And finally - in the wake of the factory blast - Nick manages to set up the Turners building as a temporary workspace in a bid to complete Paul Stokes' order.

Trading under a new name of 'Nick's Nicks', Platt Snr manages to talk Leanne into helping him secure the use of what would have been her and Peter's wine bar.

Peter, however, isn't best pleased when he hears what's happened and presumes that there's something going on between the ex-lovers.

Nick attempts to rescue the business

Peter discovers that Nick has struck a deal with Leanne.
Natasha's not happy in the slightest when she hears that Nick's involved in business dealings with his ex-wife Leanne. So, keen to cement their relationship, Natasha suggests that she and Nick move in together.

Later, Nick shows Paul Stokes around the Turners' property, urging him to reconsider the contract as he's hired machines and is now trading under new name 'Nick's Nicks'. Paul's impressed but will Nick be able to pull the deal off?

As Nick leaves Turners, he comes face-to-face with Peter who demands to know what's going on. At first, he stonewalls but when Peter presses for the truth, will Nick come clean about his deal with Leanne?

Meanwhile, Fiz is shocked when she receives a call from Chesney's school, informing her that he hasn't turned up for his exam. At home, though, Ches is unrepentant, insisting that exams are pointless.

A row ensues but when Ches heads out, Fiz is stunned to find a wad of cash in his room. What's Ches been up to?

Roy and Hayley struggle to keep a secret, so gather their friends to reveal their big news.


Peter learns of Leanne's deal with Nick

Nick and Peter square up in the Rovers over the factory deal.
Nick's grateful when Natasha offers him the cash he needs for George - she's marking her territory but Nick makes it clear that it's purely a business arrangement.

Later, Peter finds Leanne and lets rip about the deal she's made with Nick. Leanne insists that she did what she did for Janice but Peter's convinced - he's sure that there's something going on with Nick.

Leanne's horrified as Peter storms into the pub and confronts Nick about his 'arrangement' with Leanne. A provocative Nick taunts Peter and Ciaran's forced to step in as Peter sounds a clear warning - stay away from his fiancée.

Meanwhile, when Hayley takes some fire-damaged stock to a stall on the market, she's shocked to see Ches selling dog collars. Fiz is summoned to the location and demands that he return home with her. Ches, however, refuses as stall owner Owen steps in.

With the truth about his truancy out, Ches reveals that his market trading started by accident when he ordered too many collars on eBay and saw it as a way to make money. With that, he reveals that he wants a career as a market trader.

Elsewhere, Tina returns to work in The Kabin; Mary decides to help Hayley with her wedding plans; Ciaran plans his speed dating night at The Rovers, while Michelle wonders if it's just a way of pulling someone himself; and Hayley's concerned when a manic-looking Mary bounds towards her with a wedding folder.



John's recognised by an old work colleague

When John arrives at the exam marking course and introduces himself as Colin Fishwick, he panics when he spots ex-colleague Charlotte. Backed into a corner, he's forced to reveal his identity fraud in order to stop Charlotte from blowing his cover.

Charlotte's intrigued as John explains everything and pleads with her to maintain his cover. But as Charlotte flirtatiously toys with him, will she play ball?

Meanwhile, as Leanne and Peter continue to row, she insists that Nick should keep his distance and grateful that she stuck her neck on the line for him, he agrees.

Back at home, Leanne states that nothing's going on with Nick but Peter won't let the situation lie. With that, Peter reveals that he's checking if Nick's operations from the Turners' property is legal.

While Leanne accuses her fiancé of acting like Ken, Peter persists in his accusations - it's obvious why she's sticking up for Nick. A furious Leanne, however, can't believe that Peter doesn't trust her after all they've been through.

Jason notes that Tina seems distracted - it's clear she's having doubts about being back with him. Worried that she's slipping back into the depths of depression again, Jason turns to Graeme for advice.

Graeme comes up trumps but when Tina realises that Jason's romantic gesture was down to Graeme's insight, she's thrown into turmoil.

Elsewhere, Ciaran's charm begins to wear Michelle down; Lloyd avoids Cheryl; and Owen tells Ches that he can still work on the market stall on the condition that he finishes his exams.


John panics when Charlotte arrives on the Street
Airs on Thursday, June 17 2010 20:30 BST on ITV1

Fiz panics as she discovers Charlotte knows John's secret.
John's failed to inform Fiz about Charlotte knowing his secret and so panics when she turns up on the Street with some news for him.

In the pub, Charlotte drops her bombshell - Colin Fishwick's returning home. A worried John demands to know more but it's clear that she's simply dramatising.

Fiz, however, is suspicious when she spots John with Charlotte and demands to know what's going on. Realising that Charlotte knows the truth about John's identity fraud, Fiz panics and as a row ensues between the girls, John's caught in the middle.

Meanwhile, a mixed-up Tina admits to Jason that while getting back with him felt right at the time, she's now not sure if he's right for her.

Jason's gutted as a guilty Tina tells him it's over again. Presuming she just needs more space, Jason begs for another chance, but will he be able to talk her round?

Elsewhere, Paul Stokes signs off on his order with Nick; as Lloyd continues to avoid Cheryl, she confides in Leanne that she's in a mess; and Peter apologises to Leanne.

A furious Leanne, however, can't believe that Peter doesn't trust her after all they've been through.

That's a bit rich, considering she was accusing Peter of having an affair with Michelle a few weeks ago. It doesn't bode well for their relationship that they're so untrustworthy of one another.
