Leaving Zak alone, Sam hurries after Alfie in the grounds of Home Farm, only to be hit by an awful stench.
He's horrified to find that Alfie has dug up what appears to be a body. Sam panics and quickly calls the police.

Elsewhere, Nathan emerges from the woods carrying a shovel; Marlon informs the family that Shadrach has gone; and Diane goes on holiday for a much-needed rest.
Natasha struggles to keep Sam calm

Reeling from his shock discovery in the woods, Sam bursts into Home Farm and breaks the news to Nathan and Katie.
As the police descend on Home Farm, Nathan calls Natasha back from her holiday with Declan. Nathan's on edge as the police begin to ask questions and when his mother returns, she spots a police car and is instantly filled with dread.
Under Natasha's instruction, Declan heads out to collect Maisie and Will, while the police recover a watch with an inscription that identifies the corpse as Mark's.
On hearing the policeman suggest that the body is that of Mark, Natasha recalls her version of events on that cold January night, before breaking down.
Struggling to find the words, Natasha's forced to tell her children that their father has been found buried in the grounds of Home Farm. Trying to take in what's happened, Natasha's heart breaks as she comes to terms with the hurt that she's caused.
Elsewhere, Leyla's excited about her new business venture; the Dingles are in shock to learn that Shadrach has gone; and Betty worries that they've found Seth's body at Home Farm.
Cain burns Mark's wallet

Natasha tries to hold things together for Will and Maisie who are crippled with grief for their father. Nathan, meanwhile, is forced to mirror their emotion and cover that he already knew.
When the police announce that they'll need to question the family, reality sets in for Maisie as she realises that the whole family's under suspicion.
Natasha can't shake the fear that they're completely out of their depth and she begins to worry that the police may never look to Faye as a suspect.
Frustrated, Nathan suggests that she draw on some of the tenacity she used to hide Mark's murder in the first place.
Meanwhile, after hearing about Shadrach, Cain heads up to Wishing Well to pass on his sympathy. Knowing Cain's ambivalence towards Shadrach, Zak appreciates the gesture. As everyone shares stories about Shadrach, a flustered Sam returns home with the news that he's uncovered Mark's body at Home Farm.
A fearless Cain seeks reassurance from Sam that the wallet was never mentioned and promptly excuses himself, before burning the wallet in the garage.
Elsewhere, David's eager to celebrate Leyla's new venture.
Nathan's arrested for Mark's murder

Nathan and Natasha are uneasy when the police arrive, revealing that they've confirmed the body is that of Mark.
With that, the police go on to suggest that the sooner they take official statements, the sooner the family can be left to grieve. In turn, Maisie, Nathan, Will, Declan, Faye and Ryan are questioned about their respective relationships with Mark.
Throughout the course of interviews, Nathan's temperament and recent bout of erratic behaviour manifests itself and the police later return to ask further questions.
When Nathan refuses to play ball, the police arrest him and haul him to the station.
Clearly horrified, Nathan attempts to mask the panic from his voice as he asks Natasha to arrange him legal advice - and quickly.
Nathan's remanded in custody

As Nathan maintains his cool exterior, the police continue to grill him over his temper. At every given opportunity, Nathan alludes to Faye's motive to want to murder Mark but the police continue their questioning regardless.
As Nathan's remanded in custody overnight, Natasha relays the news as sensitively as possible to Will and Maisie, who both vow that their brother is innocent and they must never forget it.
Locked in the cells, Nathan's earlier complacency starts to vanish as he begins to lose his cool.
Back in the village, Maisie confides in Ryan that she's sure Nathan can't be guilty as he wouldn't have been able to keep such a secret from them.
Meanwhile, Chas and Eve chat over a drink and when Carl arrives, Eve excuses herself, keen not to spend time with them.
As Eve leaves, Chas privately remarks to Carl that Eve's supposed to be a maneater. Finding an excuse to leave himself, it's clear that Carl is seriously tempted by the village newcomer.
Back at Woodbine, Eve finds Edna waiting for her. Admitting that she's found a debt collection letter, Edna urges Eve to come clean about everything.
Painting a weak smile, Eve insists that she'll sort it. Far from convinced, Edna's left wondering 'how'.
Elsewhere, Doug's downbeat after receiving more job rejection letters.
Nathan threatens to hand Natasha to the police

The police are unable to stall any longer and are forced to release Nathan without charge.
Later, Natasha's stumped when Nathan reveals that he knows it wasn't an accident and that she murdered Mark.
Furious, Nathan threatens his mother - if she doesn't divert the blame away from him, then he'll shop her to the police himself.
Meanwhile, Edna tries to convince Eve to get a job in a bid to relieve her huge debt. She's disappointed, though, when Eve informs her that she has a job in a lapdancing bar.
Noticing that Eve's stressed, Carl privately smiles to himself when Edna confides about Eve's money problem and her new career.
Elsewhere, Will tells Ryan that he thinks Nathan went to London because he killed their father; and Viv thinks Bob's still in love with her when he tries to convince her to come off the valium.
