I think the confrontation now is about Sally and Tyrone sleeping together! lol ha. this is gonna be awesome! Plus I really do hope that Tyrone turns out to the father of the baby, I know they did a DNA test, but Kevin did it himself it's hardly reliable. The baby looks like Tyrone, he's soo chubby lol

2011 gets off to a bad start for Coronation Street's Becky McDonald as she finds herself arrested for the shocking New Year's Eve attack on Tracy Barlow.

As displayed in our picture preview earlier this week, Tracy will be brutally assaulted by an unknown assailant as 2010 draws to a close, causing mystery and suspicion on the cobbles as everyone speculates about who could have been responsible.

When she regains consciousness after being hit over the head and left for dead in the Barlows' back yard, Tracy wastes little time before pointing the finger at Becky following their previous acrimony.

Becky insists that she's innocent, but after spending a night in the cells, will she be charged with GBH? Or will the police start looking elsewhere?

With Steve, Nick and David also on the list of possible culprits, it's clear that cracking this particular case could prove a difficult task…

3rd Jan
As Tracy lies unconscious in hospital, the police start to question the residents about her assault. Steve hopes he'll be able to look after Amy but Deirdre makes it clear she thinks he's responsible for the attack.

Later, the police question Steve, wanting to know why he handed custody of Amy over to Tracy without a fight. Unable to tell them the truth, Steve looks very suspicious. Over at the Platt household, Gail and David realise they're both short of an alibi and agree to lie by saying they were together when Tracy was attacked.

Meanwhile, Sian and Sophie wake after a night of passion, happy to have finally consummated their relationship. But Sally's day goes from bad to worse - first she fails to persuade Rosie to move back home, then she walks into Sophie's bedroom and is shocked to find the girls in bed together.

Elsewhere, Gary apologises to Anna and Izzy, and Audrey's horrified to discover that Claudia's thinking of opening a salon in the butchers' shop premises.

Sally drags Sophie and Sian downstairs, and after she loses her rag, the girls end up taking refuge at Number 11. Rosie, Jason and Sean are sympathetic, while Eileen attempts to talk to Sally - but will she be able to get through to her?

Drained, Sally persuades Tyrone to come back for his tea. They sympathise with each other over recent events, but as they say goodnight, their kiss turns into passion.

Meanwhile, Steve protests his innocence to the police but they remain suspicious. Detectives also question Gail, David and Nick about the attack on Tracy.

Elsewhere, Owen offers Gary some work at the yard, but later finds out that Gary and his daughter are an item; John and Fiz bump into Joy Fishwick at the hospital and she explains that she's dying of chronic heart failure; ad Sophie tells Sian that she's starting to lose her faith in God as a result of all the awful things that have happened recently.

6th Jan

It's early morning and Tyrone slips out of Number 4, but unbeknown to him, he's spotted by Kevin. At the garage, Kevin explains that he's back for good and asks questions about Sally.

Sophie's thrilled to see her dad back on the street, but when he spots Sally leaving Tyrone's via the ginnel, he accuses them of having an affair. In front of Eileen, Sean and Rosie, how will Sally react?

Meanwhile, Gary starts working for Owen but when Jason accidentally locks him in the van, he's reminded of the terrible day in Iraq and panics. Owen lets Gary out, but as he tries to explain it was an accident, Gary loses all control and goes for Owen.

Elsewhere, the police question Becky over her row with Tracy, and John visits Joy Fishwick and lies that he's been in touch with Colin but he's now moved and the phone signal is terrible.

7th Jan

Rosie and Sophie are outraged as Kevin rows with Sally, accusing her of sleeping with Tyrone as an act of revenge. Enjoying Kevin's tantrum, Sally retorts that she no longer has to answer to him.

Tearing across the street, Kevin lays into Tyrone. Sally feels guilty for letting Tyrone take a beating and admits to the girls that they went no further than kissing but enjoyed winding Kevin up. Her plan backfires, though, when an incensed Kevin takes matters into his own hands.

Meanwhile, Ken, Deirdre and Amy visit Tracy in hospital as she wakes up. The police arrive at Tracy's bedside and she confirms she has a clear memory of New Year's Eve. Who was responsible for her attack?

Elsewhere, Owen tries to split up Gary and Izzy, and John pays another visit to Joy Fishwick.

Becky swears to Steve that she didn't attack Tracy. He believes her and she calmly lets the police take her away. Becky assures the police that Tracy's lying, but she's perturbed when their line of questioning turns to Max and Amy.

Ken asks Tracy if she's telling the truth about Becky attacking her. Deirdre and Tracy are outraged by his lack of faith, but Ken's doubts remain. Will the police share his doubts or will Becky be held?

Meanwhile, Sally's shocked as Kevin makes it clear that he's prepared to fight dirty in order to be able to provide for Jack. But when Sally admits she never slept with Tyrone, Kevin's taken aback. He hints that they could start again as a family, but is that what Sally really wants?

Elsewhere, Audrey meets charming widower Marc; John gives Joy his own mobile number, telling her that she can use it to leave a message for Colin; Anna begs Gary to confide in her over recent events; and Claudia asks Audrey to consider selling her the hairdressers.
