MUM'S the word - until Rickaaay finds out that Sam's baby might be his.

Ricky Butcher (Sid Owen) sits by her hospital bedside reeling from the news that he might be father to a mini Mitchell.

Sam (Danniella Westbrook) confided in Minty (Cliff Parisi) when he took her to hospital after she fainted. But Minty then passed on the news to a shocked Ricky.

He doesn't want to ruin things with Bianca (Pastsy Palmer) so refuses to take responsibility, leaving Sam - who is at war with Peggy and Phil - without any support.

She even resembles Bianca. They made her looks a bit softer. Not the usual bimbo look.

Minty asks Sam to marry him
Airs on Monday, August 23 2010 20:00 BST on BBC One

Peggy tells Minty to get her a visiting order so she can go to see Sam in prison. In the prison visiting room, Minty tries to make Sam forgive her mum, but she stubbornly refuses. As Sam angrily gets up to leave, she faints. Afterwards, having been taken to hospital to recover, Sam shocks Minty by explaining that Phil and Peggy had tried to pin Archie's murder on her, which is why she wants nothing to do with them. Later on, Minty tells Ricky about Sam's pregnancy and says that Ricky is the father. Ricky is extremely shaken and argues that it could be Jack's baby. He then refuses to get involved, saying it would ruin his relationship with Bianca.

When he returns to The Vic, Minty tells Peggy that Sam doesn't want to see her. Peggy is ashamed when Minty reveals that he knows that she and Phil tried to stitch up Sam for Archie's death. Peggy clutches at straws, still desperate to see Sam, but Minty says it's too late and the damage is done, leaving Peggy feeling upset. Back at the hospital ward, Sam is distraught that Ricky has turned his back on her and is scared to have her baby on her own. Seeing that Sam is broken, Minty asks her to marry him, telling her he has always loved her and will never let her down. When Sam doesn't respond, Minty feels a fool and goes to leave, prompting an emotional Sam to look down at her pregnant belly and say yes. Minty is overjoyed.

Meanwhile, at Christian's flat, Syed is embarrassed when he has to ask Christian for money to do some shopping. Syed resolves to get himself a job and later tells Tamwar that he wants to go back into the property market. However, when he calls his old contacts with no success, Syed feels disillusioned. Christian offers Syed a job as his PA, but Syed sees that as simply being a 'glorified skivvy'. However, he soon realises that he has no other option and agrees to the idea.

Elsewhere, Vanessa gives Abi a makeover to help her impress Darren, but he barely notices her new look; Lucy is horrified when Ian creates his own MatesGate account; Minty feels left out when he hears about a trip that Heather, Darren and George have taken to the zoo; and Lucy and Zsa Zsa swap insults about exam results at the café.

Sam leaves Minty heartbroken
Airs on Tuesday, August 24 2010 19:30 BST on BBC One

Heather is upset when Minty tells her about his engagement, but she tries to stay strong and accompanies him to the jewellers to help him choose a ring. While there, Heather gets carried away when the sales assistant assumes that she is the one he is engaged to. Later, Minty is annoyed to discover Ricky visiting Sam at the hospital. After Ricky leaves, Sam tells Minty that she can see that Ricky still loves her. She brushes off the fact that she had agreed the night before to marry Minty, saying she was in agony and only said that to shut him up. Minty tries to save face by saying he hadn't taken it seriously anyway, but really he is heartbroken.

Unaware of the recent turn of events, Heather later gives Minty a 'congratulations' cupcake, at which point Minty explodes. Heather tries to comfort Minty by saying there is no-one better than him. Minty moves in to kiss her, but she pulls away, saying he hurt her too much the last time. When Minty asks Heather why she is still willing to be friends with him after all he did to her, she admits that marrying him was the best thing she ever did as he gave her confidence to stand on her own two feet. He leans in again to kiss her, and this time she responds…

Meanwhile, it's exam results day and Peter is irritated as Ian expects that his results won't be as good as Lucy's. Ian remains unaware that Peter worked hardest while studying for the tests, while Lucy cheated. Later, Ian is shocked when Peter tells him he got four Bs, five Cs and an A*. Ian is ecstatic for both his children, but Peter is still resentful towards Lucy and the praise she is receiving for getting six A*s. Later, Mr Allcock arrives at the Beales' house and says that inconsistencies have been noticed in Lucy's results. He says that Peter's papers, as well as Lucy's, will have to be looked at by the exam board, leaving Peter horrified.

Elsewhere, Dot rebukes Max when she finds him and Vanessa in a state of undress, telling him that he should be grieving as it's the week of Bradley's birthday; Zsa Zsa is touched when Shirley tries to tell her how proud she is over her exam results; a flash drum kit arrives for Ian and it becomes clear that he's trying to recapture old musical dreams; and Vanessa tries to learn more about Max, but hits a nerve by pressing him to talk about Bradley.

Jane finds out about Lucy's abortion
Airs on Thursday, August 26 2010 20:00 BST on BBC One

At the Beales', Jane is furious about the school accusing Peter and Lucy of cheating - but Ian is secretly not so certain about Lucy's innocence. Later, the couple go to the school for a meeting with Mr Allcock, where he explains that Lucy failed all of her exams up to and including her English exam, but then got the highest marks in all of the tests after that. He adds that if the exam board decides Lucy and Peter cheated, they will have to take all of their exams again. Later, in the café, Peter is worried sick - knowing that he worked hard for his grades and won't do as well if he has to take his exams again.

Seeing Peter in such a state makes Lucy start to feel guilty, so she later tells Jane that she cheated. Jane is shocked, but it angers Lucy when Jane tries to make excuses for her. Jane confronts Peter in the café, asking if he knew the truth about Lucy's cheating. He doesn't reply, but his face says it all. When locking up in the café, Zsa Zsa notices that Jane is close to tears. Jane says she is upset because Lucy lied to her, and Zsa Zsa mistakenly thinks that Jane is talking about Lucy's abortion. When Zsa Zsa mentions the abortion, Jane is left reeling...

Meanwhile, after spending the night with Minty, Heather goes to check on George. She starts to worry about his breathing, saying he sounds like she does when she has an asthma attack. Heather feels guilty that George was like this in the room next door while she was in bed with Minty. At the doctor's surgery, Darren questions Heather about why she didn't hear George's struggled breathing sooner, which makes her feel worse.

Back at Minty's, Heather pushes Minty away and tells him to give it one more try with Sam. Later, however, Minty comes to a decision and tells Heather that he wants to be with her. Heather is insistent that he still loves Sam, but he finally convinces her otherwise. He says he wants to be with her and George, but that it had just taken him a while to realise it. Minty kisses her, and Heather can hardly believe her luck.

Elsewhere, Max takes his grief over Bradley out on Darren by attacking his parenting; Roxy urges Christian to enjoy himself as they knock back drinks at R&R; Tamwar continues to spend quality time with Syed; Max suggests to Dot that they should mark Bradley's birthday tomorrow by scattering his ashes; and Tamwar and Syed are both appalled when Christian and Roxy make a rowdy return from their night out.

Jane vows to take revenge
Airs on Friday, August 27 2010 20:00 BST on BBC One

At the Beales' house, Lucy sees Jane sitting in the dark in the front room. She confronts Lucy about guilt making it hard to sleep. Lucy thinks she is talking about her exam guilt, but Jane is actually referring to Lucy's secret abortion. Jane then makes Lucy promise that there are no more lies and she does, despite her still not telling the truth about her 'miscarriage'. Later on in the café, Jane tells Zsa Zsa to keep her spiteful lies quiet and that she believes that Lucy didn't abort her baby. However, Jane later confronts Peter about the abortion and he reveals that both he and Ian knew. Peter feels awful about revealing the truth, but Jane tells him not to worry and that he mustn't tell Ian that she knows. Jane then bumps into Denise, but runs off sobbing when Denise makes a remark about kids. Denise follows Jane back to the house and tries to comfort her.

Jane tells Denise that she is angry that Ian lied to her again, and now wants to leave. However, at The Vic later, Denise is happy to see Jane and Ian together. In a private moment, Jane tells Denise how much Ian has hurt her and declares that, before she can leave him, she needs to show him just how much he has…

Meanwhile, at the Slaters' house, Becca finds Stacey's phone and deletes a voicemail from Max asking her to go with them to scatter Bradley's ashes. Becca and Stacey are preparing to take a day trip to Brighton and Becca wants to make sure that she won't make other plans. However, Becca's scheme is thwarted when Dot fills Stacey in on what Max is planning. At Max's house, Max tries to convince Stacey that he called her and left a message, but she continues to fall for Becca's lies.

Stacey says that she is most upset that Max has chosen a place that means nothing to her to scatter the ashes and walks out. Later on, Max goes to see Stacey and tells her the reason for wanting to scatter the ashes at the location he's chosen. Soon afterwards, Stacey, Lily, Dot, Abi, Vanessa and Max all head off together. However, Stacey makes Max stop the car, saying that she isn't ready to say goodbye. Max agrees that Stacey can keep the ashes until she is ready.

Elsewhere, Heather argues with Shirley after hearing that she's warned Minty not to hurt her again; Lucy decides to go to stay at her grandmother's house; Shirley offers Heather and Minty a takeaway as a peace offering; and Tamwar secretly tries to include Syed after the Masoods decide to shoot a family video for Shabnam - giving Syed an opportunity to explain to his sister that he's fallen in love with a man.

HEAVILY pregnant Sam Mitchell agrees to marry Minty Peterson in a prison hospital.

The grease monkey comes to her rescue when she confesses she’s having Ricky Butcher’s baby but he wants nothing to do with her or the tot.

Minty, played by Cliff Parisi, 50, has always lusted after the youngest of the Mitchell clan and is thrilled when she says yes.

But we can reveal that Sam (Danniella Westbrook, 36) later changes her mind and refuses to tie the knot.

Minty is devastated when she cruelly tells him he’s not good enough for her.

Good one.
She is such a nasty piece of work. Playing Minty like that.
As Minty is leaving I hope he will not take Heather with him. She is such a joyful character even though she deserves some happiness.

SMILING Sam Mitchell shows off her baby son after giving birth to him in prison.

But she’s set to break her family’s heart.

Sam (Danniella Westbrook, 36) will reveal she’s to give him up for adoption.

She has no idea who the father is and doesn’t want to raise him as a single mum.

Yeh well she certainly couldnt have done a test while he was still inside, but hopefully now we will get to the bottom of it! I really don't want Ricky or Jack to be the father, it would spoil both their relationships. But if I had to choose, probs Ricky. Jack's already got a baby with Ronnie's sister, a baby with Sam, another Mitchell, would probs push her over the edge!
