Corrie's Gregson worries over wedding

Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has admitted that he is feeling nervous ahead of his wedding to long-term partner Emma Gleave.

The couple are planning to tie the knot in November following a four-year romance.

Speaking to Closer magazine about his forthcoming nuptials, Gregson confessed: "I'm frightened to death! I get terribly claustrophobic in a crowded room, so I'm not looking forward to it.

"Hopefully after a couple of whiskies I'll be fine, although Emma has banned me from drinking until after the ceremony!"

Meanwhile, the actor also insisted that Gleave does not mind watching his Weatherfield character Steve McDonald kissing wife Becky (Katherine Kelly).

He said: "Long meaningful kisses are all a bit embarrassing, but when Becky jumps on Steve and madly snogs him it's less of a real kiss. So the missus can watch it without getting jealous."

Gregson and Gleave have two children together - Alfie, 2, and 10-month-old Harry.

Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has married his long-term partner Emma Gleave.

The actor, who plays Steve McDonald in the ITV1 soap, wed yesterday at St Bartholomew's church in Wilmslow, Cheshire, followed by a reception at Capesthorne Hall in Siddington.

Gregson was spotted walking through The Cottons hotel following a spa treatment yesterday morning. A hotel guest said: "I couldn't believe it when I saw Simon in reception wearing this full-length dressing gown. It was truly bizarre seeing Steve McDonald dressed so oddly.

"On the Friday night he was spotted in the bar at the hotel having a few pints of Guinness with pals."

Guests at the ceremony included Katherine Kelly (Becky McDonald), Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre), and Michael Le Vell (Kevin Webster). Gregson's on-screen mum Beverley Callard (Liz McDonald) was unable to attend as she is on honeymoon after marrying last month.

Gregson and his bride already have two sons together, aged three and one.
