...as revealed in this week's Radio Times by Phil Collinson:
"The story [of John Stape] continues well into the new year and I can't tell you how much fun we're having with it. John is like one of those cartoon characters who knocks a rabbit down a hole, only for another one to pop up somewhere else."
Of the return of toxic Tracy Barlow, he declares, "Her badness is her virtue and she's a fly in the ointment for a lot of people, from Steve and Becky to Ken and Deirdre. Tracy will bring us a year's worth of stories and, following on from when she tried to frame Gail for Joe's murder, she'll fuel the Barlow/Platt feud."
And of Becky and what lies in store for her as she pursues her dream of a family? "Becky would do anything to protect her marriage, as the story we are about to tell shows," says Collinson, "In a way, Becky and Tracy are a lot alike, in that they're uncompromising, often to to their own detriment. Though Becky hasn't murdered anybody yet."
Yet?
"I'm saying no more than that," says Collinson.
So much for no actor being safe about knowing whether they will survive the tram crash or not!!!
