Christmas in Walford is all about Stacey’s exit – and you won’t be disappointed! After Ryan’s life’s left hanging in the balance when jealous Janine tries to poison him, he narrowly escapes death for the second time when she then tries to cut off his oxygen supply in hospital. Making it back to the Square relatively unscathed, Ryan hotfoots it over to Stacey’s to declare his undying love. But their happiness doesn’t last long when they announce they’re a couple in the middle of a packed Vic – only for Janine to walk in as they share a kiss! Determined to get revenge, Janine joins forces with an unlikely source… but what revelation could be so bad that it forces Stacey to leave the Square forever? Is her murderous secret about to be exposed?

Also, Glenda is pushed down the stairs by a mysterious male and Bianca’s arrested on Christmas Eve – will she make it back for the Butchers’ turkey dinner?

Great yeh Janine must join forces with Lauren, thats brill! lol. As much as I like Stacey, it would be a brill exit for her to be forced out by Janine. I want Janine back with Ryan. Stacey is wayy too soft at the moment. Still that scene on the car was pretty passionate tonight.
Don't know how Bianca could be arrested, likely something to do with her interference in Connor's affairs.

Janine's shocking behaviour takes another sinister twist in EastEnders later this month as she remains hell-bent on making Ryan pay for his affair with Stacey.

As Ryan lies in hospital after being poisoned by his twisted wife, Janine can't help but notice how he's relying on a ventilator to breathe.

Soon afterwards, a doctor reports that Ryan has high levels of sedatives in his blood - prompting Janine to nervously ask whether he'll remember what happened when he wakes up.

Left alone with her husband once again, Janine toys with Ryan's oxygen tube before squeezing it tight. Will Janine kill Ryan?

The three months that Janine and Ryan have been married are what an X Factor contestant would call "a roller-coaster ride".

And then some...

The poor man has already had two brushes with death. First, there was that time when Janine kidnapped baby Lily and they were stuck on a level-crossing with a train thundering towards them.

Then there was the night she decided to lock him in the Vic's walk-in freezer to try and cool his ardour towards Stacey.
But beginning a secret affair with Stacey was always going to end in the back of a hearse and he should never under-estimate the wrath of a woman scorned.

For if Janine could send first husband Bumbling Barry Evans tumbling off the side of a Scottish mountain to his death for just being, well, Barry, then what chance does Ryan stand after his wife finds out about him and Stacey?

Exactly. None.

http://blogs.mirror.co.uk/we-love-telly/ENDERS-POISONER-DROP-IN-3.jpg

Crushing up a handful of tablets and force-feeding him them in orange juice leaves him flat on his back hallucinating and with such a fever he could heat up all the houses in Walford.

"He's got 'flu," Janine insists to a suspicious Pat.

But by Friday, Ryan has completely flipped as he drifts in and out of consciousness and deliriously mutters, "I love you Stacey..."

"Thank you for looking after me," he feebly tells the wicked black widow. "In sickness and in health."

"Until death us do part," Janine adds with a scowl.

Unfortunately, Stacey is unaware of his suffering when she angrily pops round to his flat. "Why don't you drop dead?" she shouts through the letter box.

At this rate, he just might.

Janine comes clean with Ryan
Airs on Monday, December 20 2010 20:00 GMT on BBC One

In Ryan's hospital room, Janine hovers over his face, watching him relying on the ventilator to breathe. The doctor explains to Janine that there are high levels of sedatives in Ryan's blood and she nervously asks if her husband will remember what happened before his collapse. With the doctor out of earshot, Janine tells a worried Whitney that Ryan is recovering from pneumonia and she should get back to the stall. Back on the Square, Stacey attempts to hide her concern over Ryan's welfare, however Kat insists they go to the hospital together. As they approach his room, Stacey hesitates when she sees Janine and they decide to leave. Stacey explains to Kat that although she might love Ryan, she does not need all the stress that comes with it.

Back at the market, Whitney tells an intrigued Pat about Ryan and aware of how Janine has been behaving recently, Pat heads straight to the hospital. By his bedside, a scheming Janine toys with Ryan's oxygen tube and as her knuckles slowly turn white from squeezing it tight, she is suddenly startled by the arrival of Pat. Shocked at what she was about to do, Janine collapses in Pat's arms, admitting she tried to murder him with sedatives and when that failed to work, tried to suffocate him. Ryan shortly awakes and Pat is horrified when Janine quickly admits to her husband she tried to kill him with an overdose.

Meanwhile, Peter reluctantly agrees to help Ian at his stall, but his broken heart struggles as he works opposite Whitney. An argument ensues between the two men and Peter is stunned when Ian admits to an affair with Glenda. Will Peter have the guts to pass this revelation onto Jane?

Elsewhere, Bianca and Ricky struggle to afford a decent Christmas; Denise is stunned to find Jordan at home with his auntie Gloria - Lucas's sister - planning for Jordan to spend Christmas with her and his cousins; and Phil is enraged to discover that the stolen goods are being sold so close to home and confronts a terrified Connor.

Ryan and Stacey go public at the pub
Airs on Tuesday, December 21 2010 19:30 GMT on BBC One

After persuading Janine to go away following her shock confession, Pat tells Whitney that Janine is on holiday. However, Pat is stunned when she finds Janine at home. She warns her again that Ryan can go to the police at anytime, which would result in a prison sentence. As Janine prepares to do a runner, she is horrified to open her front door to police officers. Fortunately for her, the officers are just on door-to-door duty spreading the word on neighbourhood safety. Later, Janine discovers that Ryan has been discharged and decides to look for him. During her search, she has disagreements with Bianca and Phil and Janine scrapes her key along one of Phil's cars.

Janine eventually heads back to the flat and comes face-to-face with Ryan. The pair come to blows and Ryan apologises for his affair with Stacey. He tells Janine that he will always love her, but he needs some space to clear his head. A relieved Janine is treated by Pat to get her hair and nails done to look her best for when Ryan returns. Across the Square, Ryan arrives at the Slaters' and tells Stacey he was disappointed she didn't visit him in hospital. Ryan says that he desperately needs to talk to her, but Stacey dismisses him and he leaves. That night at The Vic, Ryan tells Stacey he has finished with Janine and as he declares his love for her, a glammed up Janine walks in to witness the pair celebrate with a kiss in the middle of the busy pub...

Meanwhile, at the Brannings', Max is irritated that Greg is coming to visit with Tanya, but Vanessa insists that she wants them to enjoy a happy family dinner. Vanessa's meal doesn't go down too well and Max uses this excuse to escape to the shop for an alternative. After an awkward afternoon together, the family decide to head to The Vic.

Elsewhere, Bianca comes up with a devious money-making plan which also gives her children an idea, and Denise crumbles when Jordan heads off to his auntie Gloria's for Christmas.

Janine discovers Stacey killed Archie
Airs on Thursday, December 23 2010 19:30 GMT on BBC One

Everyone is left shocked as Ryan and Stacey publicly declare their love for each other in The Vic. The Butchers and the Slaters all curse each other and argue on behalf of their family member, while Janine slips out unnoticed. The Butchers eventually manage to get Janine back to their house but she doesn't stay long, preferring to be on her own. Upstairs in The Vic, Ryan and Stacey struggle to digest what has happened but they are happy to finally be together. They later head over to see Jean to persuade her that being together is what they want. Meanwhile, Max is stunned as he watches the events unfold in The Vic and Lauren witnesses his uneasy reaction. She accuses her dad of reacting oddly when Ryan and Stacey kissed, but Max puts his feelings down to how quickly Stacey has moved on from Bradley.

Later, Max insists to Lauren that he is going to deliver his Christmas presents to Jim, but he changes his mind and heads to The Vic. Max confronts Stacey about her relationship with Ryan, but they are interrupted when Ryan arrives. Stacey pretends to Ryan that Max is there to wish them well. As Max leaves The Vic, Lauren spots him and to make matters worse, she sees Stacey follow him out. Feeling betrayed, Lauren sits alone wondering how she can get rid of Stacey. Seeing Janine heading home alone, Lauren realises what she needs to do. She visits Janine and hands her a mobile phone before leaving. Janine plays the media file on Lauren's phone and her face lights up when she hears Stacey confessing to killing Archie. Janine realises that all is not lost…

Meanwhile, Phil's not happy that Glenda doesn't seem to be giving up her pursuit of him as she posts an envelope through his door with her key inside. Later, Ian arrives at The Vic and goes to kiss Jane. When Glenda appears, she makes a catty remark to Jane, but Jane shrugs off the comment. However, Peter is furious with his dad for not standing up for Jane. When they are out of The Vic, Ian tries to convince Peter to stay quiet for Jane's sake. Fed up, Peter heads over to Glenda's and tells her to stay away from Ian. Glenda is stunned and presumes it was Peter who pushed her down the stairs. Unbeknown to Peter, as he is shouting at Glenda, Phil is on the doorstep and hears Glenda's accusations. What will Phil do with this information?

Elsewhere, Fatboy's fears about singing in the choir are made worse when it's announced that he will do the solo, and Denise's woes get worse when her bathroom starts flooding.

Janine prepares to reveal the truth
Airs on Friday, December 24 2010 20:00 BST on BBC One

Lying in bed, Ryan alleviates Stacey's fears about what people will be saying about them. Meanwhile, Janine has been awake all night replaying Stacey's confession. At the Brannings', Lauren admits to Max that she has given Janine the recording of Stacey confessing to Archie's murder. Max is livid as he thought he'd deleted it, but Lauren tells him that she kept a copy. Later, while Janine is out, Max breaks into her flat and searches for the phone, but Janine arrives home and catches him. She questions Max's motive for wanting to help Stacey.

Janine suggests that she and Max could work together to clear Bradley's name but Max leaves, telling Janine she can do what she wants and he doesn't care. Janine rushes to where she has hidden the phone, elated to see that Max did not find it. Having left the flat, Max tries to get in touch with Stacey but she doesn't hear her phone. In The Vic, everyone is full of Christmas cheer until Janine arrives all dolled up. Insisting that people should know the truth about Stacey, a gloating Janine holds Lauren's phone to play the recording. Stacey panics - what is she going to do?

Meanwhile, Phil and Shirley organise a Christmas gathering for the family, knowing it will be awkward for Ian and Glenda. While there, Glenda privately suggests that Phil should go back to hers later. However, Phil responds by saying that he knows about her and Ian. Glenda threatens to tell Shirley, but Phil gives a far more threatening response back. Getting everyone's attention, Phil asks Peter why he pushed Glenda down the stairs and everyone is shocked. Under pressure to protect his dad, Peter exclaims that Glenda deserves everything she got before rushing out. Later, Peter is fuming that Ian let him take the rap for everything. He packs a bag and leaves after handing Bobby a card for Jane. When Jane opens it, she bursts into tears - it just says, 'I'm sorry…'

Elsewhere, Bianca opens some perfume that the children have given her as a gift. She thanks Ricky for giving them the money, but it transpires that the kids must have stolen the gift. Later, as Bianca rushes out to the carol concert, two police officers arrive wanting to search the house. Frustrated, Bianca tries to show them that there is nothing to hide and starts moving furniture to prove her point, but she spots Connor's jewellery. Shocked, she covers it and admits to where the perfume is, but as the officer tries to calm her down, she pushes his arm and accidentally slaps him. As Ricky and the kids arrive home from the concert, they are shocked to see Bianca being taken away in a police car. Will Bianca make it back for Christmas?

Elsewhere, Ronnie is disappointed when she hears that Jack will be away for a while longer, nerves get the better of Fatboy as he prepares to do his choir solo; and Denise is horrified when she learns that Kim wants to open up a B&B at the house that Lucas had her locked up in.

I have a couple of questions to ask on Stacey and killing archie (Alan if you are reading you will probably be able to help here)
1) Can Stacey get away with this as diminished responsibility as she had bi-polar and was on medication, plus been raped by Archie added to her anxiety levels and
2) Can Lauren get done for withholding information? after all she got a confession but didn't pass on that information to authorities.. (Max also but nobody else knows that he does) ?

DETAILED SPOILERS 26th - 31st December

SUNDAY 26th DECEMBER

Kat heads over to the Minute Mart, where she immediately gets into a confrontation with Shirley over a jar of pickled beetroot. Kat cuts in ahead of Shirley to buy it and when Heather refuses to serve her under Shirley's stern instruction, Kat starts eating the jar's contents regardless and proceeds to hurl them at Shirley. Amongst the commotion, Kat suddenly collapses in pain when she feels the baby coming.

Heather drags Alfie out of the pub and brings him to his wife. Upon his arrival at the Minute Mart, Alfie is terrified when he sees Kat lying on the floor in a pool of red liquid. However, he is relieved to hear that it is merely beetroot juice. Slipping away from the drama, Shirley attempts to take the beetroot on the sly to Phil, but does not go unnoticed by a vicious Kat. Ronnie supports Kat through her contractions while Alfie dashes off in search of a car. Kat's contractions soon stop and she panics, but Shirley points out that it's a false alarm.

Meanwhile, Connor tears across the Square, with Phil unable to catch up with him. Later, Bianca guiltily interrupts Phil at work and explains what happened with the jewellery. Phil gives her two options - to get it back or pay him for it all. Bianca desperately argues she can't pay him and promises to help Phil track Connor down to make him pay. Back at the Brannings', Carol overhears Bianca assuring Whitney that she is safe and that Phil is after Connor rather than her. Bianca then manages to snatch Whitney's mobile from her coat, before making a fast exit.

Later, Connor turns up at Pat's and tells Bianca that he wants to see Whitney after receiving a text from her. As he steps into the doorway, Phil finally gets his hands on Connor, who Connor sees Whitney and accuses her of setting him up.

Elsewhere, Ronnie announces that she and Jack will call the baby James after Jim, leaving Dot delighted.

27th Dec

Ronnie visits Kat at The Vic, where Kat is feeling out of her depth as she doesn't know how to deal with Jean, who is distraught about losing Stacey. Eventually, Kat tells Jean that she needs her to stay with her and Alfie at the pub. As Jean settles in, Mo and Kat talk about Kat's false alarm while Jean tries to busy herself with the washing up.

Trying to keep it together, Jean disappears for a bath. Later, worried about Jean, Kat is horrified to find her fully clothed lying still under the water. As Kat pulls her out of the water, Jean is confused as she mistakes Kat for Stacey. Kat holds her tightly, as Jean stares into space…

Meanwhile, in The Arches, Connor tries to reason with Phil but he is more interested in teaching Connor a lesson. Just as Phil is about to go for him, Carol arrives threatening to call the police. Carol manages to get Connor out of The Arches and takes him back to Glenda's flat to clean him up. While this is going on, Bianca and Whitney argue about Connor. Whitney tries to defend him, but Bianca reminds her that it was Connor's gun that shot Jack and makes her promise to steer clear of him.

At Glenda's flat, Connor admits to Carol that he only spent time with Whitney to make her jealous. As they talk, it's clear that Connor is still smitten with Carol and she offers him the money to pay Phil, but he declines. Trying to look after him, Carol offers him a place to stay and it's not long before they are passionately kissing.

28th Dec

Still struggling following recent events, Jean hurls her 'mum' mug across the room, smashing it against a wall. Jean soon overhears Kat questioning Charlie about the regularity with which she takes her meds and explains how she nearly drowned herself. Jean tries to cover by entering in an overly cheery mood. Later, while they are cooking, Jean absentmindedly burns her 'sausage surprise' and when Kat goes to empty the pan in the bin, she finds the smashed mug. Jean claims that she is fine when Kat tries to talk to her, but she later brings down a large bag of Stacey's clothes to dispose of.

Later, Ronnie obligingly accepts Jean's second hand baby clothes to appease her, seeing that she is in an unstable state. When Jean suddenly becomes angry, Ronnie attempts to talk her round, saying that she should not throw away her memories. Jean tells Ronnie that since finding out what Stacey did, her pills do not ease her pain. Jean then comes to the conclusion that she should self-section herself. When they meet again later in the day, Jean thanks Ronnie for her help and informs her that her baby is coming tomorrow. When the Slaters hear about Jean's decision, they plead with her to stay just as her car is pulling away. With Jean gone, Ronnie is left thinking about her premonition over the baby.

Meanwhile, at Carol and Glenda's flat, Carol picks up a wad of cash from the table and stuffs it into an envelope, before Connor comes out of the bedroom and heads off to the shower. Glenda then returns home early, picks up the post - including Carol's money - and leaves again. When Connor comes out, Carol's a wreck over the missing money and Connor thinks she's accusing him of stealing it. As the day continues, Carol is relieved to discover from Glenda that the missing money was only a mix-up and she heads over to The Arches, as Connor has just been hired by Phil to work there. When she apologises to him, he reluctantly accepts. Later, the pair spend more time together at the flat and they passionately kiss by the door. At that moment, however, Tiffany drops by to post a card through the door and is shocked to see her grandmother and Connor through the letterbox in a compromising position…

Elsewhere, Edward rudely knocks back Dot's offer of advice on how to best collect money for charity; Ronnie and Kat discuss the drama that awaits them as future mothers; Big Mo takes bets on Alfie and Kat's baby name; Bianca is furious to discover that Whitney and Carol still care for Connor when she is facing prison; Kat has another false alarm; and it seems that Dot may have found the company she craves when Edward apologises to her and they start bonding.

30th Dec

Ronnie realises that her baby is coming and calmly makes her way to the hospital alone via the Tube. While travelling, she sees Heather, who is oblivious that she is in labour until Ronnie tells her. Later, Heather sees Glenda and Roxy having a drink at The Vic and excitedly mentions that she saw Ronnie on her way to the hospital in labour. Unfazed by hearing about Ronnie, Glenda is left on her own in the pub, while Roxy rushes to be with her sister. When Roxy arrives at the hospital, Ronnie makes it clear that Roxy is not welcome. However, it's not long before Ronnie's son is born and all is forgiven between the two sisters. Jack, meanwhile, has not made it to the hospital in time.

Dot and Max visit Ronnie to offer their congratulations. On their way out, Glenda arrives and Dot advises her that Ronnie needs her rest. Glenda tries to dismiss this, but Roxy tells her mother to come back another day. Roxy then receives a phone call from Jack, who wants to talk to Ronnie. He explains that he is still in Dubai, but will be home very soon. Ronnie is elated as she lies with her sister and newborn son.

Meanwhile, Mo and Alfie are getting agitated with Kat's 'painful contractions', which Mo thinks are exaggerated. Charlie is not so sure and sympathises, only to realise that Kat just wants some attention! Later, Kat goes into labour for real as her waters break, but she is in the barrel store and no-one can hear her scream at first. Eventually, Alfie, Mo and Charlie rush to be with her. She is too far gone to get to hospital, so Mo is forced to deliver the baby. After a tense time, Kat gives birth to a baby boy and everyone cheers from behind the bar.

Elsewhere, Tiffany secretly scribbles out Carol's face from some of the family photos at home. At The Arches, Whitney tries to convince Connor that it was not her that set him up and invites him out for New Year. He doesn't seem overly excited at first but eventually makes plans to see Whitney again. Later, an excited Whitney tells Tiffany her good news - but with what she saw yesterday, Tiffany doesn't know what to do. Meanwhile, Carol decides to surprise Connor with a romantic picnic meal on the floor of the bookies.

31st Dec

Ronnie steps out of a cab on the Square, delighted with her new baby. At the same time, Alfie proudly strolls through the market, receiving continuous congratulations. When Ronnie approaches with baby James, both new parents look forward fondly to their two boys growing up together. Back at The Vic, Alfie goes up to Kat, who has been suffering from shooting pains. She mistakenly tells Alfie she has wet herself but they are shocked to discover she has been bleeding heavily. The Slaters panic as Alfie rushes Kat back to hospital, leaving Charlie to look after baby Tommy. Alfie is desperately worried for Kat as the nurses take her away and prays for her to be okay. The doctors emerge to say some of the placenta was left inside Kat and she is very weak and needs to stay in. Kat says that she wants Tommy brought to her, so Alfie heads off home.

Heather joins Shirley, Christian and Roxy, who are all deflated by Kat's news. Fatboy proudly tells Big Mo he has sold loads of tickets for the New Year party, but she warns him that the celebration might be off. However, when she hears from Alfie that the situation isn't serious, Mo wastes no time in getting the New Year's party started and everyone starts to celebrate. Feeling as though he is missing out on a good night, Charlie leaves Tommy alone when he goes downstairs to join in the fun.

Meanwhile, in Jack's flat, Ronnie goes to check on James and she is shocked to find his fingers are blue and he is not breathing. Desperate, she wraps him a blanket and frantically tries to warm him up. She knows deep down that he won't wake up, but she still desperately seeks help. Cradling James, she goes to the neighbours' houses, but no-one responds and her cries for help are drowned out by the party in The Vic. She then heads over to the pub in a state of complete and utter hysteria. As she makes her way through the back door, she suddenly hears baby Tommy crying upstairs and is drawn upstairs. As the countdown to New Year comes close, a desperate Ronnie peers into Tommy's cot saying "that's my boy"…

Elsewhere, Tiffany wets the bed and heads off to the launderette to make sure nobody finds out; Kim tries to make a move on Greg but Tanya fiercely pushes her off him; Jane is delighted that Bobby now calls her "mum"; Carol babysits for Bianca's kids but Tiffany is upset by the sight of her and runs upstairs; Christian eyes up the piper at the New Year's Eve party; Connor tries to tell Whitney that he just wants to be friends before heading over to spend time with Carol; Zainab is sympathetic to Denise when Jordan doesn't show up; Kim drunkenly turns her attentions to Fatboy; Tanya tells Jane that she only returns to the Square to see the kids and not for Max; Mercy kisses Fatboy to put Kim off but it lasts a little longer than expected; and Christian shares a kiss with the piper in a corner but soon guiltily pulls away.

1) Probably not
2) Yes

tonight's episode of EastEnders sees Janine lie fighting for her life in hospital after stabbing herself in a bid to frame Stacey on Christmas Day.

Unaware of the true circumstances surrounding her injuries, Pat and Ricky wait by Janine's bedside and desperately hope for good news from the doctors.

Later, Pat confronts Ryan in the Queen Vic - delivering a hard blow and shouting at him over everything that has happened.

How would Pat react if she found out the truth about Janine's festive showdown with Stacey? And with Ryan knowing the full extent of his wife's twisted behaviour, could he resort to desperate measures to get her out of his life for good?

HERE’S the first photo of Janine Malloy in hospital, fighting for life after stabbing herself on Christmas Day.

The deranged babe, who wanted to frame love rival Stacey Branning, has no idea husband Ryan knows the truth.

And after everything she’s put him through, Walford watchers will be left wondering if the hunk will finish the job off for her.

In tonight’s gripping scenes, Janine’s step-mum Pat and brother Ricky keep a vigil. But the pair may not be quite so concerned if they find out the truth about what really happened to her.

An EastEnders insider said: “Ryan knows just how far Janine is prepared to go to keep him in her life and he thinks she’s completely crazy.

“He lost Stacey and his baby because of her and he hates her. She felt no qualms about trying to kill him, so fans wouldn’t blame him for wanting her out of his life forever.

“Pat and Ricky have no idea that Janine stabbed herself.

“As far as they’re concerned it was Stacey and they are desperate for her to pull through.

“It’s touch and go as to whether she will. But Ryan may well decide he doesn’t want her to – and he will have every opportunity to kill her off. It’s going to be a very interesting few days for all involved.

“Janine showed just how much of a mentalist she really is by stabbing herself. So even if she does pull through, it’s going to take her a while to come to terms with everything that has happened.”

Fans of the hit Albert Square soap will be able to watch all the drama unfold tonight on BBC1 from 8.30pm.
