27th Dec

Andy is furious with Diane when she warns Katie that she should never have led Andy on. Later, Katie admits that someone has been calling in the middle of the night and hanging up.

As the day continues, Andy turns up at The Woolpack asking for a word with Katie. Tired of his obsessing, she tells him to leave it and Chas angrily suggests he get the message.

Meanwhile, Hazel and Jackson try to get used to life together in Dale Head and tempers flare from their frustration. Hazel confides to Paddy that she's terrified of hurting him unintentionally.

Elsewhere, Amy is upset to learn her departure is still on the cards; Alicia refuses to let Justin see Jacob when he turns up in the village unexpectedly; Scarlett decides to buy a place of her own and asks Adam to move in with her; and Pollard uneasily shoves a card from 'Elizabeth' out of sight.

Dec 28th

Katie and Gennie enjoy a night out in Hotten, but they're horrified when they return to discover they've been burgled. The police are taking their time arriving so Gennie convinces Katie to call Henshall.

Upon further inspection, they realise not much has been taken but are shocked at the way in which the house has been trashed. Henshall comforts them but admits he is worried that someone is out to get the girls.

Meanwhile, Amy is left wondering what Pollard is up to when she hands him a letter from 'Elizabeth' and questions if she's his fancy woman.

Elsewhere, Leyla tries to convince Alicia to seek legal advice instead of ignoring Justin, and Jackson struggles to come to terms with his new life in the village.

Dec 29th

Amy follows Pollard to the cemetery as he prepares to meet 'Elizabeth'. Looking at his ex-wife's headstone, he is eager to know who's behind all this. When he arrives back at the B&B, Amy falters that Elizabeth didn't show and when Pollard realises she's followed him, he angrily accuses her of being behind it all.

Genuinely upset, Amy denies his accusation and accuses Pollard of having an affair. But she's stumped when he reveals 'Elizabeth' is his dead wife and they are curious to know who's behind the mischief.

Meanwhile, Henshall visits the girls to make sure they're okay, but Katie is awkward over his kindness. Gennie mentions that Andy could have been behind this, but Katie snaps at her. However, it's clear it's crossed her mind too. Later, Gennie's suspicions are further ignited when Ryan tells her that Andy was out somewhere so he wouldn't have seen anything.

Elsewhere, Viv finds it hard seeing Hazel and Bob so matey when Bob arrives late to pick up the twins, and Diane seems jealous when Laurel suggests that Doug has a new fancy woman.

Dec 30th 1900

As the village remembers the plane crash, Pollard seems to be taking the anniversary of his wife's death particularly hard. However, when he finds another sign from 'Elizabeth', he's taken aback and angrily insists that it's Amy who's haunting him.

Later, when Pollard visits Elizabeth's grave and puts some flowers down, a cold voice from behind startles him. Michael stands there as Pollard accuses him of sending the flowers. Michael coolly insists that it wouldn't be his mother, would it? He goes on to declare that Elizabeth is dead and Pollard was the one who killed her.

Meanwhile, Gennie is convinced that Andy stole Katie's belongings and trashed the house. Determined, she visits Henshall and confides her fears. He convinces her that there is no evidence, but they both have Katie's best interests at heart so he will look out for her. Later, in the pub, Gennie worries so Chas decides there's no harm in asking Andy outright.

Elsewhere, Ella and Declan disagree on how to spend New Year's Eve; Mia tells Adam to dump Scarlett if she's making him miserable; Zak is pleased when Derek gives him a business tip-off; Viv and Terry share a moment as he tries to convince her to go out dancing; and Dermot tries to cheer Mia up.

Dec 30th 2000

Pollard tries to get away as Michael insists they both know the truth. However, it's clear this business isn't finished. Later, Michael appears in the B&B and introduces himself before relaying that Pollard killed his mother. Val quickly shows him the door, but it's clear she wants answers from Pollard.

Pollard explains that Michael wants money, and Val is flabbergasted to see that Pollard is seriously thinking about paying him off. But he tells her to stay out of it - he'll deal with this his way.

Meanwhile, intent on cheering Mia up, Dermot gets her to dig the flowers beds up at Home Farm - sure that vegetable patches are better. At the same time, Declan is annoyed as Ella continues to arrange a New Year's Eve party that he doesn't want. Ella accuses Declan of overreacting and Declan struggles to resist her charms.

Meanwhile, Henshall defends Andy when Chas publicly accuses him of the phone calls and break-in; Adam's unenthusiastic as he heads to a viewing with Scarlett; Terry can't help feel awkward as he shares another moment of closeness with Viv; and Katie wants another date with Henshall.

Dec 31st

Declan feigns indifference as Ella emerges looking stunning on New Year's Eve. The family head to the pub, and as soon as they get there Declan peels off to join the girls. Meanwhile, Mia flirts with Adam and wonders if he's a free man yet. When Scarlett arrives, Adam can't help but steal a few looks at Mia. He joins her at the bar but is shocked when she grabs him and pulls him in for a passionate kiss.

After watching the surprise moment, Scarlett marches over and chastises Mia. An almighty row breaks out between Scarlett and Adam with various family members in tow. At the same time, Declan takes the bull by the horns and leads Ella home for a private party.

Meanwhile, seeing Michael in the village, Pollard pulls over and coolly asks him to get in. Driving to remote countryside, Pollard tells him to get out and brandishes a tyre iron. Back in the village, Val is suspicious as she questions Turner about what he knows. He reveals there was a lot of scandal surrounding Pollard and the weeks leading up to Elizabeth's death. She questions if he thinks Pollard killed her, but he warily insists she should be talking to Eric.

Val then heads straight to the B&B and finds a rattled Pollard - he insists that he paid Michael off. Suspecting he's lying, Val pushes him to tell her the truth. Unconvinced by his response she packs her bags and strides out…

Elsewhere, Jackson is positive after his hospital appointment and insists on going to the New Year karaoke party at The Woolpack. However, when he has to keep asking his mum for a drink, it's clear he's getting agitated. He apologises for his behaviour but insists that Hazel gets some help with his care.

Also, Derek makes regular glances towards Lisa at the party.

Declan Macey will finally realise he does not want to let Ella go.

Declan, got his estranged wife to help him secure the Home Farm estate from Nathan Wylde. However, Ella refused to leave and stayed on in the village with their daughter.

"Despite the sparks she and Declan love each other and realise they're good together, "It seems such a waste to let this go."

Addressing their previous split, the actress revealed that the couple "simply drifted apart" because of their "respective business interests".

She continued: "But the chemistry between them hasn't changed. Ella feels they're better together than apart. On New Year's Eve she makes sure she looks gorgeous. They go to The Woolpack for drinks and, sure enough, before long Declan leads Ella home for their own private party."

"Next morning they're back to arguing and Ella suggests she should move on. But after sleeping on it, Declan admits he can't bear to lose her all over again and he wants her to stay," she added.
