Luisa Bradshaw-White is quitting BBC hospital drama Holby City after three-and-a-half years.
The actress's character - the ambitious clinical matron, Louise Fox - is to be tempted by another job outside of Holby General.
A spokeswoman told DS: "The character of Lisa has been wonderful in the show and she has always had a huge sense of fun and adventure."
She added: "So in the months to come we will see her unable to resist the challenge of working in a setting very different to Holby City Hospital."
Luisa is still filming and her final scenes will be screened in September

September? As if. Last week when I spoke to Luisa she only had 3 weeks left to film and then she was going to film her last scenes somewhere else. Hmm. September... I thought it would be more like August.
That spokesman has obviously never watched Holby, everyone including Luisa thinks Lisa was horrible for most of the time LOL!

Is she a friend of yours then? Where was she filming her last scenes? on location somewhere?
Have to say her characters not been in it much so there won't be a lot to miss.

No, I run Amanda Mealing's (Connie) official website so I went down to the set the week before last and interviewed her. Luisa, Sharon Maughan and Robert Powell were rehearsing while I was there so I was talking to them too and Luisa said she was leaving.
I'm not gonna say where she's filming her final scenes but theyre not at Elstree where HC is filmed. It'll be really obvious if I say where they're filmed but I expect it'll come out soon anyway.
I liked Lisa as a character, she's not really done much though. Its a shame.

I can't believe she is going, I like Lisa, but I agree with, abblette, her character has become mundane of late. I hope her exit is good.

thats what i mean i feel sorry for her not being involved in huge and good storylines but the producers need to know thats what makes her quite boring since we never see her in good storylines like the others
thats the problem not everyone can have good story lines at the same time!! i do like the character though. i remember when she was in grange hill!!
