View Full Version : Fiz pregnant
OVERJOYED Fiz Stape is set to announce she is pregnant by hubby John - unaware he is a KILLER.
The Corrie factory girl, played by Jennie McAlpine, 26, is thrilled to be starting a family with her man.
But she little suspects that the dad-to-be has left pal Colin Fishwick dead after a clash.
And the villain, played by Graeme Hawley, 36, has buried the body beneath Fiz's workplace Underworld in scenes still to be shown.
The ITV soap's writers have another twist in store. Crimper Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) also falls pregnant - but secretly has an abortion when boyfriend Nick Tilsley isn't ready to be a dad.
When Nick changes his mind and wants to see his baby's scan, Nat begs Fiz to lend her own.
A source said: "Fiz is over the moon about her pregnancy and feels for Natasha.
"But she might wish she was the one who had the abortion when she finds out what John has done."

How much more John Stape he is so dull and boring as is Fiz when she is with him :thumbsdow
oronation Street actress Jennie McAlpine has revealed the reason behind Fiz's earlier-than-expected return from holiday.
McAlpine, 26, told Soaplife that husband John Stape (Graeme Hawley) will be shocked when Fiz announces her pregnancy.
Talking about the storyline, which reaches its climax in the next fortnight, she explained: "She's planned this holiday with John, but she's sick of his lies and says she's going alone.
"She doesn't say she has [left him], but she does say that she's not sure their relationship is working. [But she's] not away for very long because she's got some surprise news for John."
He kills colin!
John Stape didn't kill Colin. He died of natural causes (a heart attack), but John got rid of the body because he was afraid his identity theft would have come to light if the police were called to the scene.
OMG I knew he went mad with rosie but I think this is just going too far

Agreed. I've seen him in a whole new light recently. He wasn't even upset about Colin's death, just afraid of being caught.

I couldnt care less about Fiz and John anymore
CORONATION Street knicker stitcher Fiz Stape will name her baby Hope in the aftermath of the Great Tram Crash which has been filmed for the 50th anniversary.
The new mum, played by Jennie McAlpine, will be devastated by the death and destruction which strikes Weatherfield at Christmas when a tram careers off the viaduct and into the Street.
But she's determined the birth of her new daughter should herald a new era as the Street survivors slowly start to rebuild their lives - and names the tiny tot Hope.
The tram crash, due to be screened in December, will see at least THREE characters die.
Those tipped to be crushed among the rubble include Nick Tilsley, played by Ben Price, Janice Battersby (Vicky Entwistle) and Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden).
A source told TV Biz: "The Great Tram Crash will make great compulsive viewing but bosses don't want it to be all doom and gloom.
"The birth of baby Hope will show viewers and characters alike that life goes on.
"There will be some really tender scenes.
"Everyone loves a baby and the residents will be queueing up to meet her."

Aw hope it isn't both Nick and Janice. That would be horrible for Leanne. :(
I'm really looking forward to this tram accident. It's going to be amazing viewing!!
Since the departure of Les Battersby Janice has become a bit of a non character. Her departure would not really that big a loss. Personally I would hate to see Norris go as I think he is a brilliant character.

I think Ben Price signed a new contract to stay longer and will feature in an affair storyline with Leanne so they wont be killed off
Janice is leaving so could be her
I cant see them killing off Norris
I hope John dies
Coronation Street actress Jennie McAlpine admits that she is dreading the day when she has to film the birth of Fiz Stape's baby.
The popular character recently stunned troubled husband John Stape with the revelation that she is pregnant.
"I would love it if I didn't have to give birth on air," McAlpine told The Sun's Buzz magazine. "I really don't want to do it, but I'm pretty sure they'll make me."
The actress also teased that her character is unlikely to have a happy ending despite the impending birth of her first child.
"Yes, Fiz might end up being a single mum," she revealed. "She must be set for more misery and heartbreak."
McAlpine has played Fiz for almost ten years, over the course of which the character has evolved from a teen tearaway to a responsible young woman.

Did anyone see Fizz in today's Sun magazine? What a difference Jennie is with her make up done and some fab clothes.
There's a lovely interview in the Manchester Evening News with the mum of the little baby who plays baby Hope Stape in Coronation Street.
Sadie Pilbury is one of two babies to play Hope and will be seen on screen in the coming weeks when Fiz is finally allowed to bring her home from hospital.
Real life mum Madeline from Stalybridge said: "A very good friend of ours works for Northern Kids theatre company and on the day she was born they said Coronation Street was looking for a baby girl. We weren’t sure at first. We’ve never done anything like this before. We’re not acting people. But when we spoke to the people at Coronation Street we were reassured. They said they usually use twins in case one gets a bit grumbly but they couldn’t find any so they’re using two little girls instead. They do look quite similar. We’ve only just filmed the first few scenes. Because she’s so young there are so many rules and regulations about how many hours she can spend on set – it’s just a few hours a day at the most. You’re always there with her in case there’s a problem but we had no problems at all on the first day, they looked after us so well."
Madeline said she wasn’t a fan before but has had to start watching now. She added: "A lot of my family are really big fans though and they’re so excited. I have to keep pinching myself."
