Shayne Ward has revealed that his new album will feature "guest vocalists" - the first time the X Factor star has recorded with other singers.

Ward, 25, recently confirmed that he will release Obsession, his first album in three years, on November 15. It will be trailed by the single 'Gotta Be Somebody' a week earlier.

"There are definitely some guest vocalists on there. I bloody want to tell you who they are, but I just can't yet!" he revealed in an interview with Digital Spy. "All I can say is I definitely went out to find really great singers - people who could carry the songs the way I wanted them to be carried."

Ward, who won the second series of the ITV1 singing contest in 2005, also revealed that he is very close to deciding on the final tracklisting for Obsession.

"I've been going through it all this week - listening to songs and thinking about how to order them. Simon could say, 'This song's going on it as well', but as far as I know for now it's a ten-track album," he said.

Shayne Ward has revealed that he felt "pushed aside" by Simon Cowell after his album was repeatedly pushed back.

The singer, whose last album Breathless was released in 2007, admits that he was left "frustrated" and feeling like Cowell's label SyCo weren't committed to him anymore.

"It certainly wasn't my choice to go away for three years," he told the Daily Mail.

"The fans were left out - I know they were wondering what was going on. All I could tell them was I was recording - I couldn't tell them a date because it kept on getting moved back.

"Of course I was frustrated and the label could see that. I felt like I was pushed aside. Every year there is a new X Factor winner and I felt like I wasn't a priority."

He continued: "At one point Sonny Takhar, who is Simon's Number Two, apologised to me. He said: 'We’re sorry if you have felt sidelined, we are really busy, but myself and Simon are fully committed to you. There is a real buzz about your album and we are sorry it has taken so long.'

"It took a lot of weight off my shoulders. When the record took so long to make, of course I wondered whether I was going to even have a job at SyCo."

Ward also revealed that his split from manager Louis Walsh was a "mutual decision", but admitted that he lacked confidence in him as a mentor.

"I would tell Louis I was frustrated and I could see his frustration," he confessed.

"He wanted the album out and it was just dragging on. I could see him getting a bit worried. But it’s not true to say he left me - it literally was a mutual agreement."

Shanye Ward releases his new single, 'Gotta Be Somebody', on November 8. His album Obsession follows on November 15.

Can't say I'm a massive fan of Shayne's but saw him perform this song on X Factor, and thought he was really good. Before that, I only liked his debut song, That's My Goal.

Shayne Ward will be dropped from Simon Cowell's record label next year, reports claim.

The singer, who marked his comeback to music last month after a three-year absence, is said to be on the verge of being dumped by label SyCo after his latest single 'Gotta Be Somebody' and album Obsession underperformed in the charts, News of the World reports.

A source said: "Shayne is finished at SyCo. Simon has tried his best to turn him into a star but it simply hasn't worked.

"He gave Shayne one more chance after ending his working relationship with Louis but his music hasn't connected with the public.

"The chances of him being a popstar again are incredibly low. It's a huge personal blow to Shayne. For a long time people thought he'd become the next Robbie Williams. But the music industry is ruthless and he is costing the company a lot of money at the moment."

They continued: "Shayne is also quite arrogant about his music [and] isn't the easiest person to work with. He will be quietly let go next year and the focus will turn to the new crop of X Factor contestants."

Ward recently revealed that he had recorded several tracks with top producers RedOne, Taio Cruz and Darkchild, but were all "still in the pipeline".

Ward's next single 'Obsession' is slated for release early next year.

I don't mind Shane, its a shame he hasn't made it bigger in the music industry.

Shayne Ward has reassured fans that he is feeling "great" about his future, after it was claimed that he has been dropped by Syco.

The 'Gotta Be Somebody' singer appeared to confirm the earlier report that he has been let go by Simon Cowell's record label, who are said to be disappointed by the chart performance of his latest single and album.

Writing on Twitter, Ward told over 85,000 followers: "To all my Fans I am great! Remember Business is business! (sic)"

He added: "1 door closed, A Thousand more will open."

A spokesperson for Syco had confirmed the news, telling The Sun that Ward's contract had come an end "after five very successful years".

Ward triumphed in the second series of The X Factor in 2005 and went on to score six top 20 singles and three top 20 albums.
