Ian has an angry confrontation with Masood in EastEnders next month after discovering that he and Jane almost had a night of passion in a hotel room.

The drama kicks off after Masood and Jane's respective marriages hit rocky patches, causing them to seek support from each other as they head away from the Square for some time alone.

At a hotel, the pair look set to give into temptation - but they ultimately decide that they cannot go through with it and instead end up speaking candidly about their troubled relationships.

After Masood and Jane head back to Walford, Zainab and Ian are none the wiser about what has happened - but Jane soon blurts out everything to her husband, adding that she doesn't love him anymore.

However, against all the odds, Ian manages to convince Jane to give him another chance after they talk properly about their relationship and Lucy's abortion.

Despite it looking like things are back on track, Ian is silently seething about Masood and, as soon as he gets a chance, he pays him a visit to make his anger known. Will Masood live to regret his encounter with Jane?

Mon 29th

The situation between Jane and Ian remains strained, and things are not going well between Zainab and Masood either. Masood is fed up with not being respected and Tamwar is annoyed because his mother is using him as her excuse for wanting to buy the restaurant. Back at The Vic, Jane hands the kitchen over to Christian and when he realises she is going off with another man, he's supportive over her turmoil. Masood and Jane drive to a hotel and head to the bar, where they talk about their marriage problems and go on to share a passionate kiss. The pair then go up to a hotel room and start to get intimate.

Neither of their hearts are truly in it, however, and when Masood sees eleven missed calls from Zainab, he tells Jane that he loves his wife. Ultimately, he and Jane stop themselves from sleeping with each other and agree to stay as friends. Unaware of their partners' actions, Zainab and Ian are in the café, where they find out that Zainab has won the bidding war for the Argee Bhajee.

Meanwhile, Kat picks up Stacey and Lily's passports and takes Ryan with her to Stacey's hotel. Even though Stacey likes seeing Ryan with Lily again, she desperately tries to get him to leave. Kat tells Ryan that he can come back when things have calmed down, but while he isn't looking, she gives an astonished Stacey the passports and a contact in Palma. As Kat and Ryan return to the Square, it shows on Kat's face that Stacey is not coming back. Ryan ultimately drives back to the hotel and catches Stacey just in time, telling Stacey that he'll take them to the airport. However, instead he drives them to an abandoned car park, where things soon get steamy between Stacey and Ryan.

Elsewhere, a lonely Dot makes friends with Julie and stands up for her when Mo makes some snide comments.

Tues 30th

Following their passion in the abandoned car park, Ryan thinks Stacey will stay in Walford but she's determined to leave for Majorca. In The Vic, Jean tells Kat that she's spoken to Little Mo and knows that Kat has been lying about Stacey's whereabouts. Kat reassures her that Stacey will be fine but Jean's worry is aggravated by Janine, who suggests she calls the hospitals. Kat tells her to be quiet and sends her home, but the damage has already been done. Jean wants to go to the police, but Kat stops her and later says that she has spoken to Stacey who is in Majorca.

However, Stacey has made the decision not to leave the Square. She finds Lauren and drags her home, where she tells her to leave her alone for good or she'll give herself in to the police because she refuses to look over her shoulder for the rest of her life. Meanwhile, Ryan returns home to confront Janine about locking him in The Vic's fridge, but they end up in bed and he is emotionally torn. Janine is happy to have Ryan back and they head to The Vic to celebrate. However, when Janine is in the toilets, Stacey walks in, surprising everyone.

Meanwhile, Christian is busy serving food at The Vic when Syed, who has returned from Leeds with his massage certificate, surprises him. Christian has a present for him - a traditional white medical jacket for Syed's new career. The pair are happy to be reunited, but the fun ends when Masood and Jane enter. Christian tells Jane that Ian has been looking for her and Kat tells Masood that Zainab has manically been looking for him. Masood goes to find his wife. Christian realises that Masood is the man Jane has spent her day with, but she refuses to talk about it and Syed finds the hotel key that Jane has left behind, arousing his suspicions.

Jane returns home to tell Ian that she is leaving him and tells him the truth about Masood, however they eventually talk things through and Jane agrees to stay. At the same time, Masood finds Zainab at the Argee Bhajee, and overcome with guilt, he signs the paperwork for the restaurant even though Zainab offers to back out. Later, Masood throws Tamwar the keys to the restaurant and tells him it is his to run.

Elsewhere, Dot's feelings of loneliness become stronger after Heather cancels plans for her to look after George.

Thurs Dec 2nd

Jane tells Masood that Ian knows about what went on between them. A paranoid Masood then does everything he can to get Zainab out of the way, and she finally agrees to go to town and spend the night at Bushra's. Later, Ian knocks on Masood's door to tell him what he really thinks and ends up punching him. Masood tries to convince Ian that nothing really happened between him and Jane in the hotel room.

Meanwhile, Syed visits The Vic and reveals to Christian that he thinks his father is having an affair with Jane. Christian tries to cover for her, but Syed is not discouraged. He is also feeling sorry for Tamwar and encourages him to start standing up for himself at home. He later invites his brother and Afia over to give them a chance to make it work - and the plan is a success.

Tamwar and Afia head to the Argee Bhajee, where Afia builds a den for them to cuddle under. They decide to stand firm with Masood, but the plan goes terribly when Masood tells Tam off for defying him like Syed did. After being forbidden to see Afia again, Tamwar heads back to Syed's place to tell him off for interfering. Undeterred, Syed visits the family home to confront Masood, telling his father that if he doesn't let Tamwar do what he wants, he will tell Zainab about his affair with Jane. Masood tries to call his bluff and tells him to come back tomorrow to tell Zainab what he knows. Syed defiantly agrees to do this...

Meanwhile, Stacey and Ryan cannot help but flirt with each other while they are working at The Vic. The flirting intensifies after Stacey hints to Ryan that he's the reason she decided to stay in Walford. When Ryan puts an ice cube down her back, she retaliates and Ryan slams her against the banister and they kiss passionately, narrowly escaping being caught by Julie, who is working at the pub for a trial period. Later, however, Stacey rejects further advances from Ryan, telling him she deserves respect as she's the mother of his child. Giving him an ultimatum, Stacey says that he either leaves Janine to be with her and Lily, or he stays with Janine and leaves them alone.

Elsewhere, Glenda hopes that Ian will help her out of some money troubles after she is unable to pay her share of the rent; Julie's trial period at The Vic is a disaster but Kat agrees to give her one last chance; Heather convinces Dot to join the choir; and Glenda opens her door in her nightgown to find a guilty-looking Ian saying they can make an arrangement

Dec 3rd

Zainab returns home from her night away and invites Ian and Jane round for lunch. Syed arrives and he is about to tell Zainab about Masood and Jane, but at the last minute decides he can't hurt his mother. Instead, he thanks her for saving him in the fire. Zainab is visibly touched but does not have anything to say to him. Syed then heads to The Vic, where he tells Jane to stay away from Masood. In a bid to stand up for Jane, Christian unintentionally reveals that he knew about Masood and Jane. Syed is upset that he lied to him and that he would choose protecting his sister over being honest with him. At home, when Christian points out that Syed didn't tell Zainab because he wanted to protect her from getting hurt, his point sinks in.

Lunch at the Masoods' is incredibly tense, as everyone except for Zainab is worried about what might happen. Ian points out that there is a conflict of interest owning Masala Queen and the Argee Bhajee. He uses the phrase 'inappropriate bedfellows', making Masood and Jane squirm. Later, Ian and Jane argue about Ian's behaviour. Jane wants to know if it is all out of his system now, but as he looks over to Glenda who is passing, it is obvious that it isn't.

Meanwhile, Janine walks into The Vic dressed to kill, telling Ryan she has a job interview for a position on the other side of town, hinting that she doesn't want to stay in Walford forever. Later, however, she comes back and is deflated as she did not get the job. Stacey comes into work and Ryan follows her into the barrel store, where Stacey tells him that she has changed her mind - she just wants to have fun, nothing complicated. A few moments later, Kat goes to the barrel store looking for Ryan. When she walks in, she only sees Ryan who pretends to be changing a barrel. She tells him to be quick, but when she leaves, Stacey emerges from behind the barrel, clutching her dress in front of her.

Elsehwere, Dot gets an idea about how to improve the choir leadership; Jay is confused about Billy and Julie's relationship when he finds loads of pictures of another man in Julie's scrapbook; Stacey and Dot talk about Bradley; and Julie tells Billy that the man in the photos is their son.
