Carmel demands to know if Theresa is Calvin's killer and while Jacqui and Mercedes desperately try to cover, Theresa struggles with the accusation. Carmel and Myra are in disbelief, however, when Theresa comes clean. Reeling from the revelation, Carmel's furious with her sisters for conspiring against her.

Jack and Gilly can't believe that they're standing with Carl Costello - their Premier League footballing hero! Carl, however, isn't best impressed when they mention a tabloid scandal. Cheryl's frustrated when Carl asks her to clean The Dog and afterwards, Heidi - Carl's wife - sacks her.
With evident trust issues between Heidi and Carl, it's clear that they have a murky past. As the press gather to cover the Costellos' arrival in the village, a face from their past makes an appearance…
Meanwhile, Ravi and Jem continue to fight their attraction while living under the same roof. Ravi makes a pass at her, before walking away without saying a word. Later, the pair find themselves playfighting and it's not long before their frustration boils over into a passionate embrace.

2868: Jem's furious over Carl's arrival

Jem's furious that her father Carl has moved to Hollyoaks. Faced with the accusations that he's following her, Carl protests that it's sheer coincidence as he wanted to be closer to his childhood home near the river. Not believing a word of it, Jem marches off.
Later, Jem's reunited with her brothers Riley and Seth as well as her step-mother Heidi. Everyone's pleased to see Jem but she's firm - she won't be playing happy families with them, especially after what happened between her and her father.
Meanwhile, a crazed Loretta defaces photos of her and Jake, before stashing them in Jake's belongings. With that, she sends a text message to her self in the hope of proving to Steph that Jake's obsessed with her. When Steph sees the planted evidence, she begins to worry about her brother's sanity.

Steph's worried that Jake's having another breakdown and confides in their mother. Frankie, however, refuses to believe that Jake's obsessed with Loretta. When Steph notices a bruise on Loretta's arm, alarm bells ring.
Realising that Loretta's trying to make him look mentally unhinged, Jake turns to his family for help. He's stunned, though, when they confront him with the defaced photos they found in his belongings.
Meanwhile, Jem's still cagey about her father Carl and mother-in-law Heidi being in the village. As she and Ravi enjoy a drink in The Dog, Jem's uneased by Carl and Heidi's friendliness toward her boyfriend. Jem's convinced that the Costellos moved to the village to track her down - but have they?

Jem pops in for a coffee with Heidi but continues to avoid her father. It's Fajita Friday and Heidi's insistent that Jem stays with them. Over the meal, Heidi tries to talk to Carl about their move to Hollyoaks being a fresh start - a new beginning for the whole family.
Carl receives a mysterious text message and promptly ignores it. However, he soon sneaks out to meet an old acquaintance. What's Carl hiding?
Meanwhile, model Mitzeee arrives in Hollyoaks to promote a new brand of lager at The Loft. Having rubbed Nancy up the wrong way, Mitzeee asks a delighted Duncan if she can get ready at his place. At the flat, Darren and Rhys are gobsmacked by Mitzeee's presence - and they're thrilled when she asks them to be her backing dancers.
Mitzeee rewards Duncan with a kiss and he revels in the attention - as well as her belief that Rhys and Darren are gay!
