Gavin and Stacey star James Corden is reportedly about to sign a £6 million three-year deal with ITV, making him their third highest paid star.
According to reports ITV is set on tempting the 32-year-old BAFTA winner away from the BBC, by offering him his own primetime chat show and comedy series.
Sources say Corden has apparently been dubbed 'ITV1's golden boy' after pulling in 300 per cent more viewers than expected with his World Cup Live show.
If he does agree to an ITV move, James will be the third biggest signing close behind the likes of Ant and Dec, and Simon Cowell who is on £10million.
