Ronnie begins planning for her wedding
Airs on Monday, July 19 2010 20:00 BST on BBC One
Ronnie's excited about the wedding and wants to start planning as soon as possible but Jack's still reeling over her revelation that the baby she miscarried at Christmas was Owen's. Ronnie insists that she's fine about everything but Jack's not too sure that she's telling the truth. Over at The Vic, Peggy and Glenda express an interest in joining Ronnie in her search for a wedding dress but Ronnie insists that she wants to go with Roxy. Later, Glenda shows Ronnie her old wedding dress and offers to let her wear it like she did for Archie but Ronnie's repulsed by the suggestion. Returning home, Ronnie finds Jack exercising.
Later, Roxy shares a tender moment with her mother on discovering an old Barbie doll of hers that she's kept from her childhood. Jack's sleeping and Ronnie heads over to The Vic again and she's thrown into a panic when she hears Archie's voice. Rushing upstairs, Ronnie finds Roxy and Glenda watching an old video. With that, Ronnie hurries out of the pub. Jack wakes from his nap and is puzzled as to Ronnie's whereabouts. He's shocked, though, when she walks in on Ronnie sobbing in the middle of a pile of ripped wedding magazines…
Meanwhile, the Masoods are still coming to terms with Syed's decision to be with Christian. Refusing to go to mosque, Zainab rifles through the washing and comes across some of Syed's clothes. Returning home, Tamwar confides in his mother that Masood told everyone at mosque that he only has two sons. Suggesting that Zainab should visit Syed, Zainab instead hands over his clothes to take to the charity shop. After Masood apologises to Zainab for taking his frustrations out on her, they both agree that at least they have their sons. While out for a stroll, they spot Christian and Syed together and seemingly blank them. Zainab and Syed, however, lock eyes.
Elsewhere, Christian's surprised that Syed's being so open about their relationship; Peter asks Lucy how she cheated on her exams; Shirley's frustrated to learn that Phil's not visiting Ben at the detention centre; Christian returns home to find Syed cooking and the flat in a complete mess; Peter confronts Adam about blackmailing Lucy; Peggy hears of Phil's reluctance to visit his son but after a heart-to-heart, she realises that he's too scared to go; Libby slaps Adam when he mentions Denise; Peggy and Phil visit Ben who seems to be getting on just fine as he's made a new friend; Christian suggests that they forget the flat and head out for a meal together; and Ben's 'friend' threatens him after visiting hours - Ben's not fine at all.

Ronnie's childhood secret is revealed
Airs on Tuesday, July 20 2010 19:30 BST on BBC One
Ronnie's browsing for wedding dresses when Glenda points one out that looks like the one she married Archie in. Ronnie's disgusted to hear his name. While Ronnie waits for Peggy to arrive, Glenda heads over to The Vic and insists that Ronnie only wants to go shopping with Roxy. Glenda leaves and a suspicious Peggy calls Ronnie but Glenda manages to delete the missed call before her daughter sees it. With that, Glenda reveals to Ronnie that Peggy's too busy to go out with them. After bumping into Jack, Peggy's furious to realise that Glenda deceived her. Calling Ronnie, Peggy asks if she can meet them all at a shop.
Ronnie and Roxy arrive and Peggy's inside the shabby-looking dress shop. Despite laughing at the ancient dresses, Ronnie agrees to try one on. The laughter, however, stops when Ronnie emerges from the changing room in a pristine dress. Returning to The Vic, Olive makes the relevant alterations to Ronnie's dress, while Peggy hands out a round of drinks. Delighted by Ronnie's choice, Peggy offers to pay for the dress - something which frustrates Glenda no end. An argument between Peggy and Glenda breaks out over Archie. Hearing her father's name pushes Ronnie over the edge and she runs out of the room past Jack.
Roxy comforts her distraught sister demanding to know what's wrong and Ronnie finally cracks - it's because Archie raped her when she was 13. They're stunned to realise that Peggy, Jack and Glenda have heard everything.
Elsewhere, the funeral director calls at Patrick's to arrange Denise's service; Christian and Syed visit Dagenham Dave's where his brother Derek shows them some mattresses; Libby asks Patrick to make a speech at her mother's funeral; Christian offers to help Tamwar get fit when he spots him looking at a men's fitness magazine; Darren helps Abi write a letter to Ben; Christian assures Syed that he'd never cheat on him; Patrick struggles to write his eulogy for Denise and he's upset when he finds a note in Denise's handwriting; Tamwar tells Zainab exactly what he thinks of her when she suggests that he burn a box of his brother's belongings; and Jordan's upset by Abi's comments about Ben.
Despite the huge weight being lifted off her shoulders, a distraught Ronnie feels embarrassed by her admission. A bemused Glenda looks on as Roxy protests that her father wouldn't ever do such a barbaric thing. Comforted by Peggy and Glenda, Ronnie goes on to recount the incident. Having heard enough, Roxy lashes out. Peggy and Glenda drag Roxy into the back to calm her down and there, Roxy admits that she's known for months but refused to believe it as Glenda would surely have known if it were true. Talking with Jack, Glenda asks if he believes Ronnie's claim and as he's about to answer, Ronnie appears and asks the same question.
Jack explains to Ronnie how he didn't want to believe that she'd suffered such abuse as a child and promises never to let anyone hurt her ever again. Ronnie breaks down in Jack's arms, leaving Glenda feeling isolated once again. Desperate to show her affection, Glenda insists that she'll always be there for her, before hinting that she doesn't think Peggy believes her. Enraged by the suggestion, Ronnie bolts downstairs and shouts at Peggy to listen to her - she needs to prove that she's not lying. Peggy, however, dismisses her as a liar and orders her out of the pub. Glenda, meanwhile, revels in the family crisis. What's she up to?
Meanwhile, Patrick begins clearing up the house in a bid to distract himself from recent events. Libby, however, becomes upset by his actions as he's throwing away some of her mother's belongings. Libby asks Lucas to stop Patrick but he allows him to continue. Jordan, however, suggests that everything that's happened with his mother Trina and now Denise is his fault and suggests that he's not a good enough Christian. Kim arrives and tries to comfort Libby, while Patrick heads over to see Jim. Talking with Lucas, Kim suggests that Denise killed herself because he made her unhappy. After a heart-to-heart with Jim, Patrick returns home and is confronted by Kim about his lack of support. Patrick, however, insists that he wants his house back. Lucas, meanwhile, asks God for forgiveness.
Elsewhere, Libby becomes upset when Patrick starts tidying away Denise's belongings; Masood demands that Tamwar apologise to his mother; wanting to know more about the Muslim faith, Christian asks Syed what it means to him; Abi's dressed to impress and delights when she interrupts Darren's date with Jodie; Tamwar sees Christian arrive at mosque; Masood's incredulous when he spots Christian at mosque; and Christian apologises to Syed for going to his mosque and despite reprimanding him, Syed admits that he loves him for it.
Patrick goes into meltdown
Airs on Thursday, July 22 2010 19:30 BST on BBC One
Libby and Kim attempt to talk to Patrick about him asking them all to move out but Patrick's insistent - it's for the best. Sure that he's only saying it out of grief, Kim tries to involve him in Denise's funeral arrangements but Patrick realises what she's trying to do and reaffirms his decision to reclaim his house. Turning to Lucas, Kim asks him to have a word with Patrick but he's reluctant to even try. Chelsea, meanwhile, decides that she wants to sell Denise's exercise bike, before heading out to choose flowers for the funeral. Left alone with Lucas, Patrick refuses to talk to him, reaffirming his disgust at the part he played in covering Owen's murder. Later, over a game of cards, Billy and Charlie become concerned about Patrick as he continues to drink.
Consuming more and more alcohol, Patrick starts dancing and singing, much to the confusion of the others. When the rest of the family walk in, they can't believe what they're seeing. An argument ensues between Patrick and Kim and Lucas is forced to step in. Walking Patrick to the allotments, Lucas asks why he's behaving so out of character. At that moment, Patrick explains how angry he is at Denise for selfishly ending her life. Assuring Patrick that everybody has secrets, Lucas insists that the girls need Patrick in their lives. Despite Patrick's worry that he'll let them down like he did with his own children, Lucas reassures him - he's there for them all.
Meanwhile, Ronnie rebuffs Glenda's attempts to talk about the past. Realising that there's only one person Ronnie will talk to, Glenda heads out in search of Roxy. Peggy's frustrated by Glenda's presence and the pair bicker over Ronnie's revelation about Archie. Roxy appears with flowers for her father's grave, before leaving for the cemetery. Glenda follows and as they walk, Glenda asks Roxy to be there for her sister. Eventually turning up at Jack's flat, Roxy asks to speak with Ronnie and it's not long before the siblings once again settle their differences. Roxy also relents and believes Ronnie's claim that Archie abused her when she was a child.
Elsewhere, Tamwar asks Syed if he can talk about his relationship with Christian; Syed invites Tamwar for dinner at Christian's flat and he reluctantly accepts; Tamwar eats Zainab's meal, before secretly heading around to Christian's flat; Tamwar and Syed have a heart-to-heart; and Tamwar asks Syed to go to mosque with him, before sharing a hug.
It's the day of Denise's funeral
Airs on Friday, July 23 2010 20:00 BST on BBC One
It's the day of Denise's funeral and as Patrick tries to apologise to Kim, she doesn't want to know - today's all about her sister and nobody else. Denise's other sister Daphne arrives and comforts Libby and Chelsea, before expressing her wish that she'd apologised to Denise before she died. Libby struggles to deal with what’s going on around her and she quietly leaves. Across the Square, Lucas puts the finishing touches to the community centre ahead of the service. At the swings, Chelsea finds Libby who begins to question whether they ever knew their mother at all. Chelsea, however, insists that Denise was always there for them, no matter what happened.
Later, a procession follows the hearse with Denise's coffin through the Square. Arriving at the community centre, Lucas begins the service. Before long, the congregation begin singing one of Denise's favourite songs. As the service continues, Lucas begins to falter and it looks like he's about to confess his sins. At the last minute, though, he asks everyone to pray. With Libby and Chelsea in emotional turmoil, Patrick stands and delivers a moving eulogy. After the service, mourners head to The Vic where Liz asks Libby to move to Spain with her. Daphne abruptly cuts in and offends Owen, forcing Libby to leave. Patrick looks on and is soon confronted by Kim who demands to know what he's playing at. With that, Patrick asks the girls to stay with him.
Meanwhile, Darren begins cooking a romantic meal for Jodie. With time running out, Darren asks Abi for her help and she gleefully agrees. Jodie soon arrives and the meal's a surprising success, much to Abi's frustration. The pair soon retire to the sofas and it's clear that there's love in the air. Returning from the bathroom, Jodie's horrified as Darren's stood there in his boxer shorts. Jodie screams 'Oh My God!' before rushing out. He reveals that the children think she killed Trina and that was her reason for committing suicide.

He suggests that there is another way to be together forever if they commit suicide together. Shocked, Denise rejects the idea and carries on looking for the keys. Denise hears her family celebrating Libby's birthday as she stands in Patrick's hallway. Spotting Denise, Libby drops in shock in the doorway, while Chelsea and Patrick follow her gaze and realise that Denise is alive. Denise sobs with joy, but Chelsea is furious and shouts that Denise is meant to be dead and is a murderer. Shocked, Denise tells her family that she didn't kill Owen, it was Lucas and he kidnapped her. Chelsea doesn't believe her until Lucas enters and confirms that it is true.
Libby lashes out at Lucas, who is eerily calm. Lucas guards the doorway and insists he did everything to protect his family. The phone then rings and Lucas disconnects it. Outside, Heather rings the doorbell and as Libby calls out for help, Lucas holds the phone wire at her throat. He tells Patrick to get the person at the door to go away or he will kill Libby. Patrick gets a chance to write a note to Heather saying "call police", but the notebook flips pages and she doesn't see Patrick's plea before she leaves. Lucas shuts the door and says that no-one is going anywhere. Libby is furious and speaks out - at which point, Lucas threatens them with a knife. However, Libby isn't scared of Lucas and verbally attacks him, prompting him to scream at her to shut up.

Lucas tells Denise he'll always love her as they escape. They stumble out of the house and are greeted by shocked residents who help them and call the police. They realise Jordan is still in the house and Patrick explains what Lucas did and how dangerous he is. Inside the house, Lucas explains to Jordan what he's done. Denise hopes to fix her broken family
Airs on Friday, July 30 2010 20:00 BST on BBC One
Sitting in a police cell, Lucas takes pages from the Bible to wipe blood from his fingertips before later giving it to a policeman and saying it's no use to him where he's going. Meanwhile, Denise is in a private room at the hospital and a newspaper reporter disguised as a doctor questions her. Upon hearing her name 'Mrs Johnson', Denise chokes back the tears and explains that she must change her name. Much to the reporter's delight, Denise admits that she wants to see Lucas so that she can show him what he's done to her.
At the salon, Chelsea confides in Roxy, saying that a few weeks ago she was part of a normal family and now it has all fallen apart. This strikes a cord with Roxy who used to think the same about her family. Chelsea is upset to think her own father is a murderer, but Roxy tries to reassure her, saying that you can't choose your family. When Chelsea returns home, she and Libby overhear Patrick telling Charlie that Lucas is the devil. Patrick explains that he feels deceived and is annoyed that he believed Lucas's lies, but Charlie says that he is not alone. Later, Libby shouts at Chelsea, saying that Lucas can't be a father anymore - at which point, Jordan emerges.
Zainab accompanies Patrick, Chelsea, Libby and Jordan as they visit Denise in hospital, where they're confronted by the reporter from earlier, now calling himself D.I Stevenson. He says that he needs to ask them some more questions, but Zainab is suspicious and confronts him. When the reporter cannot show an official hospital ID, Zainab grabs Chelsea, Jordan and Libby and pulls them away from him, while Patrick protests telling him to leave them alone. They make their way into Denise's private room, where Libby tries to probe her mother about what Lucas did to her, but she refuses to say in front of Jordan. Chelsea and Libby then argue about Lucas and as Chelsea storms out, Jordan goes to hit Denise. Denise looks at her broken family and later she tries to leave to go home to look after them.
As Peggy makes sandwiches and fairy cakes for Ben in The Vic, Phil arrives and reveals that he's taking Louise with them on the visit. Peggy's not happy with the arrangement but expresses her understanding at him wanting Louise by his side at all times. Later, though, Phil's furious to learn that Peggy's asked Shirley to babysit Louise while they're visiting Ben. At the detention centre, a bruised and battered Ben emerges, much to Peggy's horror. With that, Peggy stomps across the room and confronts Cal, the boy responsible. Through the commotion, Ben slips away back to his room. Phil, however, worries that Ben will return home a different boy to the one that went in.
Jodie rubs sun cream onto Darren.
Elsewhere, Peggy's gobsmacked to find a 'For Sale' sign hanging off the side of The Vic; Dot suggests that she's going to contact the vicar to start arranging baby George's Christening; Max winds Darren up about Jodie and their apparent lack of a sex life; Liz continues to torture herself by looking at the place Owen was found in the centre of the Square; Darren and Jodie go for a picnic, where Jodie strips to her bikini; Liz reveals to Dot that she's burying Owen the following day; Darren takes his top off and Jodie rubs sun cream on him; Liz places a flower on Owen's makeshift grave, and Darren finds himself over-excited as Jodie continues to lather him in sunscreen.
Whoa sounds like an awsome week for EastEnders (for a change). Really looking foroward to the Denise parts of this week.
Yay! Lucas to get his comeuppance this week :cheer:
I hope Darren doesn't get circumcised for Jodie's sake
Denise is reunited with her family in EastEnders next week after finally managing to escape Lucas's clutches.
The Walford mum makes her bid for freedom following a heated confrontation with her captor, who is growing increasingly emotional as he deals with the weight of his sins.
Following her escape, Denise is stunned to discover that she has been imprisoned next door to her own house for four weeks and immediately decides to return home, where her family are celebrating Libby's birthday.
As Denise steps into Patrick's hallway, her loved ones are floored by her return - having believed that she was dead and a murderer.
After Denise explains everything, Lucas enters the room and a terrifying stand-off follows as the storyline reaches its climax...

DENISE Johnson is back from the dead – and her grief-stricken family can’t believe what they’re seeing.
As viewers discovered on Friday night, she has been held captive in the house next door by her deranged preacher husband Lucas.
And just as Libby, Chelsea and Patrick are taking in the news that Lucas was the one who murdered Owen Turner, the lunatic bursts into the house.
He then calmly confirms everything Denise has told them is true – leaving poor Libby fuming.
She has to be held back after lashing out at the man who killed her dad.
Tomorrow night, fans will see whether the police finally catch up with the evil bible-basher.
An insider revealed: “It’s Libby’s birthday but the last thing she feels like doing is celebrating.
“She’s lost both parents in the space of a few weeks and is feeling miserable. But Patrick and Chelsea try to make it as nice as possible in the circumstances.
“Libby has just opened a gorgeous locket with a snap of her mum inside when Denise walks in.
“Everyone is in complete shock. Libby can’t believe it but Chelsea is furious.
“She tells her mum that she’s meant to be dead and is a murderer. It’s then that Denise reveals all about Lucas, minutes before he comes in. It’s taken a good few months but when it comes out viewers will not be disappointed.
“But they’ll have to wait to see if the cops get him.”
I can't believe Denise has been "dead" for four weeks

Lisa Fowler is back to cause grief in Phil Mitchell's life when she lets it be known she wants access to Louise in next week's EastEnders.
Phil flies into a rage and when he discovers Peggy has gone behind his back and taken Louise to see Lisa, he slaps his mum.
Diane Parish has revealed that Denise's "explosive" showdown with Lucas at the end of the week will cause "real tears and upset".
Parish, 40, also claimed that her alter ego will stay single in the aftermath of her husband's serial-killing ways.
She exclusively told DS: "There's some explosive stuff [this week]. I think there's going to be some real tears and upset. In terms of where it goes from there - it ain't over until the fat lady sings when it comes to Denise!
"She's taken enough knocks. I don't think she'll be looking for a new man any time soon. I think she's just going to take it easy on the man front.
"I think what needs to happen with the family is that everybody just needs to find their own way to find their own peace. I think that's the future really for all of them."
