Ric and Diane's lives are changed forever, when Ric returns to his family home in Ghana, hoping to find a more fulfilling role in his brother's clinic. While Diane, reeling from setbacks in her new marriage and stunned by the news that her surgical ward at Holby is to close, travels to Ghana to convince Ric that he's needed at home to fight the closure.
