Former EastEnders star Pooja Shah has landed a guest stint in Coronation Street.
The actress, who previously portrayed Walford's Kareena Ferreira, is to play the role of DC Moore in a new storyline involving Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
According to the ITV soap's official website, Moore first appears on screen when she is called in to investigate a situation relating to twisted Tracy, who is currently serving a 15-year jail sentence for murder.
Shah has already begun filming for the Weatherfield show and will appear in eight episodes.
Along with her EastEnders role, the 31-year-old's acting credits include The Bill, Holby City and Doctors, as well as the film Bend It Like Beckham.
As revealed last month, Tracy will be released from prison at the end of this year after a plot twist sees her secure her freedom.
