These are the vamped up rooms that will greet this year's contestants as they enter the Big Brother house next week.

Glass walls, a circus-themed bedroom, a decadent bathroom and an old-fashioned fairground merry-go-round ride set the scene for the 11th and final series which starts on Channel 4 next Wednesday.

Producers have promised that this series will end the long-running show with a bang, and no expense appears to have been spared decorating the house.

The living room, where housemates will spend most of their time, boasts a semi-circular red sofa which dominates the space.

Glass walls surround the room which has a door leading out to the Diary Room and the chair which will be kept under wraps until the very first show.

The living room also pays homage to the show's host Davina McCall, with a painting of her interviewing a contestant adoring one part of the wall.

Let's hope this year's contestants are not a modest bunch as the glass walls run right round the bathroom too.

The dim lighting gives the room a decadent feel, with low-hanging lamps next to the red sinks.

There also appears to be a forest scene on the walls, complete with trees and foliage, which are also laid out in the green and white tiles that surround the huge round bath.

Eagle-eyed fans will also no doubt spot the chickens painted along the bottom of the glass walls, with two in the shower and two looking in from the patio doors.

Whether there will be real chickens in the garden for the housemates to look after and get freshly-laid eggs on every day will be revealed when the show starts.

Moving into the dining room, the large spacious area next to the kitchen looks out onto the garden and boasts a big table that seats 12.
Spacious: The open plan kitchen and dining room, decorated with what seems to be blue china patterns, looks out onto the garden

Fancy: Two of the housemates will have served to them on blue willow pattern china

And place settings for the housemates have already been laid with plates, a mixture of plain and blue and white willow pattern china.

Out into the garden, this year's surprise is the seating area, decked out like an old-fashioned fairground merry-go-round, the carousel horses acting as seats for the housemates.

There is also a hot tub for contestants to unwind in - and possibly make some headlines - as well as a cosy wooden hideaway and a painting of a dancing bear in keeping with the circus-theme.

The 11th and last series of the popular reality TV show starts next Wednesday night on Channel 4 and its sister station E4 and will run for 13 weeks.

Regular host Davina McCall will be joined by George Lamb and new presenter Emma Willis who will host the live chat show Big Brother's Little Brother.

Big Brother started in 2000 and over the past decades has produced some household names such as the late Jade Goody and series 2 winner Brian Dowling, but most contestants have faded into obscurity.

World's most surgically enhanced woman will appear in final Big Brother

THE world's most surgically enhanced woman is to star in the final series of Big Brother, we can reveal.

Big-boobed Brit Sarah Burge has spent a staggering £500,000 on 27 ops to turn herself into a human Barbie doll.

And Channel 4 chiefs think the 50-year-old plastic surgery nut will be a great talking point for the nation when she moves into the BB house this Wednesday,

A source on the show said: "Sarah is certainly not shy. She is as outspoken as she is enhanced.

"We think cosmetic surgery on this scale is a great issue for us to tackle."

Single mum-of-three Sarah caused controversy three months ago when she allowed her 15-year-old daughter to have Botox on her face. Sarah herself spends £20,000 a year maintaining her looks, which she started changing when she was 26.

Her procedures have included two facelifts, silicone implants in her cheeks and chin, a breast reduction and uplift to take her from a 32H to 32E, plus liposuction on her neck, stomach, hips and thighs.

She has also had a tummy tuck, buttock implants, fat transfer and several laser and skin abrasion treatments to remove wrinkles.

The twice-divorced former nurse and air hostess said she turned to surgery to "bounce back" from a "traumatic and topsy-turvy life."

She boasted: "I'm a little different.

"I'm proud of the lifestyle decision I have made and prouder still of the results.

"And I would love it if my experiences encouraged other women to follow in my footsteps."

A VERY special housemate called Bob Righter is joining the wannabes.

The surprise new addition will be waiting for the gang when they enter the Big Brother 11 house.

Details are being kept under wraps. But we can reveal that Bob Righter is an anagram for Big Brother.

This has led to speculation that he could be a robot or talking figurine. It is rumoured that Bob will be calling the shots throughout the final series which starts on Wednesday and runs for 13 weeks.

Word has it he will set tasks and secret missions. And he may even make the £100,000 prize go up or down.

Big Brother executive producer Phil Edgar Jones said: “He’s going to be waiting in the lounge for the housemates when they arrive. I can’t say anything more than that.

“You’ll have to tune in to the launch to see who he is.

“He is just one of many surprises up our sleeve this year.”

The 90 hopefuls will gather at Elstree Studios for the 9pm launch show on C4.

All have applied to be housemates. But none will find out whether they have made the final line-up until the launch show.

Some 14 lucky contestants will be chosen live on air to be housemates. The others will be sent home losers.

BIG Brother is planning its biggest-ever launch night twist, with 100 wannabes fighting for a place live on air.

In the past TV bosses have selected the contestants for the show in advance.

But for the last ever Big Brother, host Davina McCall, 42, will gather 100 candidates at Elstree studios in Hertfordshire.

All will have passed medical, police and psychological tests and been told they might become housemates.

When they are all brought together, Davina will tell them they face a special task.

The challenge itself will be kept under wraps until launch night next month.

However, the first 16 applicants to pass the test will win a place in the BB house and the rest will be sent packing.

Last night our BB mole said: "This is the biggest stunt that producers have ever pulled off.

"Bosses have unearthed what they think are 100 potentially good housemates.

"But none of them has got a guaranteed place on the show. It's going to be a tough battle."

Last night a spokesman for the show would only say: "This may be the end but there are still a few more surprises in store."

Big Brother 11, due to start next month, will be the longestever series staged, lasting just over 13 weeks.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that BB bosses are expecting a spot of bother this summer.

They have got acne cream makers Freederm to sponsor the show.

BIG Brother bosses have bowed to fan pressure and will broadcast a live feed from inside the house 24 hours a day.

But die-hard viewers can only access it on the web – and they will be charged to watch.

There are three options: 49p a day, £1.99 for a week or £14.99 for a “season pass” to cover the entire 13 weeks the show will be on air.

The station will not make any profit since the cash will cover the cost of broadcasting the feed.

Round-the-clock coverage was axed two years ago as bosses couldn’t afford the £1million bill.

Fans thought it gave C4 producers the chance to edit footage to suit their own ends.

Commissioning editor David Williams said: “This is a great way of Channel 4 giving the fans the all-access action that they want.”

The broadcaster will give away free season passes to the first 1,000 people to register at channel4.com/bigbrother from 7pm on Tuesday.

A DISCO-dancing dwarf, a former Playboy bunny and a disgraced beauty queen - yes, it's time for the last ever Big Brother.

These desperados are among nearly EIGHTY wannabes hoping to get into the house.

Bosses are going for maximum humiliation by herding them into a giant PEN on the live launch show tomorrow - hosted by Davina McCall.

About ten people will then be picked from the group to star in the Channel 4 show.

The wannabes also include a female wrestler, a former squaddie who lost both legs and an eye in Northern Ireland and an ex-member of the Queen's staff.

There is a professional Beyonce lookalike who admits she looks in the mirror 100 times a day.

A married naturist couple are also in the running, along with a US neuroscientist studying for a PhD.

The most high-profile of the batch is sprinter Linford Christie's niece Rachel, 21, who was stripped of her Miss Great Britain title last year after a fight with Miss Manchester in a club.

Single Rachel said she was misunderstood, adding: "People are jealous of my looks."

She is far from the only beauty queen.

Also hoping for BB house space is 23-year-old Emma from Glasgow, an events manager who finished third in the same contest.

Then there's another Emma - the 22-year-old 2005 Miss UK, a mum of one from Cardiff who's had a boob op taking her from a 30B to a massive 30FF.

But that's nothing next to former Playboy bunny Sarah, 49, who's spent half a million on cosmetic surgery and says: "I'm plastic fantastic."

She claims she's had famous boyfriends - and will name them if she gets in the house.

Then there's pre-op transsexual Donna of the Kit Kat Dolls, booted off BGT in 2007 after a sex-for-sale scandal. She claimed: "They were all working as prostitutes - but I wasn't."

Donna said of her sex change: "I've only been taking my hormones for three-and-a-half weeks. I may not go through with it." Another hopeful is Iranian dwarf Amin, 19.

Nicknamed Bigs, he is a dancer in a London club and says he's looking for love with a woman who's 5ft 5ins or 5ft 6ins tall.

He said: "I want to show the world you can achieve what you want."

Another hopeful Jake, 23, confesses to being a "mummy's boy" with a sock fetish.

The recruitment consultant from Hemel Hempstead, Herts, likes to sniff freshly removed footwear.

Budding wrestler and teetotaller Faye, 20, from Tamworth, Staffs, is also on the list.

Her sister has competed in Gladiators - and she admitted she was "gutted" not to have appeared on the show too.

Davina insisted BB11 would be the best yet.

She said: "The final series is going to be everything you thought you knew about Big Brother but didn't. I think it will be the one you remember forever."

The fun starts tomorrow at 9pm.

BIG Brother’s last-ever housemates are already romping and rowing before the show has even started.

The 81 contenders were put under lockdown last night after coming face to face for the first time.

They will find out at tonight’s Big Brother 11 launch show if they are one of the lucky 13 to enter the house.

But we can reveal that there have already been bust-ups while they have been hidden away in a secret location.

And there is love as well as war as some of the wannabes have been sneaking away from their minders for secret sex sessions.

Posh student Alex, 20, from Oxford, angered Linford Christie’s niece Rachel, 21, with her outbursts slating the other contestants.

The blonde, whose dad is a millionaire, said: “Big Brother has always been full of chavs, lager louts and airheads desperate for fame and money. I wanna show people what class is.”

But it is not just war breaking out behind the scenes.

Several romances have bloss-omed and insiders admit some wannabes have already managed to get down and dirty.

Jordan wannabe Corin, 29, from Cheshire, has confessed she is bisexual but refused to say if she would get up to any naughtiness on the show, hosted by Davina McCall, 42. But sources said she has got her eye on at least one girl and one guy. One show source said: “If they’re causing this much craziness behind the scenes, imagine what they’ll be like on camera.”

Big Brother is on Channel 4 at 9pm tonight.

BB bosses plan 'Ultimate Champion' series
Wednesday, June 9 2010, 08:31 BST

Digital SpyBig Brother boss Phil Edgar-Jones has announced that the show's producers are planning a two-week 'Ultimate Champion' series featuring former housemates.

The special run, which is expected to launch soon after the conclusion of Big Brother 11, will see a group of fan favourites living together, completing tasks and being evicted one-by-one before viewers crown their winner.

Speaking to The Sun, Edgar-Jones revealed: "It's a bittersweet moment with Big Brother ending, but the Ultimate Champion will ensure we end on a high.

"As well as finding fans' favourite housemate, it will also be a trip down memory lane as they discuss experiences in the house. It will be a nostalgic treat for people who love the show and remind us why it was so great."

The show chief is reportedly planning to start approaching potential housemates tomorrow. Bosses hope that the programme will star "the best of the best" from Big Brother's history, meaning that former winners and other memorable contestants - some from the celebrity version - will be invited to take part.

Edgar-Jones added: "Some old faces have been asking for weeks if we're bringing them back, saying they want in. Billi Bhatti and Nikki Grahame have both been asking."

This year's 'Big Brother' winner is set to stay in the house an extra two weeks and be joined by some of the most memorable housemates from previous series, including the celebrity version.

The contestants of those last two weeks will all compete for the title of ultimate champion, as 'Big Brother 11' will be the last ever series of Channel 4's reality TV show.

Although names of the former housemates set to appear in the house haven't been revealed yet, it looks like the line-up will include former winners – such as Nadia Almada and Brian Dowling – as well as other colourful characters.

Show boss Phil Edgar-Jones told The Sun: "Some old faces have been asking for weeks if we're bringing them back, saying they want in. Billi Bhatti and Nikki Grahame have both been asking."

He added: "It's a bittersweet moment with 'Big Brother' ending, but the ultimate champion will ensure we end on a high.

"As well as finding fans' favourite housemate, it will also be a trip down memory lane as they discuss experiences in the house.

"It will be a nostalgic treat for people who love the show and remind us why it was so great."

Earlier this week, Channel 4 for the first time published a list of 79 candidates hoping to take part in the brand new series. All of them will know their fate tonight as they attend the live launch of 'Big Brother 11'.

Earlier today, Digital Spy was granted an extra-special guided tour of the Big Brother 11 house. The show's producers and Channel 4's bosses were excited to show us the "twisted carnival"-themed compound, which looks destined to go down as one of the best ever designs. You can see all the official press pictures of the house elsewhere (click here), but we wanted to also give you our own take on the last ever BB home.

Will all housemates gather on the sofas?

A lot has been explained in the official press release, which describes the house as "Alice In Wonderland meets Salvador Dali". It also confirms rumours that there is a "circus" and "carnival theme". Hence the carousel in the garden and the paintings of circus animals (our personal favourite was a large bear) and strongmen. Clowns dominate the bedrooms (as they did in the last Celebrity run), which currently contains enough space for 13 housemates. Meanwhile, the classic tiled and glass bathroom includes a wall of drawings paying homage to BB history. We immediately spotted Davina and the paparazzi, but Phil Edgar Jones also pointed out a little drawing of Craig snogging Orlaith during BB6 - and we suspect there may be other classic moments hidden in the montage.

Bedroom in the Big Brother 11 House

The new-look bedroom. Watch out for clowns!

The Diary Room is currently being kept top secret, but we can reveal that it currently has a similar skyline/clouds paintwork as the entrance steps. The most common theories from journos at the event was that the chair will either be the same as the original BB1 seat, or have a heavenly throne-esque design.

But I guess what you really want to know is how does the house feel? Well, after some rather funky, modern designs and stripped-back-to-basics houses in recent years, it actually felt rather homely and luxurious. The love den/nest, or whatever you want to call it, is especially lovely and is bound to be a popular destination for all the housemates. The producers admitted that they wanted a "lived-in feeling" about the compound, which they have achieved. There are little nods to houses gone by (there are chicken drawings galore), but I won't reveal them all because half the fun is in finding them yourself.

A few final little things we spotted - which may be totally insignificant, but we all like to speculate, right? - are that the carousel horses have the names Amber, Rose and Jan. In the bathroom, there is a tiny area of grass behind a revolving sheet of glass. Housemates could potentially be locked behind this, but it looked too small to be a jail. Meanwhile, the kitchen table includes smashed plates built into the top surface as place mats. Also, for the first time in a long while, the housemates will be able to see their fellow contestants as they walk up the stairs on eviction night - they will even get a glimpse of freedom through the main door when they walk out to the boos and cheers.

Last week, we brought you an exclusive interview with Phil Edgar Jones about the start of Big Brother 11. Being the BB fanatics we are, it was impossible to squeeze the entirety of our chat into one single interview. But rather than let it go to waste, we've cobbled together the rest of our talk for your pleasure. Keep reading to hear Phil's views on the show's future, its legacy and what makes a "magic" BB series.

The celebrity version of the show now appears to be more popular than the summer programme. Do you think that the public are tired of watching people without any obvious talents?
"I think there's a tipping point for all these things, isn't there? I think we've stocked the Z-list reality TV market pretty full now. Probably to breaking point. There ain't no room for any more of them. But to keep this show on for ten years is pretty impressive, I think. It may not be as popular as it was, but we still get good viewing numbers and it's still the most popular show on Channel 4. It's pretty incredible that we've kept it going. But it's all about perception. People thought it was about wannabes and all these dreadful people. I think we have suffered from that down the years. But for the fans who actually sit and watch the programme, you will still see good storylines and good relationships. But maybe there is a case of how many storylines are there? Have we told them all before?"

I thought Big Brother 10 was one of the show's best series. Did the lack of recognition for last year's summer run disappoint you?
"You know that you are not going to hit the heights of Big Brother 3 and 5, but I can deal with that. But then again, you never know. This last Celebrity Big Brother, there was a chemistry that happened, which really caught on. I agree with you that last year we had brilliant housemates, but maybe there was a little bit of chemistry missing. We put the show together as best we can, put the housemates together as best we can, but you always have to wait and hold your nerve for that little bit of magic which sets the show on fire. Sometimes it happens like in Big Brother 2 with Helen and Paul, Big Brother 3 with Jade and Big Brother 5 with Nadia and her crew. We can't always have that, but even without it, we have a solid big audience who watch the show and get caught up in the soap opera of it all."

Lots of people are presuming that the Big Brother will be picked up by another broadcaster. Are they being foolishly optimistic in thinking that?
"I really don't know. The TV market changes all the time. What broadcasters are looking for changes all the time. I go every year to a Big Brother conventions where all the BB producers from around the world meet up. It's like the United Nations for nutjobs. Basically the rest of Europe just nicks our ideas. But anyway... Big Brother is on around the world in so many countries and has gone through these peaks and troughs over there. It was massive in Germany, then suddenly it declined and was taken off air - but it is now coming back again. The same in Spain. The Aussie show was huge, but then got taken off air. In America it is constantly up and down, but the last series was one of the best. That could happen here. But the British broadcasters are unique in that they always want to come up with fresh ideas. I do think it will be back over here, but I don't think it will be as soon as a couple of years time. In the meantime, people can just watch the foreign ones. They are really good and they just nick our ideas."

The show has been at the forefront of changes to the way we consume TV with spinoff shows, the online feed and Twitter. Do you think that is what its legacy will be?
"That's one of the things I'm most proud of. It was one of the first truly interactive shows, where the audience could control the show in large volumes. Deciding who stayed and who went was a main selling point at the start. And when the 'nasty' Nick thing happened, it was the first TV show which really connected online. People were gathered around their computers watching the streaming, which was the first time that had happened. Like you say, we invented the spinoff show with BBLB. It was the first show of its kind and stuff like that and Big Mouth has been imitated by many other people. It's easy to overstate the influence and I don't want to oversell the show, but you can see the effect it has had, dribbling into all these other programmes. Shows like The Apprentice, I'm A Celebrity..., which is basically Big Brother just cut slightly differently. It has also has a cultural legacy in many ways. It democratised TV for many people. It allowed people on TV who wouldn't normally get on TV. And it took culture back to people a little bit more. There's a definite snobbery from TV makers about parts of the world that they don't want you to see or engage with in anyway. I think Big Brother stuck two fingers up at that and said, 'we're young, f**k off world'."

Big Brother will feature a Glee-themed task later in the series, DS can reveal.

The housemates will be asked to take part in a singing challenge based around the hit US musical comedy series.

"This should be one of the most fun tasks in the series, which all Glee fans will love," said a show source. "Glee has been the TV hit of the year, so it's only right that the Big Brother housemates get involved."

The season finale of Glee pulled in 1.55 million viewers for E4 earlier this week.

"We can't reveal what the challenge will involve because we are trying to keep it secret," added the source. "But it will involve the housemates singing. It will be High School Musical meets Glee meets Big Brother. Let's hope all the housemates are Gleeks!"

Caoimhe is the latest contestant to quit the Big Brother house.
The Irish student walked out of the Channel 4 reality show after almost six weeks in the house and two weeks after her close friend Shabby also quit.

Caoimhe asked to leave on Monday night, saying she wanted to get back to her boyfriend and family, and saying she was finding life tough in the house. She told her fellow housemates she valued the relationship with her boyfriend more than continuing her Big Brother experience.

The quiff-haired housemate proposed to her boyfriend from the Diary Room after becoming worried that he might misconstrue her close relationship with lesbian squatter Shabby, who confessed she had feelings for Caoimhe.

As she left, the other housemates lined up by the Diary Room door to hug her goodbye and Rachel led a cheer and chanted her name. Ben kissed her goodbye and told her: "Give my love to Shabby."

After she left, John James leant against the wall, looking despondent, and was hugged by Mario. He then went out alone to the snug and burst into tears, sobbing uncontrollably.

Caoimhe was punished by Big Brother for asking the other housemates to nominate her this week and so was not allowed to nominate herself. She did not know that she was in fact nominated for eviction anyway.

In addition to this, Keeley broke a fundamental rule of Big Brother by openly discussing nominations with her fellow housemates, so her nominations were invalid. Therefore the housemates with the most nominations are Rachel with three nominations, Keeley with two nominations and Corin with two nominations. All three will take part in the save and replace task later today.

Tuareet

The save and replace task had to be abandoned after Keeley injured herself so the same 3 are up for eviction, Keeley, Corin and Rachel.

X Factor twins Jedward are reportedly set to enter the Big Brother house.

The twins, John and Edward Grimes, will enter the house on Friday and perform for the housemates as part of this week’s shopping task, according to the Daily Star Sunday.

A source said: "Love them or hate them, Jedward are hilarious to watch and they’re bound to boost the ratings.

"As it’s the last series, producers are doing everything they can to make the Friday night shows unmissable - and with the twins performing, this week’s eviction will be just that."

The pair added: "We’re extremely honoured to be the first people in the show’s history to go into the Big Brother house to do a performance.

"We’re so excited to get in there and see the housemates face to face."

A ghost has left Big Brother bosses spooked after it was caught wandering through the bedroom at night.

Now they believe it could be the spectre of late BB star Jade Goody.

Last week we told how the show had been hit with a series of disasters including walk- outs and accidents. Many claimed it was the ghost of Jade – who died last year from cervical cancer – coming back to cause mischief on the final series of BB.

In the early hours of yesterday, a figure of a woman was seen walking through the bedroom while all the housemates snoozed.

Last night a show spokeswoman said: “We are monitoring the situation.”

This week the gang will face their toughest-ever task.

From Wednesday to Friday, a string of intruders will invade the house and the housemates have to ignore them or they will fail the challenge. But it’s going to be hard.

The guests include the wives of Steve and Dave, a hunky muscleman to please lonely gay Mario, some tourists taking snaps of the house, and X Factor twins Jedward performing their new single.

Yesterday geeky Andrew Edmonds, 19, was given a mission by the Tree of Temptation.

He had to become Jack Bauer for 24 minutes. And just like Kiefer Sutherland’s action hero from the series 24, he took the other housemates hostage in the bedroom.

Andrew passed the test and was rewarded with a massage in the diary room by some sexy girls.

Late entrant Laura has walked out the Big Brother house after less than a week on the show.

The 20-year-old sales assistant from Stratford-Upon-Avon exited without telling her housemates after spending a number of days pondering her position in the house.

She was selected to enter the show last Friday, when the housemates were given the option of choosing three new contestants from a group of six. After making the decision, Josie expressed annoyance at Laura's selection, prompting the Elstree crowd to boo her as she entered the house.

Laura expressed fears during her stint in the house about the crowd's reaction to her entrance.

Last Sunday, she revealed to Jo that she was feeling "overwhelmed" by the Big Brother experience and on Tuesday revealed that she was contemplating leaving. She put in a request to leave the show late on Tuesday, but was talked out of going through with it.

After talking to Ben, Corin, Dave and Josie yesterday, Laura vowed not to request to leave again.

Oh dear another one bites the dust. Why do they bother going in at all? I feel sorry for the people who were rejected.

Laura has become the third person to quit the Big Brother house.
The 20-year-old sales assistant left at 8.52am on Wednesday before any of the other housemates had been woken by the alarm.

As the lights came on and the housemates began to notice the self-proclaimed sex-mad Laura was not around, they began to ask questions.

Katie Price lookalike Corin asked: "Where's Laura?"

Army veteran Steve said: "Is she in the toilet?"

Air hostess Rachel suggested she was probably in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother. Boxer JJ said: "You don't think she's gone, do you?"

The others seemed convinced she would return from the Diary Room, but later discovered she was leaving.

Since arriving in the house on Friday evening, Laura has cried on many occasions and told fellow housemates and Big Brother she is thinking of leaving. She revealed she is missing her boyfriend, and is worried time apart from him will jeopardise their relationship.

On Tuesday morning when she told Corin, Josie, Mario and Ben she was going to leave, they persuaded her to stay a bit longer and think it over. They told her they had all had times of feeling upset and wanting to quit the show, but promised her she will get over it. After her chat she went to the Diary Room and said she had decided to give it another week. But on Wednesday morning, after speaking to Big Brother, she left through the Diary Room door.

Laura has become one of the housemates with the shortest ever Big Brother stay - just 100 hours.

Josie may be the hot favourite to win tonight's final series of 'Big Brother', but her victory is set to be overshadowed by some familiar faces who will be entering the famous house.

As a final goodbye to the reality series, this evening sees the launch of 'Ultimate Big Brother', which will see some of the most memorable housemates return with the hope of being crowned the champion of champions.

Channel 4 is promising the best-loved and most reviled faces from past series of both 'Big Brother' and 'Celebrity Big Brother' and, while the final line-up is top secret, here are the housemates tipped to make a re-appearance...

Chantelle Hougton, the non-celebrity who memorably won 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2006, is expected to re-enter the house tonight and to make things just that tiny bit more complicated, her ex-husband Preston (who she met in the house) is also believed to be taking part.

Mr Katie Price - aka Alex Reid - was initially believed to be reluctant to take part just months after winning the celebrity edition. However, reports today suggest that a big fat £150,000 cheque has persuaded him to change his mind.

Vanessa Feltz, who seemingly had a mini breakdown on the 2001 series, is also rumoured to be returning and Dane Bowers (another former Katie Price love interest) is also said to be joining the show.

Former winners Brian Dowling, Brian Belo and Nadia Almada are tipped to be taking part in the two-week series, while the infamous Makois Musambasi and BB1 legend 'Nasty' Nick Bateman are bound to stir things up if they are indeed re-entering the house.

Other names linked to 'Ultimate Big Brother' include first series winner Craig Phillips, BB3's clean freak Alex Sibley and housemate–turned-glamour model Michelle Bass.

The final of 'Big Brother' and the launch of 'Ultimate Big Brother' kick off on Channel 4 tonight at 8pm.

JOSIE Gibson won the final series of Big Brother last night with a whopping 77.5 per cent of the public vote – making her one of the most popular winners EVER.

The 25-year-old has now joined a number of famous faces from previous series to battle it out in Ultimate Big Brother.

The financial sales rep from Bristol fell into the arms of her Aussie lover John James after being interviewed by Davina McCall and snogged him on stage.

Josie, who beat Christian minister Dave Vaughan into second place, said: "I can't believe I did it."

On John James - who had a bra thrown at him by a girl in the crowd - she said: "He is really handsome in a football kit. He is a bit out of my league though. Every minute without him felt like an hour. It was really hard. When he was not there I got really down."

Josie said she would be giving £20,000 of her £100,000 prize money to cancer charity Clic and said she would also buy disabled housemate Steve Gill a new leg.

Host Davina described the size of Josie's vote as "absolutely astonishing."

She said: "I have never known that before."

Runner-up Dave, 39, said: "I feel pretty overwhelmed. I am really excited. I am amazed I made the final."

Speaking about his experiences becoming "drunk on God", he said: "Anyone can become intoxicated in the glory."

As Davina commented on his physical transformation since entering the house, the Welsh monk received wolf whistles from the crowd.

Mario Mugan came third, receiving 5.1 percent of the public vote.

The Big Brother superfan, who originally went into the house as a mole, described being in there as being like a constant whirlwind.

He said: "It was like a magical adventure."

JJ Bird was fourth with 4.5 per cent of the public vote

The professional boxer spent four weeks in the house and said he stuck up for his friend John James because they got on so well.

The 23-year-old claimed he didn't know Corin liked him and said they had just had a tickle in bed and nothing more and backed Josie to win.

JJ, who is good friends with JLS's Aston said his time in the house was amazing.

Maths student Andrew, 19, polled 3.9 per cent of the vote to finish fifth.

He said: "My time in the house was the best experience of my life."

Andrew said that despite gaining confidence he was still "100 per cent a geek".

He laughed off his crush on Josie and said his talk with John James over his feelings for her was 'awkward'.

He said: "I feel completely different since entering the house, I am a lot more confident and I am more sure of myself."

"I am really looking forward to going back to uni."

Rumours are rife that Big Brother is set to return to screens this summer - but this time on Five.

The News Of The World reports that bosses at Endemol - which owns the rights to the series - are finalising a deal with the channel to revive the show after it was dropped by Channel 4.

Big Brother began in 2000 and ran for 11 series on Channel 4 before falling viewing figures finally led to its demise in 2010.

Channel 5 - which is now owned by Richard Desmond - originally expressed interest in buying the rights last summer but negotiations fell through.

"Desmond bought Channel 5 midway through last year hoping to turn it around," an insider told the paper.

"Things have not gone as well for him as he would have liked, and so he needs Big Brother to prop up his summer schedules.

"But he is turning to a formula that Channel 4 decided to axe because it just wasn't bringing in enough viewers.

"Nothing is signed yet but there have been fresh discussions with Endemol after earlier negotiations broke down."

The previous talks reportedly collapsed after Endemol asked for too much money, but the paper now reports they are set to sell it for a reduced fee.

"For their part, Channel 5 feel pleased with the price now," a source added. "But whether anyone will actually watch it to give them a return for their cash is anybody's guess.

At the height of its popularity Big Brother - whose most famous housemates included Brian Dowling, Jade Goody, Craig Phillips and Nadia Almada - was watched by around 5m viewers a night. However ratings had fallen to less than 3m by the time the axe fell in 2010.

The final series of the show on Channel 4 was won by Josie Gibson.
