Stunned by the news of Steph's cancer, Gilly pleads with Steph not to shut him out of her life during such a difficult time. Steph, however, is resolute on fighting her illness alone.
Finding an appointment letter of Steph's, Gilly decidedly takes action and meets her at the hospital. There, Steph receives more devastating news.
Meanwhile, Loretta's jealous when Jake agrees to help out at MOBS instead of spending the day with her. After witnessing a fruity incident between Jake and Jem, Loretta's jealousy boils over, inciting her to tell a terrible lie…
Elsewhere, Carmel returns to work at Evissa and while Michaela secretly records an exclusive interview with the grieving widow, Theresa offers her support.
As her betrayal is unveiled, Michaela defends her actions and reveals that she was only trying to clear Calvin's name. Will Carmel agree to talk in a bid to protect her dead husband's name?

It's the day of Steph's hysterectomy. Much to Gilly's frustration, Steph tells a white lie to her family to protect them from the truth.
At the hospital, though, Gilly decides that enough is enough and makes a call to the Osbornes…
Meanwhile, Loretta thinks that her leukaemia lie is a success as Jake's now totally devoted. Her lie quickly spirals out of hand, though, when she learns that Charlie had leukaemia, too.
After a brief chat with Dom and a look at the calendar, Jake quickly begins to question Loretta's claims.
Elsewhere, Newt tries to convince Rae that there's no deathly curse ahead of her 18th birthday. She's unconvinced, though, and takes dramatic action in a bid to protect herself.

When she's eventually released, Michaela's flushed with success about her edgy, gangland story but her joy soon turns to heartbreak when she learns of Zak's whereabouts.
Realising that Meriel's to blame for the situation, Michaela panics when she hits at what's on the front page of tomorrow's newspaper.
Meanwhile, Ricky visits his father in hospital. As the truth dawns on him that Martin's condition is far worse than he's willing to admit, Ricky digs deep for courage.
Cindy admits to a suspicious Tony that she's been looking at houses in North Wales - she wants a fresh start to their marriage. Reluctantly heading out to peruse potential new pads, Tony witnesses a glamorous woman being mown down by a car.
