First Pic: Jo Joyner returns to 'EastEnders'

EastEnders actress Jo Joyner has returned to filming with the soap for the first time since giving birth to twins.

The 32-year-old made her whistlestop comeback yesterday to shoot a single episode which is due to air in the summer.

Details of the ep have yet to be revealed, but those present on location included screen husband Max (Jake Wood) and screen daughter Lauren (Madeleine Duggan).

Beyond the single episode, Jo is due to continue with her maternity leave, before returning to work full-time later in the year.

Tanya left Walford at the end of last year when Max's financial ruin was finally uncovered. Max sold off his salon, Booty, in order to help with his debts, prompting a mistrusting Tanya to drive off with her daughters Lauren and Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald).

Tanya made a brief return for a surprise guest stint during the Christmas Day episode, which saw her collect Abi after Max admitted that he wasn't in a position to look after her properly.

More recently, during Bradley's funeral episode, Lauren revealed that Tanya has a new boyfriend called Gregg.

Yet more pictures have emerged of Jo Joyner's single episode return as Tanya Branning, which bridges the gap until she makes her full-time comeback later this year after her maternity leave.

The ep, which has recently been rumoured to be Madeline Duggan's final episode as Joyner's screen daughter Lauren, is due to air within the next few months.

Also on location with Joyner and Duggan were the rest of their immediate screen family, Jake Wood (Max Branning) and Lorna Fitzgerald (Abi Branning).

Fresh pictures have since emerged of their night shoot.

Last week, Joyner and Duggan were spotted on location filming scenes for the ep. Joyner's appearance was her first with the soap since giving birth to twins.

Fear not, Jo Joyner's still returning to EastEnders, despite signing to appear in new three-part BBC series Candy Cabs.

Earlier today, it was announced that the new mum-of-two will take the lead role in the comedy show which revolves around a group of women launching an all-female taxi firm.

I've had quite a few e-mails from concerned readers wondering how this impacts on Jo's standing with EastEnders and her return as Tanya Branning.

I can confirm, though, that she'll be filming Candy Cabs until the middle of next month and returning to work on Albert Square shortly afterwards.

Until then, there's a standalone episode on the horizon, which sees her make a comeback for Madeline Duggan's final appearance as Lauren Branning.
