ITVLyndon Ogbourne has claimed that his Emmerdale alter ego Nathan Wylde is capable of being a killer.
Speaking to the Daily Record, the actor also predicted that Nathan will meet a "horrific" end.
He said: "Nathan has become a catalyst for many of the problems within the village and a lot of people have followed up shouting abuse at me in the street by saying I was one of the reasons they tuned in to the show - to see how evil I would get.
"Viewers know that when Nathan walks into a scene potentially it's all going to kick off. Nathan is a very determined and angry character, who in my opinion would stop at nothing to achieve what he wants.
"If backed into a corner, I think Nathan would have the venom and arrogance to take someone's life if pushed to it. But Nathan has the interesting character trait of not being a thug-like villain, but the intelligent scheming corrupt villain... a far more terrifying person to face."
Ogbourne added: "I'm sure a lot of Emmerdale viewers will be waiting for him to get his comeuppance, and when it comes it will be horrific.
"But he's got a lot more of a twisted winding path to beat in the Dales, so my excitement for the role and the show is still massive."
