Yeh, the whole Bianca storyline was ridiculous, but I guess Eastenders didnt have a lot to work with so i will try and let that go lol. Natalie Cassidy's acting was appauling, I dont know what was going on there, because she used to be brilliant. 'Bianca couldnt call because her battery went dead and she couldnt find her phone charger ha'. Ricky is surprisingly calm about his wife going to prison for a few months. Did he not even want to see her before she went? they hadnt filmed the scenes I guess.
I thought Natalie's acting was pretty good.
The actress made an abrupt departure from her role as Bianca Butcher in late 2010 when she gave birth to her fourth child Bertie weeks before he was due. Her contract with the Walford serial subsequently expired, leaving fans to wonder if and when she would return.
However, in an interview with The Mirror today, Palmer revealed that she has signed a special "working mums" contract which will allow her to return to EastEnders while continuing to spend time with her family.
Palmer explained: "I honestly thought I wouldn't go back. I wanted to make sure Bertie was 100% healthy and EastEnders is relentless. Even now I don't know how I'm going to do it. I'm a mother of four wonderful kids and they come first. Like most working parents, juggling everything can be difficult but my new contract will give me more time with my family.
"The trade-off is less money as we only get paid for what we do but the most important thing is that I will be there for all their important dates like sports and parents days, school holidays and things like that. And viewers won't notice because of the way they will schedule filming."
She continued: "I start filming in the autumn and will be on screen before Christmas and I'm really excited as I've got some great storylines coming up."
Bianca is currently in prison for attacking ladies' man Connor Stanley. Palmer has predicted that the feisty mum will be a changed woman once she returns home to Albert Square.
"I love playing Bianca but she was always miserable," she said. "But after her experience in prison I think we'll see a different softer side to Bianca which will be a new challenge for me."

Patsy Palmer does seem to have been gone for a very long time!
Christmas Day in Walford isn't normally the happiest of days, but one EastEnders family will be excited about it.
The family of Bianca Butcher have been miserable since she was sent to prison earlier this year, but they're set to be reunited with her a few days before the festive date.
In an episode set to be screened on December 22, viewers will see the mother-of-four arrive back in Albert Square - but she doesn't look her usual self as she's sporting a dodgy black eye.
The family are getting in the Christmas spirit at a festive concert, when the redhead - played by Patsy Palmer - makes a surprise return.
Her stepdaughter Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) - who has found Bianca's absence particularly difficult - is feeling quite upset and as a result forgets her lines whilst singing.
But just at the moment, Bianca stops the festivities and greets her family.
At first they're over the moon to see her with her mother Carol Jackson (Lindsey Coulson) and her grandmother Pat Evans (Pam St Clement) watching as she embraces her son, Liam.
But their joy soon turns to shock when they see a painful looking bruise on Bianca's left eye.
The scatty character obviously has a lot of explaining to do, but before that she enjoys a lingering kiss with her husband, Ricky - who is played by Sid Owen.
And it seems that the happy reunion won't last for long as on Christmas Day, Walford are set to lose a legendary resident in the form of Bianca's grandmother, Pat.
The fiery female is going to say her goodbyes after learning that she has a cancer and then suffering from a fatal heart attack.
But this isn't the only drama that Bianca will face in the coming months as in the New Year, the father of her youngest child, Morgan , will arrive in Albert Square.
Devon Higgs - played by Chucky Venn - is tracked down by Whitney, because she's fed up of seeing Bianca struggle, but he isn't aware that he has a son at first.
'Ray is determined to be a part of Morgan's life and he heads to Walford,' said the BBC.
'Although Bianca isn't keen on having him around, Ray soon turns heads with the other ladies in Albert Square.'
The Christmas Day drama and the fact that Walford residents never start a New Year with a clean slate is of course what fans expect of the soap, but for the first year ever it may not be the most popular programme on the small screen this Christmas.
It's rumoured that ITV's festive slice of hit drama Downton Abbey could beat the soap in the ratings war after teaser images of the two-hour special have excited fans.
'Downton fever has gripped the nation, said Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes. 'If it breaks the record we'll be surviving on rations.'

EastEnders favourites Ricky and Bianca Butcher come face-to-face for the first time in months next week - but soon end up in an explosive argument.
When Ricky (Sid Owen) returns home from Dubai, Pat (Pam St Clement) and the rest of the family believe that it couldn't come at a better time as they're about to lose the house and need his financial help.
However, Ricky soon drops a bombshell on his loved ones as he reveals that he lost all of his money while working abroad and has now returned with less than he went away with.
Feeling like a failure, Ricky realises that he'll have to tell Bianca the truth, so he heads out to visit her at the prison.
Bianca (Patsy Palmer) is thrilled to see Ricky, but her joy soon turns to horror as she hears about Pat's financial mess and the trouble her husband got in while he was away.

As Bianca rants at Ricky over his carelessness, he fires back by reminding her of the turmoil she has caused for the family by landing herself in prison.
Furious over Ricky's words, Bianca screams that she hates him and orders him to leave. Can the couple get back on track or are they on the rocks?

EastEnders airs a big week for Bianca Butcher from next Monday as her marriage to Ricky reaches rock bottom - and Morgan's real dad Ray Dixon turns up on the Square.
More trouble lies ahead for the Butcher clan in the coming days when Mandy Salter (Nicola Stapleton) tells Ricky about the tragedy she suffered many years ago, when their baby girl died on the day she was born.
Stunned to discover that he had a daughter with Mandy, Ricky (Sid Owen) decides not to tell Bianca anything just yet - but the fiery mum finds out when Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) lets the secret slip.
In the aftermath of the revelation, Bianca (Patsy Palmer) tells Ricky that their relationship is over as it's one secret too many. However, Ricky refuses to give up on their marriage and desperately tries to keep the family together.
During a heart-to-heart with Carol (Lindsey Coulson) next week, Bianca admits that she still loves Ricky and is willing to give him another chance - but her mum advises that it may be time to move on.

When Ricky's attempt to win Bianca back with a romantic meal isn't enough, things are looking bleak. Will Bianca decide to end things with Ricky?
Bianca's dramatic week then continues when Ray (Chucky Venn) arrives on the Square unexpectedly - keen to see Morgan again after Whitney introduced the pair. However, Ray immediately gets an angry reception from Bianca, who warns him to stay away from Morgan.

Later, following some wise words from Whitney (Shona McGarty), will Bianca see sense and let father and son spend more time together?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, January 16 and Thursday, January 19 on BBC One.
Patsy Palmer and Lindsey Coulson are to take time away from EastEnders.
Palmer, who plays Bianca Butcher on the BBC One soap, will leave Albert Square for around six months at the end of April to spend more time with her four children. Her on-screen mother Coulson, who plays Carol Jackson, is also due to take a break over the summer.
Bianca will depart on April 27 when she has an explosive row with Carol, who takes her grandchildren away from Bianca to live with her in the countryside, according to The Mirror.
A programme insider said that Bianca's bust-up with Carol "is sure to break people's hearts as they realise just how close to the edge she is".
The EastEnders audience has seen single mother Bianca struggle with money worries in recent months.
Viewers will see her become increasingly desperate to make ends meet ahead of her departure as she steals food for her family and borrows money from a loan shark.
An EastEnders spokeswoman has confirmed that both actresses will return to the show later in 2012.

Will Whitney stay with Tyler?
Carol isnt exactly overly loving towards Whitney
Ray might keep Morgan with him
Hope the same actors return for the kids characters, seems quite a few of the cast having time out. Pity Ben's name not listed.

On the contrary, I think some of the subtle villainy within Derek's character plots are far more plausable than many of the pantomime antics of Phil etc!
EastEnders star Patsy Palmer has explained her decision to take a break from the soap.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Palmer is bowing out from her role as Bianca Butcher for six months to spend more time with her four children.
Speaking of her choice for the first time, Palmer told The Sun's TV Buzz magazine: "I'm only taking time off now because this is when the kids' holidays are. When I re-signed my contract I said, 'I love EastEnders, but I love my kids more'.
"Listen, I can imagine staying in the show till I'm in my 60s, but it's a full-on job. If they hadn't been prepared to give me time off, I'd have had to choose the kids."
EastEnders fans see Bianca's exit scenes on Friday, April 27 in a special episode focusing entirely on the fiery character's escalating troubles.
Palmer confirmed: "It's a horrible final day for her. Bianca leaves the house and says she'll be back in a minute, then bumps into everyone - Tyler, Derek, Dot, Janine - and every person she meets gives her more and more to think about. She's in a daze by the end - she's delirious, like she's on drugs.
"What's happening to Bianca is similar to what a lot of people are dealing with. It makes me really grateful I can afford to feed my kids."
The 39-year-old also opened up over her passion for EastEnders and previous outspoken comments about the soap.
She said: "I love EastEnders and I'm always honest when I talk about it. I made the mistake once of saying I thought it was rubbish at a particular time, but I don't care. I am allowed to have an opinion.
"The show goes through phases of really brilliant storylines, then it has a bit of a wobble. But look how long it's been going. The amount of stories they have to find is unbelievable."
Read the full interview with Patsy Palmer in the next issue of TV Buzz magazine, which is free with The Sun tomorrow (April 14).

Take a butchers at EastEnders star Patsy Palmer having a splashing time in the sun a million miles away from miserable Walford.
The stunning 40-year-old, who plays loudmouth Bianca Butcher in the soap, has ditched her character’s tacky tracksuits for a classy and flattering turquoise bikini.
Patsy was all smiles as she showed off her beautifully toned beach body while kissing husband Richard Merkell and playing with their kids on a pedalo.
The smoochy couple, who have matching stars tattoos, renewed their wedding vows on another dream holiday in April.
But Patsy had better make the most of this Ibiza break with Fenton, 12, Emilia, 11, and 20-month-old Bertie. In October she’s back in Albert Square and there won’t even be Rickaaayyy to shout at.

EastEnders stars Patsy Palmer and Lindsey Coulson have returned to filming after a six-month break.
Their characters Bianca Butcher and Carol Jackson will be back on TV screens over the Christmas period, The Sun reports.
"The cast and crew are excited that the Jackson family are due to return and their storylines are as colourful as ever," an insider told the paper, saying that Bianca and her children would have "a heavy screen presence over the festive period".
"Bosses are hoping the return of Bianca and Carol will prove a big draw for viewers over Christmas," the source added, confirming that Bianca is due to return to screens as her uncle Max Branning remarries ex-wife Tanya on Christmas Eve.
Palmer took a break from the soap earlier this year to spend time with her family.
Wiewers saw Bianca leave Walford as she breached the terms of her probation by attempting to steal money from a market stall, as she faced extreme financial hardship.
Carol followed her daughter out of the soap, moving to Suffolk temporarily with Bianca's children.
Patsy Palmer is to leave DeadEnders, it has been announced.
The 41-year-old actress has played Bianca Butcher on the BBC One soap since 1993.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Palmer said: "Patsy is really sad to be leaving the show as she loves playing Bianca and working with executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins but she knows it's the right decision at this time in her life."
Meanwhile, EastEnders' Treadwell-Collins confirmed that he would not be killing off Palmer's character.
He added: "We are so sad that Patsy has decided to leave us but completely understand it's the right time for her.
"Bianca won't be leaving Albert Square until the autumn so there's still a lot more to come from her on screen this year – and the door will be left wide open for her return. We won't be getting rid of Bianca's puffa jacket just yet."
The mother-of-four will reportedly move with her family to Los Angeles this summer.
Palmer originally exited the show in 1999 before she returned for a one-off episode in 2002. She reprised the part of Bianca full-time again in 2008.

I can't stand Bianca's screechy voice and selfishness so I can't say I'm sorry to see her go. She seems to have very few redeeming features nowadays.

The mother-of-four will reportedly move with her family to Los Angeles this summer.
I took that to mean that Patsy Palmer and her family would move to LA, not Bianca and her lot.
ooops sorry, I now see what you mean ... it does sound like it, yes

does Patsy have four children? I didnt think so..?

Yes, she does have four children according to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patsy_Palmer#Personal_life).
Well spotted you guys , I assumed it was Bianca , but according to reports in the Daily Mirror & Daily Mail it is Patsy Palmer moving to Los Angeles. So her on screen family might be staying on the show ?
get ricky back for her exit
It says she will move to LA with her family ... guess they are leaving too
mean bianca's kids
Now I think it is Patsy and her real family that move to LA - not Bianca in her leaving storyline
That's correct Perdita.
We don't know anything about Bianca's leaving storyline yet, other than that her last scenes air in the Autumn and she isn't being killed off.

EastEnders is lining up another comeback for iconic cast member Patsy Palmer.
Palmer will be filming scenes in the coming weeks for her character Bianca Jackson's return to Walford to coincide with her surrogate daughter Whitney Dean's arrest for killing Leo King, reports The Sun.
Digital Spy has reached out to EastEnders about reports of Palmer's return, but a spokesperson declined to comment at this time.
Palmer was last on-screen over the summer for a limited stay when Bianca arrived in the Square for Whitney's wedding – and stuck around briefly after Whit and Callum (Tony Clay) called off the nuptials.
Bianca's departure coincided with Leo's arrival, as it was revealed that he had been tormenting her prior to Bianca returning to Walford.
It was only after Bianca returned to Milton Keynes that Leo revealed that he was actually the son of Whitney's long-dead abuser Tony King – thus beginning months of Leo stalking Whit in the lead-up to her killing him last week.
EastEnders has confirmed that Whitney will be behind bars for the time being, until she learns her fate in a dramatic full-hour episode to air in March.
All of these various strings converging with Bianca's return would actually make sense, considering BBC head of continuing drama Kate Oates confirmed last year that Patsy Palmer being back was part of a year-long arc.
"We talked about it and we decided that the whole point of it was that it's great to bring a name back, but only if it's part of the story," the producer explained.
"We didn't want to have that thing of: 'Yay it's Bianca! Bye then'. So we talked about it for a long time and having a story that propels after she's gone."
Palmer was most recently on screens when she competed on The Masked Singer (for one episode) as the Butterfly.
