Oh yeah he did!! I couldn't be happier and I think one other person on the forum feels the same.. Hey Kath.. did you see it?? :cheer::cheer::cheer:

I have no fingers left and I had to change after the race I was sweating that much.. I can only imagine what Sebastian was feeling...

To Alonso, for his end of race gestures to Petrov :moonie::moonie::moonie: Not everyone should get out of your way.. you can bully Massa but not the entire field

Alonso, Vettel is better than you, do you understand???? :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh Shiv I was greeting with joy. I couldn't believe it every lap I was yelling come on son, and when his engineer told him over the radio he had won I was jumping up and down, while sticking two fingers up to Alonso. A big thank you to Renault for blocking him out. How I laughed when he was waving his fists at Petrov at the end of the race. It's just a shame we couldn't get shumey on the podium but after the smash I'm just glad he's unhurt. But the day belonged to Seb he was just fooking brilliant.:cheer::cheer::cheer:

The head of motor vehicle doesn't like Vettel and we're were arguing about it on Friday because I said that Vettel was going to win. I got him today singing "told YA, told YA"

I'm cheesing like. All the guys thought Webber or Alsono were going to do it, but I said all year that Vettel would win it, but what does a female know. How smug do I feel today. :D

A well deserved win by Vettell. Glad to see Alonso doing so badly. Nice for Lewis to finish 2nd in yesterdays race. Felt sorry for poor Webber. He worked his socks off all year.

This has been one of the best seasons in F1 for a long time. The new points system has been a breath of fresh air. Roll on next season

Yesterday was certainly a just deserts day for Alonso it serves him right for his and Ferrari's treatment of Massa this year. Can't wait until F1 is back.

I don't think Webber was even at the race yesterday... on at least 3 occasions Alonso when off the track, through frustration more than anything, and Webber should have been right up behind him to take that advantage and he wasn't.. There is speculation that Red Bull used Webber to let Vettel win by pitting him earlier and getting Ferrari to respond.. but Webber bashed his left wheel of the barrier and had to change at that point.
Mind you, they are saying Schumacher crash was to help Vettel too as without it the cars in front of Alonso wouldn't have been able to change tyres so effectively.. sour grapes all round but I know myself and Kath were behind Vettel all the way...

Without the error in qualification in Singapore and the blown engine in Korea, Vettel would have had 6 back to back 1st places... now that is a deserving winner..he took the problem from Turkey and worked after that to get the job done..

Well said Shiv. Vettel won fair and square he deserves to be champion. Alonso just wasn't good enough on the day.

I was glad he was so far ahead.. it pokes a finger in the eye to those who said he should have let Webber through last week in Brazil and he didn't have to move over for him either.. He is such a young guy but also is very well liked.. He came on Sunday smiling and enjoying himself where Webber and Alonso were very serious (ok they had a champion to think about)... I was suprised that the pressure got to them two more than it did Vettel..

Have you ever heard such emotion.. I cried with him.. Brundle's "get real" comment to Alonso is a classic

I was watching it again last night. Loved it. How can people say Seb is arrogant. There was nothing arrogant about him on Sunday that was pure raw emotion.

Anyone want to go and work for "Red Bull"

Red Bull workers get their wings

The long queue of Red Bull employees snaking its way from Red Bull’s main factory in Milton Keynes to the car assembly plant opposite had good reason to be wearing huge grins. Not only had their team just won the drivers’ and constructors’ championships, but they were all pocketing win bonuses.

It is understood that Red Bull are paying each and every member of staff — roughly 550 people — £10,000 for their constructors’ victory.

Although team principal Christian Horner would not be drawn on the exact figure, he admitted it was a sizeable dent in the money the team receives from Bernie Ecclestone’s Formula One Management company.

“I had a load of texts after Brazil saying ‘Thanks for the new kitchen’,” he joked.

I am so there... I would love to work in F1..I would even be the lollipop man or just one of those girls that holds the flags at the start of a GP

I'd settle for being responsible for filling the water bottles and making the engineers cups of tea.

Cutest thing I have seen.. Sebastian Vettel (aged 10) talks about meeting Michael Schumacher and getting him to sign his 1st place trophy (in German) but you can get the gist of it and how happy he is

Aw what a gorgeous wee boy he was. He is just adorable. How's this for a dreamteam Vettel and Schumacher together:

Vettel dreams of a Ferrari or Merc drive

New F1 Champ Sebastian Vettel says he still has a long road to travel to be mentioned in the same breath as seven-time titleholder Michael Schumacher.

Last Sunday, Vettel became at 23 the youngest ever driver to claim the F1 crown to add further weight to the claims by his fans that he is the next Schumacher.

But 'Baby-Schumi' as Vettel is known, told the Bild newspaper: "I don't compare his career and his life with mine, he's a legend and I'm only at the start."

The Red Bull driver added that he was now intent on defending his title with his team in 2011.

"We have in this team something decisive for success in F1 - good people in the right jobs."

While a Red Bull man through and through for now Vettel spoke about the lure of an eventual move to Ferrari or Mercedes.

"Ferrari and Mercedes represent the history, the present and certainly the future of Formula One. Every driver dreams of Ferrari or Mercedes.

"But to drive for these teams depends on a number of factors, everything has to fall into place, to be a myth isn't sufficient. But all that is a long way off for me...

"Next, I will defend the title with Red Bull. We have something that in F1 is crucial for success: the right people in the right place."

Vettel won Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to clinch the 2010 World championship by four points from Ferrari's Fernando Alonso.

Dear Formula One Fans,

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We had a truly fantastic season - even though it was a long and at times a pretty tough one for me: a rollercoaster ride with a very happy ending!

I know that many of you crossed your fingers for me every race weekend - and I honestly wish that this support will go on forever!

I am already looking forward to 2011 - again with all of you at my side!

Sebastian Vettel

And we will be by his side, virtually anyway on the edge of our seats when the new season starts.

Oh this is just not on at all:

Bernie Ecclestone reckons world champion Sebastian Vettel would make the perfect son-in-law saying: "He's funny, normal, he has his goals and is working hard to reach them." The only catch is neither Vettel or Ecclestone's daughters Petra and Tamara are single.

Back off Bernie!!!

Now don't be so harsh Shiv think about this. Bernie's a rich man he could adopt more daughters. I'm offically an orphan he could adopt me and I could grant him his wish to have Seb as a son-in-law.

Siobhan
28-01-2011, 12:56
Well seen as you put it that way... How do you contact the old goat anyway?? (word of warning, he does like his own girlfriends/wives to be young so he may just adopt you as one of them instead)

Chloe O'brien
28-01-2011, 12:59
Well money's tight, and I've got a kid to feed. Every cloud has a sliver linning and all that. If letting Bernie have his wicked way with me is going to get me near Seb and Michael. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta doo.
