2826: The village deals with Calvin's death

Suzanne desperately tries to revive a dying Calvin, while Rhys frantically calls an ambulance. Carmel watches on helplessly - but it's too late, Calvin's dead.
Darren does his best to comfort Suzanne but it's awkward for them, given their passionate moment earlier in the day. Suzanne's barely had a chance to let the news sink in when she learns that Josh is in hospital, having been involved in another car accident.
Neville's incredulous and stubbornly refuses to visit his son, leaving Rhys to go with Suzanne. Later, however, Neville surprises everyone by showing up. Will Josh take the chance to make amends with his father?
Malachy's desperate to talk to Mercedes, which doesn't go unnoticed and he begins to question whether they both had a hand in Calvin's death. Kris puts his accusation to his brother who admits he didn't kill Calvin but wishes that he had.
Malachy has his own theories, though, and promptly confronts Mercedes about the shooting. Mercedes denies the claim and Malachy buys her denial - for now. But does Mercedes know more than she's letting on?
Elsewhere, Lauren and Sasha are devastated as they watch their brother die in front of them. Fearful that the police will be after him, Gaz asks Lauren to run away with him. While he bargains with her, Leo begins to wonder if there's something that Sasha's not telling him.
Sasha soon starts to wonder about Gaz's motive, the gun's whereabouts and how recent events tie into Calvin's death. Lauren refuses to run away with Gaz, instead choosing to stay with her family. He's gutted by her decision but heads off anyway. Then Lauren disappears, too, much to Sasha's concern…
2827: Lauren comes clean about her 'pregnancy'

Leo and Sasha fear for Lauren's safety. When she finally returns home, Sasha tears into Lauren for leaving them all to worry, before insisting that they all need to stick together. Leo wants them both to look to the future but Lauren's distressed when she realises that he still thinks she's pregnant.
Lauren snaps and reveals that there's no baby but quickly backtracks, lying that she lost it. Leo and Sasha feel for her but the lie's almost too much for the youngster. Away from her family, Lauren packs her bags and calls Gaz - she wants to run away.
Carmel's broken-hearted as she reads her wedding cards, while the police take her wedding dress for forensic examination in the hope it might shed some light on the killer's identity. Myra tries to assure Carmel that Calvin died a happy man because she married him.
Later, DI Andrews interviews Carmel. She struggles to keep a level head as she recalls the events that lead her to that fatal evening and she's further disturbed when Andrews hints that the culprit may be closer to home than she thinks…
Elsewhere, Charlotte returns to halls, having spent the night with Molly. She has no idea what's gone on and is a little disappointed that Calvin's death has overshadowed her first bit of juicy gossip in ages.
Tex suggests that they all visit Josh in hospital after his accident. Josh is more than surprised to see that he still has friends and they help him leave hospital and return to Halls. Have the students finally found it in their hearts to forgive him?

Gaz and Lauren are sleeping rough and need money quickly. Leo and Sasha fret about Lauren's safety - they're worried that she's with Gaz and begin to think that Gaz had a hand in Calvin's death. A concerned Sasha promptly decides to phone the police.
When DI Andrews arrives at the Valentines', they try to explain the circumstances surrounding Lauren's disappearance. Their responses to Andrews' questions put Gaz firmly in the frame - and Lauren…
Gaz suggests that Lauren's better off returning home to her family as the police are after him, not her. However, Lauren's just about to leave when Andrews corner them both. Lauren watches on helplessly as Gaz is dragged away into police custody. Do the police have their man?
Elsewhere, Cheryl and Kris are convinced that Mercedes killed Calvin. Malachy, however, claims that she had nothing to do with it but it's clear that he doesn't really believe his own words.
When Cheryl runs into Carmel, she struggles with the knowledge of Calvin's affair and tries to run off. Carmel thinks that Cheryl knows something about Calvin's murder and it doesn't take much for Cheryl to blurt out the truth - Carmel's stunned to hear that Calvin was sleeping with Mercedes.
2829: Elliot overdoses

Mercedes is livid that Carmel now knows about her affair with Calvin. Afraid that Myra will find out, too, Mercedes tells Malachy that they need to run away. But does Malachy even trust her?
Mercedes begs Carmel not to tell Myra but puts her on the spot in the hope of extracting a confession in front of the whole family. Mercedes bargains for some time alone with Carmel and reveals how and why the affair began.
When Mercedes tries to explain to Carmel that Calvin loved her (Carmel), she accidentally admits that she went to him on the morning of their wedding. Carmel's livid that Mercedes made a last-ditch attempt at seducing him. However, Carmel quickly learns that Calvin rejected her.
With that, Carmel agrees not to move out but something about Mercedes's apology sits uneasy with Malachy. Was Mercedes apologising for the affair? Or for killing Calvin? Malachy's now convinced himself that Mercedes killed him.
Meanwhile, Elliot's panicked about his exams but Nancy's not up to gargantuan task of restoring his confidence. Elliot goes to Kris and Zak for support but they palm him off onto Archie. Elliot listens as Archie reveals a new formula of designer drugs that he's been working on - and he wants him to test them.
Later, Elliot can't help but take more of Archie's pills and realising that he's used the entire stash, he rushes out to find Archie. Kris eventually stumbles upon a practically deranged Elliot in the street.
Kris learns that Archie's been supplying Elliot drugs and they're both horrified when they realise that Elliot's overdosing. Archie watches on helplessly as his Elliot collapses. What have the drugs done to him?
Elsewhere, Rhys hits Gilly where it hurts when he asks if he's still in love with Steph. Gilly's horrified when Jem bumps into Steph and they decide to go for a drink together. Jem grills Steph about the time she declared her love for Gilly. Steph awkwardly attempts to write the incident off as a drunken mistake and Jem agrees to put it behind them.
Jem later confides in Rhys that Steph's still in love with Gilly and Rhys lets slip the feeling might be mutual. Jem confronts Gilly over the claim and his face gives away the truth. In that moment, Jem breaks up with Gilly - he's now free to pursue Steph - but does she still want him?

Elliot wake in hospital, still wired from his overdose. Kris, Zak and Nancy are incredulous when Archie tries to visit and ultimately chase him away. Archie later sneaks back in a bid to see Elliot alone.
When Kris, Zak and Nancy return themselves, they catch Archie trying to bargain for Elliot's silence. A confused Elliot explains that Archie was using him as his guinea pig for a new mix of designer drugs. Hearing the revelation, Kris goes ballistic.
While everyone's distracted, Elliot escapes from hospital. Kris later finds him at home and is forced to explain to Elliot that he's missed his exam. Elliot's inconsolable at the news.
With a dark cloud above him, a guilty and disgraced Archie leaves Hollyoaks for good, while Elliot sits distraught over his ruined future.
Rhys suggests that Gilly man up and lets Steph how he feels. Gilly tries to speak to her at work but loses his nerve when he learns that she's joined a dating website. Jem, however, has the confidence to talk to Steph about the situation and reveals the real reason why she and Gilly are no longer together.
When Gilly hears from Jem that Steph wrote him a letter confessing her love for him, he finally finds the confidence to approach her. Gilly plucks up the courage to tell Steph that he loves her and the pair are finally united by a kiss.
Elsewhere, Cheryl realises that Malachy suspects that Mercedes murdered Calvin. With that, Cheryl confides her belief in Andrews - but soon realises what a mistake she's made when Malachy goes to rescue his wife...
