Hollyoaks - Another oldie returning

According to her twitter Sarah Jayne Dunn (Mandy) will be in a few eps of Hollyoaks next month.

Anyone got any ideas why she would be back for a brief stint? To take Tom perhaps?

Read somewhere, on DS I think, that Tom is going to Frankie and Jack but that is only rumour.

Sarah Jayne Dunn has revealed that she is pleased to be exploring an edgier side to her Hollyoaks character Mandy Richardson.

The actress's alter ego made a surprise comeback in mysterious circumstances last month, but viewers have since discovered that she is in a relationship with fellow returnee Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) and is helping him with his sinister schemes.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Dunn commented: "At the moment she's come back and she's causing loads of trouble. It's quite nice because they put a different spin on the character.

"When they asked me back they said, 'This is what the storyline is going to be', and I said, 'Brilliant, it sounds loads of fun'. It's totally unexpected, I think, for everyone watching."

Although Dunn will appear in a production of Peter Pan at The Lowry theatre in Salford throughout December, she said that her Hollyoaks filming commitments will resume in the New Year.

"I'm actually back for a little while again - I'll be returning after I've done the show at The Lowry next year as well," she explained. "So I'm looking forward to a few more storylines."

Sarah Jayne Dunn has been in Hollyoaks on and off for more than half her life.

The 29-year-old actress first appeared in the Channel 4 soap as Mandy Richardson 15 years ago when she was just 14, and she can't imagine herself doing anything else.

Sarah told Reveal magazine: "I can't imagine not being an actress as I've been working since I was 14.

"If I wasn't on TV I'd be on the stage. In my time away from TV, I have done several plays and toured the country; it's loads of fun and a totally different experience to working in TV or film."

But the Hollyoaks babe has a hidden talent.

She revealed: "I can sing, but I've only had to professionally once in my career so no one knows I can."
