JLS have confirmed that their new single will be called 'The Club Is Alive'.

The song's title was revealed on Manchester's In Demand radio show, with its release date also being announced as July 4.

The band later took to Twitter to confirm the news, posting: "New single confirmed as 'The Club Is Alive' - out July 4th - eeeeeeeeeeeek!!! xx."

Yesterday a radio station posted the lyric "The club is alive with the sound of music" from the song on Twitter, suggesting that it samples the title track from the 1965 film The Sound Of Music.

JLS have also confirmed that they are shooting a video for 'The Club Is Alive' while they finish recording their second LP in the US.

JLS's second album is due to be released later this year. Meanwhile, their new single 'The Club Is Alive' will get its first radio airing on Monday.

JLS reportedly want David Blaine to work on the production of their upcoming arena tour.

The band are currently in discussions with the illusionist, reports the Daily Star.

"The guys are chatting to David Blaine to see if he can work with them on coming up with some ideas for the production of their arena tour," said a source.

"They want to incorporate some illusions into their show and are keen for him to come up with the creative work on it as they’re huge fans of his.

"As it’s their first arena tour, JLS want to go all out and make it special for their fans."

The group, who scored their third number one single at the weekend with 'The Club Is Alive', will kick off the tour in Liverpool on December 2.

"It's important for the guys to find out what can be recreated each night easily as they will be taking the props around the country," the insider added.

"They will need tricks that can be quickly assembled and simple to transport. As far as JLS are concerned they think David is the best and can create something incredible."
