Andy angrily blames Adele for his trust issues
Katie keeps her reservations to herself when Adele seems to want to give Andy another chance. She warns Andy that he has a clean slate with Adele and not to mess it up, but she's taken aback when Andy angrily blames her for his trust issues. Clearly worried for Adele, Katie tells her about Andy spying on them.

Meanwhile, Leyla's mood is sullen as she tries to distract herself with the shop. She awkwardly leaves a message for Justin asking him to call her. Holly takes cocaine while babysitting
Airs on Thursday, August 19 2010 19:00 BST on ITV1

Holly is geared up for a night out with Roz and does a line of coke at work to get her through the day. However, her plans to go out are thwarted when Moira agrees for Holly to babysit for Laurel.

Later, Holly's thrilled when Roz turns up at Mulberry, but Roz is disgusted when she insists on doing a line. When Ashley and Laurel return home, they're suspicious about her behaviour and Holly is oblivious that in her hurry to leave she's dropped some things under the sofa.

Roz is sombre at Holly's irresponsible attitude and calls it a night, but she's concerned when Holly makes a scene outside the pub and insists on taking her for a drive to sober her up. Meanwhile, Ashley is livid as he finds Holly's wrap of cocaine. Is Holly's time up?

Meanwhile, Katie is determined to help Andy and suggests he see someone professional. The GP urges him to try anger management therapy. Worried he won't be able to pay for it, Katie tries to reassure him it's worth the expense.

Elsewhere, Scarlett quits her job after her arguments with Carl come to a head; and Paddy's highly amused at Marlon's excitement as he waves Marlon and Rhona off on their week-long residential course.

Ashley heads straight round to John and Moira's to fill them in on the situation with Holly. They convince him not to call the police and tensely wait for her to return. Later, Holly can't meet her parents' eyes when they question her about Isaac's iPod. When Holly refuses to stop doing drugs, John sees red and disowns her. Will John be able to forgive his junkie daughter?

Meanwhile, Scarlett is on a mission to start her own business and ropes Eve in to help her. She rents out Jimmy's old office at Pear Tree and takes Eve on as her PA.

Kelvin Fletcher has admitted that he feels sorry for his Emmerdale character Andy Sugden.

The actor told Soaplife that Andy, who spent time in prison and abused his wife Jo (Roxanne Pallett), was dealing with his issues.

"He’s not a demon," he said. "He has serious trust issues and he just can’t help himself. I really feel for him."

This week, Andy is dumped by girlfriend Adele (Tanya Vital) when his possessiveness becomes too much for her, which leads him blaming his ex-wife Katie (Sammy Winward) for his problems.

"Because she had an affair with his brother, Robert, and slept with him on the eve of their wedding. He tells her it’s no wonder he’s suspicious after what she did to him," he said.

Asked if getting back together with Katie could help Andy, Fletcher said that he wasn't sure it could happen.

"Them get back together, you mean? They were the perfect couple before her thing with Robert and she knows him better than anyone."

He added: "But maybe too much has happened to go back..."

Kelvin Fletcher has said his Emmerdale alter-ego Andy Sugden has his volatile temper "under control".

The emotionally-fraught farmer gets into a row with girlfriend Adele Allfrey in episodes airing this week, which sends him into a rage and he crashes his car, but Kelvin assures the abusive temper which scared off estranged wife Jo won't be shown.

"I don't think Andy is in danger of hitting Adele like he did Jo, but I'm sure that she finds the way he looms over her fairly threatening - he's got his temper under control," he told Inside Soap.

The 26-year-old continued: "He's so worried about it though, it makes things difficult for him. Andy is his own worst enemy and he's really angry with himself for behaving this way with Adele when he's been trying so hard to do the right thing."

Kelvin blamed Andy's fast-moving feelings towards Adele, which have turned him into an emotional wreck.

"Andy releases that he's quite serious about Adele - it started as a bit of fun, but things have moved fast," he said.

"The problem is, he doesn't think she's acting like they have something long-term. Adele's very independent and it makes Andy feel insecure."
